One day, Chiyoung, who was living as a kitchen worker in the Iak unit, met someone who would change her life forever.

“peekaboo. Who are you.”

The other person noticed Chiyoung. Chiyoung took her breath away at the clear and simple voice, as if there was nothing to be afraid of in the world.
Would Taesan be like that? She felt as if she had met a giant.

What Baekhan discovered was Chiyoung’s gender displayed next to Chiyoung’s name written in the upper right corner of the matching rate checklist.

M. Male.

The moment he discovered those letters, Baekhan ran out of the place and started throwing up.
With a face covered in filth. As if this was the first time such an insult had been experienced.

That day, Chiyoung was thrown into hell again.

This is actually a good one. I didn't skip any chapters even though I got bored halfway. It was pretty entertaining to read because the characters gave me something that intrigued me not to stop and skip things. The main character is a three-dimensional character, while the main lead is a two-dimensional character.

My thoughts about the ML: first, the reason why the ML hates male guides was because ... more>>
Spoiler

when he got kidnapped when he was a child, the kidnapper—who was after his sister was a MALE GUIDE. He didn't hate men. There's only a specific man he hates, and that's the male guide. So he isn't homophobic. He can sleep with a male esper, an ordinary citizen male, but he couldn't with a male guide.

What I don't get or understand in the story is that they didn't give more details about what happened—how deep his trauma is. It's just that when he was kidnapped, the kidnapper guided him because he was afraid of repercussions and forcibly guided him. Was he touched in an inappropriate way? Because he wouldn't throw up, have a panic attack, or worse, faint just from a male guide touching or guiding him if it weren't something serious. The trauma was so deep. Regardless of that, they don't give much detail and kind of brushed it off in the story, overshadowed by him being prideful and selfish—because he didn't want someone to find out that it's his weakness—and a defensive way of acting every time he has occasional advantages over the MC. He don't want to talk about that memory in detail, because it said it makes him vomit every time. It's kind of a shame, I was expecting his backstory because it gives more substance in his character.

I also hate the fact that the ML doesn't apologize for his mistakes asap even though he got a redemption arc in the main story. He has self-awareness that he has a shitty personality. The thing is, he just said, "Didn't I say I like you?" He really didn't confess. He thinks he did. "I did this because I like you." Like bruh. Why not apologise first before confessing? He should be apologizing first. He realizes that's a dumb move if he didn't see the MC giving up on living his life. Kinda glad tho because there is development that happen I was just rushing to see maybe there wasn't.

Although the ML wasn't violent toward people he cared about, what he often did to the MC was ignored him. This happened before, plus verbal ab*se
Spoiler

MC got depression from it.

About the MC's character, if you read it, you'll see through his character. He is character who is kind and doesn't have a choice in the situation. He has good intuition. He's the victim of the antagonist and the ML's trauma dump. Also thought on the villain, the villain is a cardboard character. I'm actually hoping that there's something more on his character so kinda disappointed that there's nothing more to see on his backstory. Back to the main character, their story is so complicated and complex and kind of realistic in a way. It's clear that both of them like each other, but they have baggage. They have a lots of downs than ups that eventually only have resolved and have a good relationship in the additional extra story iin the novel.

The ML becomes submissive at the end of the story repenting. (Still has the arrogant personality. That's the development he have). My favorite is when the MC wipes his cheeks when ML is kissing him and when the ML keeps saying that the members are their kids if he's annoying him lmao. He's the wife, and the husband is the MC. In addition, MC knows he can trust the ML (he also likes to mention "my Esper") to save him if he ever ends up failing his mission. <<less
