Bai Yuan is a magical little parrot that had just hatched out of his shell. With pristine peach-colored feathers, heaven-defying looks, and beautiful singing, he was the most popular pink glutinous rice ball in the Jiujiu community. One day, he was accidentally injured by a bear child, but fortunately, a pair of kind husbands rescued him and took him in. Since then, he has had two human dads. The little dad was a gentle and elegant doctor and the big dad was a handsome and rich boss. In return, he decided to be the real child of this family. At night, he was a three-year old human cub with soft baby fat on both cheeks and a small pink balloon tied around his waist. Waddling around, he knocked on his dads’ bedroom door.

This is so fluff. The baby parrot is so cute. And the interaction between the parents and the baby is very good.

What a super cute story!!! A little baby bird decided to be a human baby to these gay couple and this is his adventure in the human world with two dads who haven't a clue how to be parents but are doing an excellent job of it. Such a cute warm story. Baby birdy slowly grows up in the novel and there are a few timeskips here and there. Eventually baby birdy falls in love too at the end! No angst at all. Translations are also so good!! I'm waiting... more>> for the translation to reread as eventhough MTL is readable, it doesn't give the same happy vibes as the superb translation.

THIS IS SO CUTE AND ADORABLE 😭😭😭😭😭💕💕💕💕 Yuan Yuan is th cutest baby/magical parrot ever. I just wanna smooch this adorable little peach baby 😩💕🥹 This is definitely a feel good, heartwarming and family novel. It's a story about about a magical parrot who wanted to be a baby to the two gay couple who rescued him when he was an injured parrot. It's so wholesome as we look into the parent and child interaction but also just baby Yuan adventure (he is a bit naughty at time but you... more>> really can't be mad at him for too long) there is a time skip of when he is older. Anyway definitely would recommend to anyone who wants to have something lighthearted to read and be filled with fluff and goodness 🥹 <<less

This is a cute, lighthearted, and heartwarming slice of life story about raising and pampering a magical-parrot-turned-child, along with all the hilarity, shenanigans, and family moments that come with it.

This story feels pretty similar to Tadaima, Okaeri (it also has a CEO father and a gentle father, the child solving their father's family issues with cuteness and childlike logic, gayness being completely accepted by society etc.), but this story's lighter and the child is a transformed magical parrot.

Due to his magical identity, there are restrictions and conditions the MC must... more>> fulfill at first if he wants to stay with his fathers. But once that gets resolved, his magical parrot-ness only comes up occasionally.

It's obvious who the ML is from the beginning but the romance only begins within the last 20 or so chapters. The ML seems to have innate emotional regulation issues where he either feels no emotions or, very rarely, too much of it. Of course, the warm, innocent, peach-like MC gets to him within a few meetings. They grow up together, with the four years older ML acting like the MC's guardian. Their interactions as children are pretty wholesome as the ML's pampering increases over time.

I appreciate the story showing the fathers learning how to be better parents. For example:

There was a time when they threatened a severe spanking the next time the MC repeated his mistake, and it led to the child MC panicking later and apologizing repeatedly while crying because he thought becoming sick was him being a bad child. It helped the parents understand the consequences of their harsh approach.

But while the MC's parents try to be good and succeed mostly, they're so irresponsible sometimes that even the child ML disdains them for it and does a better job minding the MC. So while there are a lot of good moments, it's also a mixed bag of really good and really bad parenting.

Some other observations and issues I had are:

- They constantly repeat how cute everything the MC does is, which gets a bit much on some occasions where his behavior is actually pretty normal for a child and not as special as every adult around him seems to think. They also overstate how amusing his anger/sadness/distress/humiliation is, which I think they should've taken more seriously rather than just laughing at it.

- The MC's CEO father is absolutely ridiculous, and not in a good, fun way. In one scene:

He purposefully deceives the child MC and eats something the MC was really, really looking forward to having. When it makes the MC cry inconsolably, all the adults around him just laugh while thinking it's adorable and entertaining. I'm right there with the ML feeling disgust for their behavior.

