This novel is quite good. At first, it's kinda weird reading from a perspective of a cub. At the same time, it's nice to know more about the daily life of lions. Like how they are territorial and how the lioness are in charge of hunting etc.

As normal as it can be, the author, however, added some fantasy. You couldn't let two

male lions making love to each in their animal form, could you?

There are also comedic instances such as how the father would always bath his son even though he's... more>> all grown up. And how do lions bath? You got that right.

Licking each other.

Well, he just made that a reason to make a move towards our MC.

A villain uncle, a mad scientist, an orc tribe, territorial wars, the MC, gaining mental powers embarked on a journey together with his

father/lover.

I gave this novel a four because the part where the father fell in love with his adopted son was too blank. It seems to have appeared out of no where. The change of settings is also abrupt and has less details. Also, aside from the animal references, this novel is normal in a lot of aspects. However, I cannot deny that it has its own good points.

I abandoned this at chapter 10. The translation is unedited mtl copy/paste. Even MCs Name switches between 3 different versions. It made it really hard to read.

The world is not engaging. In those 10 chapters MC has already 3 location changes and is getting stranger.

I don't feel this story is worth the struggle with bad mtl.

First half was pretty good. As in the story made sense and it was possible to follow what was happening. There were a few jumps in scenes in this portion, but nothing too bad.

like the kid and Creel get transported to some unknown place all of a sudden while in the middle of a fight. The setting in the new location is a one of those orcs and sub-orcs type.

Second half.... Ooof.... That was rough. The were a lot of jumps in the scenes so it was really hard to read. There's also a LOT of missing information and gaps in the overall story. Its like the author rushed to complete the story or something. Was a pity because the first half had an ok base.

you go from some sort of arena scene, to someone they know appears and is hurt, so they treat him, then another arena team appears and starts attacking them off the arena, then they're in the arena fighting, then the MC and the ML get summoned to the lord's castle, then a holographic image appears in front of the ppl in the town scare and crazy beasts start attacking out of nowhere, then MC gets kidnapped, then the ML's people who were in prison since don't know when cuz it was never told escape and start fighting beats while the MC and ML are fighting with si-fi ppl from another planet... Like, WHAT IS GOING ON??? And all that happens in less than 10 chapters leading to the end where is the last chapter the author seemed to try and tie up all loose ends by making ML king and all the couple's official. Then in the last paragraph the ML is trying to make the MC queen... But like there's no logic to it cuz the ML is gonna need kids and there's no mention about whether or not the MC can get prego... Plus there's no mention/explanation about the MC's constitution as an experimental subject....

Overall the concepts on their own were interesting but put together, they were patchy and the transitions were not well done.

Ok... This turned into a rant... But ya there were a lot of loose ends throughout the story. <<less

At the beginning it was cute but the author tried to add many thing to story making it not interesting an din turn disgusting this sub beast orc thing how ugly it is to force someone into a role they dont want and make from a worthy individual a shiviring weakling from birth with no chance with education other than how to catch a husband and they are againt diffrent s*x marriage like isnt that the same as being homophobic and it got messier in the future I just want... more>> to read a cute lion story not to watch world war and debate about s*xual rights and human (creature) potential <<less

It started nicely. It could be said to be a slice-of-life at the very begging. Later it started including more plot-related information and story until it became a mess.

I gave it 4 stars but I am biased to the beginning and the cute and funny moments that later on started disappearing. To be honest, the plot itself is a whole mess, it has many things that were never mentioned or clarified, the translation is not good either (almost every character has like 3 different names because of the translation) and... more>> the end feels rushed. Also, most of the time I never knew if they were in animal form or in human form (maybe because of the translation or maybe I didn't get the clues if there was any).

It still a good-enough story to pass time, but I wouldn't say I'd recommend it if there's any other option in your reading list. <<less

It was a fun read. Not too long and not too short. I'm not sure if it's because of the MTL or just the novel but I feel thay the ending is quite abrupt. Still a good read nonetheless.

The beginning is quite good, very interesting premise. But continuing, the plot just get more messy and with that abrupt time skip and ending I'll give it a 4

Could have been a fun fluffy novel but it’s hard to tell when you’re reading pure MTL. The main character’s pronouns and literal name changes 5 times in one chapter.

World building is inconsistent at best. First, there are beasts and then there are human shape shifters that Inter breed with beasts. But that's okay because they all speak the same language and can communicate between species. And baby shifters are born with collective memory of human society (or it's just some weird Thing where a 3 year old cub can compare life among beasts with humans he's never seen before). And there's magic. But then they meet all - male beastkin looking for sub-beasts. And then I just stopped... more>> there bc MC is just way too young to be pursued by ML who is trying to figure out his feelings. <<less
