Recently, a special correspondent conducted an exclusive interview with Pei Qian, President of Tengda Group.

Tengda Group, now valued at hundreds of billions, operates across various sectors such as gaming, internet services, digital hardware, cultural media, and restaurants, significantly impacting numerous aspects of daily life.

Pei Qian himself is widely regarded as the “World’s Best Boss,” an unparalleled investment genius, and a brilliant game developer. He is known for his effortless leadership style and keen ability to precisely forecast industry trends.

However, during the interview, Pei Qian expressed deep frustration:

“I’m truly not some kind of business genius!”

“My success is entirely due to luck!”

“My initial goal was merely to lose fifty thousand yuan…”

See? This is exactly how a genuine business genius maintains humility and modesty.

This novel is recommended for brief skimming for the silly face slaps and that’s about it.

Unfortunately not only is the throne empty, but the author’s head a lot of the time.

Weaknesses:

Novel has a crummy ending, MC is really weak, MC seems so dumb that he can’t ever lose money, Mc’s people are all s*upid yes people who treat MC like a god, all the Chinese academia and people who do stuff that is quite horrible, the nonsense idiot foreigners who MC easily beats, the huge amount of pointless evil greedy... more>> companies, the weak arcs, impossible and improbably ways MC gets plot armor, and the lack of any story behind Mc’s system or his life. Ultimately the story ends with no conclusion and MC just leaving to do whatever. He lectures the audience about not being a rich jerk and then bails. Laughable tr*sh, especially with the author copying tons of real games and just renaming them for their own purposes. Sigh, just weak overall. You never once feel like “haha this happened.” It’s more like: “What?!? How is everyone in China and more precisely the foreigners so s*upid that everything works out for Mc!” The vast majority of the novel is built on one impossible premise yet author tends to forget MC is trying to lose money. Should have changed the name of it or way but meh.

Strengths:

A few good bits of comedy with Meng Chang, some silly misunderstandings, people being scared of MC who is just dumb, and the nonsense Chinese population easily fooled by MC and who have the crummiest existence without MC whose magical endless wealth system helps MC make the ultimate good company! Some cool game designs, interesting moba concepts, some cool company interactions, and interview lady.

Unfortunately, the author adds so much “unfiltered text” or what may be considered tr*sh words. Basically author is just filling word count for monetary reasons. This novel should have been way shorter text wise. Also the sheer amount of time explaining stuff the reader does not care about is annoying. The game stuff is okay but tends to be littered with nonsense concepts. Still: if you skim parts the hype for how the Chinese public reacts and the companies is quite interesting and makes up the real meat of the story.

Skim the novel if you want, rating -200bil/10.

And don’t you dare become someone who wastes money! <<less

This was not a fun novel at all. I kept reading it because I thought that the next game the MC made might be better than the last but they´re not. And the MC choosing a professional secretary off of her looks is enough to make me drop it. I thought he was supposed to be trying to fail but then he goes and hires the most experienced secretary they have available? Just no. It makes no sense any more and it´s really boring.

Not to criticize other people's tastes, but...

This novel is mediocre. It's a copy pasta of all other in the same genre, the only thing that changed is that MC tries to lose money there to get rich.

  • no funny jokes, forced comedy
  • the novel isn't really for gamers, because the streams, videos or comments look like they were done by bots
  • no character development or growth
  • everything is bland and superficial
  • skips parts that could make the novel better (e.g. the process of making a game takes MC 10 sentences, there's no process actually it's just MC plagiarising some templates and game done no hardship no thinking nothing)
  • No business or employment strategy, the way MC does it is like a elementary schooler playing business simulator
  • This novel is supposed to be a slice of life but fails at it as interactions are few and far between, bland and cliche
In summary, poop.

At times like this, I wish I was a person who can eloquently express their thoughts. Sadly, I'm not, so the only thing I can say is thank you to the author. Thank you for writing something that made me laugh every few chapters, and adding colour to my life. The last 10 chapters of this novel was perfect in showing the growth of Pei Qian and ending this long journey in the best way possible.

This novel definitely isn't everyone's cup of tea and by no means is it perfect,... more>> but I still encourage for readers to give it a try if they want to have a nice laugh and learn a few lessons. <<less

I rated it 5 star because, I like how the author wrote the ending of the MC.

This novel was fun to read, especially when the MC plan got failed every time. And because of that mind set, MC was aware and open minded. As the MC said, This loses plan was his past defence. And his reason for it was truly nice and make him human. And his thankful of the system.