More situations like that happen, and they always rub me the wrong way.

- Have the MC's nannies never met a child before? Why do they keep sleeping or being busy with other things instead of keeping an eye on him during daytime when that's their job? And since the MC keeps running away, why not just have him wear a tracker for safety instead of threatening a beating as if that's going to make a child that young understand?

- One of the MC's kindergarten classmates kept harassing the MC and asking him to marry him, then ignored the MC's repeated refusal and went around lying that the MC accepted his proposal. And instead of teaching him consent and to respect when people say 'no' at a young age so that his behavior won't continue into adulthood, all the adults just laugh and think it's cute.

- I wasn't a big fan of how they forced the MC to take extracurricular classes he wasn't interested in. Stuff like that is proven to cause a whole host of problems later on.

- It's a bit cringe that the MC is referred to as 'little baby/little one' even after he's an adult. Especially so when the older ML calls him that even though he wants to do intimate things with the MC. To quote something the ML once says to the adult MC: [You're not a big baby. You're still a little baby.] Yikes.

- The older the MC gets, the less interesting things get since there's no childish mischief or magical parrot related issues pushing the story along.

- The ML was interesting as a child, but he becomes just another possessive ML who's good at everything, cold to everyone but the MC, and has to struggle to hold himself back around the MC. Their romance is pretty sweet overall though and the ML doesn't cross any major lines.

- The MC's father (the one that likes bullying his son) threw an absolute tantrum in anger and wanted to be violent instead of accepting that his adult son is dating. What an absolute manchild.

- The ending was happy enough, but also--

The MC still has to live the rest of his life hiding his identity from everyone except his parents, ML, and others like him. He must also maintain the secret of his other friends who also transformed from animals and not let even his parents or the ML know. I wish these issues were resolved so he could have had a more complete HEA.

I appreciate the second translator's hard work and am grateful they picked up the novel. But sometimes their excessive italicizing of words makes the sentences seem more sarcastic than intended.

In short, definitely read if you like seeing a child being pampered to high heavens and his parents trying to deal with his cute or hilarious antics, even if those parents' actions are less than likable sometimes. <<less

Super cute super super adorable and heartwarming!!! The MC is so precious! And so so loved :') This put a massive smile on my face every time I was reading it!

4* only because I wasn't really interested in the romance at the end. I really loved reading about little MC and his dads so the last 20ish chapters weren't as fun for me. To me, the shift in tone as MC grew up and started dating didn't hold the same warmth as the rest of the story - I finished... more>> reading just because I'd gotten so far and wanted to see the end but tbh it dragged down my positive feelings about the story. <<less

Super Cute... Super Precious and Absolutely Heartwarming Sweet Family Novel!

This is almost a Feel Good, Light, Fluffy and Comforting kind of Novel. It's a Toddler MC who was a Magical Bird, and want to be his Rescuers' child.

His Adopted Parents played big role in this novel too. I almost thought the BL tag would just be about his parents' relationship. But I get spoilers that our MC would also fall in love anyway.

Anyway so far we can't fully who would he fell toward. Though the obvious suspect is obvious, but... more>> the Author could make anything out of thin air anyway and it would still make sense.

Anyway again, I love how his parents end up knowing his secret and it also shows how his parents is truly love MC as their Precious Baby and create all the Shenanigans to Protect their baby's secret and life. ❤️

It's Absolutely Precious Novel and I need more of it!!! 😭😭😭 I Love it way tooooo much to letting go!!!

EVEN FOR SLOW/LATE ROMANCE, THE ROMANCE ITSELF IS FAR FROM LACKING! IT'S FIRM AND GREAT!!!

A super duper cute novel, the MC is a cute and silly parrot turned human. This novel is mainly based on family and full of sweetness along with the ML who has doted on him since the beginning. Angst free and light hearted.

