MC is a blind beggar. He gets beaten, chased, etc. And he doesn't really have a home. Sometimes he hides inside a god's statue to steal food but most of the times, he sleeps below a cicada tree.
Occassionally, he will dream about an immortal realm. He sees a kid there that he assumes might be him and there's also another guy there who the kid keeps pestering.
1 day, MC gets drunk and he felt his soul travel. A man (ML) was asking him where he was and MC told him.
Afterwards, ML finds MC and takes him in. ML says that they used to know each other, MC used to hate him, it him 3k+ years to find MC because someone put a curse on MC's soul, etc.
That's just the beginning of the story. I think what will happen next is the slow reveal of who MC really is and them trying to bring back MC's cultivation.
- I like how resilient MC is. Despite being blind and hated for being a beggar, he has a lively personality that doesn't dwell on the bad things
Dislikes:- Sometimes MC is smart, sometimes he seems dumb. For example, there's a part where MC thinks he is the boy (Liche) in his dreams and the other man is ML. Then later, MC will be clueless and wonder who the boy in his dreams is (even though it was previously stated that he thinks he is Liche).
- I think the comedy part should be because of MC's lively/childish personality. But initially, the story feels angsty instead of comedy for me.
- ML is the typical "cold-only warm to MC" kind of ML. He doesn't really stand out much for me.