First note: the nationalism is really brain dead and patronizing in this one. Like it's really weird nationalism too that kind of insults and simplifies Chinese people as well in its justification; I'd bet a couple fast passes there's hate comments on qidian proper over it. Oh also the author has some weird views about women that don't come up too often but you've been warned.

Moving on: This novel is extremely mediocre. It's my go-to for reading on the airplane and occasionally it makes me laugh but ehhhh. It's a... more>> lot of repetition and I'd probably have dropped it if I didn't go like months between reads.

Why read it?: It's a bit fun to guess what the author is parodying with Boss Pei's ideas (e.g. Ender's game, desert bus, etc. It was funny when I was reading the synopsis of a movie and realized it was the source material for something). It's also kinda fun once the tallying comes in but that only happens once every hundred chapters ish. Also when Pei's identity is threatened to be revealed but I kinda think that won't happen for a while. I think the first 200 chapters are fun and then it kind of peters off honestly. <<less

Completed the novel, and re read it a second time. As a novel, its pretty entertaining and there are values they preach about in the novel, some are agreeable and some not so much, but thats opinions. Its generally funny too 🤷‍♂️

My favourite part really is the ending, it ends in a good spot and there aren’t major loopholes that is glaring when read through (there are atleast explanations and they don’t use s*upid idiots as enemy lmao). There is pretty good character development here, from some random dude that... more>> wants money to finally become a conscientious businessman 😂 here is a quote from one of the latest chapters

”The most assets I have would only be s*aves to capital. I want to be the master of capital!”

“Wealth does not depend on how much you have, but how to use it!”

“A tycoon should not be the person with the most wealth. Instead, he should be the person who knows how to make the best use of his wealth.”

“I’m just an ordinary person. It’s impossible for me to resist such temptation forever. However, luckily, I can make this decision when my mind is the most clear. I’ll never have the chance to regret in the future.”

P.s.

ngl, I don’t agree with what people says about not remembering names. They have been pretty consistent, with certain characters development that to the end we know what departments they are from and their names, unlike other novels that has a new character every 5 chapters or so lmao. Its unrealistic to have more depth than whats in the novel (we know their name, where they work, sometimes where they originate) into other characters in type of novel 🤷‍♂️ its possible, but not really necessary except for even more filler. <<less

This is an unapologetic meme novel. There's enjoyment in that, and all the failures and misunderstandings can be really entertaining. But at one point I was like alright this has been going on for a while, it's starting to get old. Checked and I was only on chapter 100. Out of 1700 chapters. Boggles my mind how people are making it through all almost 2000 chapters of this. Eventually couldn't take it at around 200 chapters. It's funny, don't get me wrong, but it's just one joke and jokes get... more>> old, not to mention after like 10 times of rinse and repeat.

The MC is so desperate to lose money and keeps making a fool of himself or making objectively atrocious or ridiculous decisions while the employees are just like what the fk is going on. But he's not even able to come up with any semblance of an explanation. Plus the advertising scripts that he sends out, my god, that's 2nd hand embarrassment right there. Crazy. <<less

It's okay to read it as long as you switch off your brain and refuse to think.

Mc's level of intelligence is somewhat worrying, though its mainly forced by the author. In important moments or when it's time to make a decision, protagonist can experience something akin to a brain lag or make a decision that's uncharacteristic to him.

Plot repeats itself a lot all the time and misunderstandings are gradually becoming predictable and boring.

... more>> It's not a bad comedy though. There are some fun and hilarious moments.

Simply put MC here is dumb and extremely lucky. He is trying to loose money but fails. Still refuses to get rid of the system even though he can make much more money without it.

The overall writing quality and translation are fine. Just be sure not to expect too much as its current rating is definitely undeserved. <<less

Right, so it started out good then the author remembered the wonderful concept of nationalism and decided that his book definitely need heaps of it.

Go into this expecting casual fun and you'll be fine.

Go into this expecting semi-realism, an intelligent main character, or a fresh and new plot point and you'll be disappointed.

It's well written, but predictable. Sure they take a different approach, but it's how to secretly succeed. Which sounds like a great plot idea, but it's the same formula over and over again. Make plan to lose money, follow plan and then have some lucky coincidence that stops him from losing money. Reminds me of shounen manga, but with bad characters. All the side characters are there pretty much so it's not one long monologue which it feels like it is anyways. It was getting so lackluster, it was hard... more>> to suffer through some chapters. It has a good beginning, but after after you get to a certain point, it's hard to read more then a chapter or two at time.