4.5. I love a good family novel, and while I know that the MC is the little kid, I absolutely loveeeeee the dad's relationship. It's so cute, and so heart-warming. Its slice of life, the kind of life thats so good to read. MC is silly and his way of interaction with others makes me clench my toes.

It's a real good found-family, sweet romance, and an even sweeter family. Although, the ending is a bit weak since we transitioned abruptly to our MC and ML's relationship. Perhaps its because MC... more>> was already grown and still acted like that that it didn't hit that good for me. Lol. By the time we focused on their relationship p, I was more skimming than reading. Oof. <<less

Very heartwarming family story. I don't often see close and warm depictions of parent-child relationship in Chinese novels, like physical touch, praise and encouragement, or just saying 'I love you". It was a pleasant surprise.

Love the way families with adopted children is written here. Adopted children are accepted, loved, and actually treated as one of their own in this novel.

Based on a lot of past novels I've read, it feels like they treat adopted kids and step-kids the same, where the bio and unbiological children will always be unequal (except... more>> those switched at birth tropes. Then, the switched kid is preferred bc the parents must be shitty and the switched kid must be cunning and deceitful). Bio kids will always be loved more, and even if there is someone in a novel who has adopted a kid, they do not truly see the adopted child as a part of their family and will easily drop them if they give birth to a bio one. Though this isn't the only novel with positive step-parent/adopted parent examples, it's rare, so this makes me happy.

The story is mostly centered on the MC, Yuanyuan, and his family but the other supporting characters feel fleshed out, all have their own lives and going ons.

Most of the story takes place while Yuanyuan is still a toddler about 3-4 years old, only starting to age him up to elementary school and then middle school near a 100 chapters in. Romance between MC and ML doesn't start until ch120. I think while the years of friendship has given them a solid base for the romance later, I would have liked to see more chapters as them grown up to really develop the relationship.

That's it. All in all, a good read. <<less

AAAAAAA!!!! THIS IS THE BEST CHILD REARING NOVEL I'VE EVER READ!!!!! NO ANGST, NO DRAMA, JUST CUTE ADORABLE LITTLE BABY AND WHOLESOME FAMILY.

I thought it will be boring halfway like some novel with the same genre i've read. But, there is no boring chapter in this novel. I told you, every moments are precious. This novel is funny, cute, and wholesome.

Our MC, baby yuanyuan is ADORABLE! Everything he did is really what a baby would do. I think the author really know how a child will act and... more>> all their reasoning. Eventhough he's like a heavenly spirit, our MC didn't op at all (or actually he's really op but didn't really use his op-ness). He is like your usual 3 y.o child. Like to eat and play and dislike school. Except, he's the cutest baby😭😭😭😭

Our ML is pretty obvious from the start.

I like how he's different from MC and their relationship didn't really smooth from the start. Especially with his condition that didn't really understand human emotion. But he is willing to learn. He really accomodate our MC and unknowingly, MC became the sun in his life. Their real romance started at the last 20 chapter of the novel but it feels right because we've seen their dynamic since childhood and they being lovers are really the best outcome. And I like the fact that he's the most mature one in his and MC's family🤣 he even thought that his future father in law "unreliable"

MC parents are adorable too. I like that they didn't really became perfect parents from the start. Considering that theh had never raising child and haven't thought about raising one, MC coming to their life made them learning along the way. There are trial and error here and there. Especially when the child they're raising is a super (?) child, but they really did a good job. And they love our MC so much.

TLDR, I can read 1000 chapter of this novel and I wish someone got me neutralyzer so I can read this novel all over again. That's how much I love this. <<less

An interesting novel, very enjoyable to read. The plot is light, there is no significant conflict. The story is dominated by the life of Yuanyuan, a small parrot, and his human parents. And the second half of the novel tells the story of Yuanyuan and his little friend. Highly recommended if you are tired of reading stories that have a heavy plot.

Thanks to the translator for his hard work.