It's a 2.5 for me based on the writing quality, but you have to really really like faceslapping over and over again to suffer through some groups of chapters. I only started reading cause I heard the MC is smart, but it just seems like he's an idiot. <<less

One of the hidden gems.

Try it, if you are tired of reading about another young guy with unlimited potential.

First thing, the book use on the premise of MC got a system that top of his funds. He can only use his funds for business purpose, no personal use. But he can convert more money to his personal wealth by causing losses.

The whole novel is build around premise of the MC trying to lose money but he can't (mostly) due to his insane luck. Whatever he tries, it becomes profitable in... more>> the end. If someone want to give one star based on this premise, please don't.

Why you should read it? A novel can change based on authors talent. And the author of the book is seriously talented.

The projects don't become profitable from nowhere, the author explores it properly and gives proper explanations. The MC is not s*upid, he understands and adapts throughout, making plans. It works too. In these types of stories, authors write people as s*upid but the author doesn't do so.

Everyone is real, and the world function normally. The employees and other side characters are very well done. They have their own thoughts, their own personalities. The commentery by the main character when he ends up making profits is just hilarious. The MC also enters many industries trying to cause a loss

It's not a MC conquering the world, making Harem type of world. That's what make it good.

No racism. Translation quality is flawless. Lots of translated chapters, long chapters. <<less

The novel is good and the translation is good as well. The translation does the novel justice and completely portrays the essence of the novel.

"Before:

If it was my usual self and any other novel, I would have searched for the Raw and MTL it to continue the story. Because the translation wouldn't have been hindered in understanding the plot. Whereas I feel that this particular novel should not be read using a MTL or else it would ruin it for me."

Sadly I was unable to live up to my words... more>> and started reading the raws, and have just completed the novel.

The novel is a good one and deserves more chapters than it has, even doubling it would not seem problematic or long-winded, for there were many routes and plots that could be entertaining, that were introduced but was not used and left to be a part of the background. I expected the novel to have a minimum of 4000 chapters but sadly the author decided that 1600+ chapters was more than enough for the novel. A great read for the 2 chapters per day update speed that satisfies all you need in a novel for the day in those 2 chapters, unlike others where only binging would satisfy your novel hunger or else you would be left with addictive cravings for more chapters but there are none.

It seems like I am suggesting that this novel is kinda boring and not addictive enough, that is completely wrong. This is the only novel that I could enjoy at my own pace and I am glad to have found this novel. I am also saddened that it has to come to an end so early. Hope the authors new book is something similar to this novel. <<less

Treat this novel as your side dish at the most.

I tried to read it until the most recent update of the english TL. But, I don't know how to describe it. The only thing that you will got in this novel is a good laugh when you see the MC failed and failed again to spent his money. Other than that? Nothing. No character development (At least for now), no romance, no in-depth business strategy, no slice of life, every character have no soul.

When you read for example cultivation novel,... more>> you will got. Action, adventure, a bit of romance, harem. And so on. But, the only thing that you will got in this novel is comedy.

I am not recommend it for those who have so much brain cell that will got irritated because MC's line of thought. However, if you bored of looking at cultivation novel with thousand chapter left to read of any kind of similar novel. Then this will be your pit stop. It will recharge a good amount of laugh so you can continue your long journey to finish those novel. <<less

From what I read so far. The MC is a ret*rded greedy bastard, he was impact a lowly salary man before he go back in time and became a idiot ret*rded being that even a fool would know how to lose money.

His 1st failure is the hook that made me read this sh*t and the way he just shrug and throw the thought of making his business grow and let it be so that one day the company would lose profit but no he stick with the dumbest idea and... more>> continued his greed to lose profit that turn high profit.

He was a reasonable man but his decision and idea is ret*rded. Did he not know that if you make so much high end games it backfire and loss too much profit causing the game to be another cash sucking games for pay to win players.

If the story is not just seeing his failure to burn money and somehow get the profit loss then this novel is unique. You need to balance the uniqueness of a story if the story is just that then its boring like hell I'll read a 1000 chapster that MC always fail because of plot. We need to see that he can somehow loss profit and change his life to spend some of his hard working money then back to square one of gaining profits through sheer luck. <<less
