Mainly read because of it's by Kabiqiu the author of Social Outcast + it's short + the synopsis sounds so interesting! I mean, a human x robot protagonist? I'M IN!!!!

After finishing it, never expected that the plot is really interesting! I binge reading this novel in just a few hours lol

ML (He Zhi) is a boss in Qianzhan Technology. He is a son of Logan Group's chairman, the company where Ji Mao was made. He was once a "client" of Jimmy (Ji Mao) in the past (but only for testing the game, not for "that" purpose).

MC falls in love with ML since their first meeting. Time passed by, he wants to find his crush.

I have read Ka Bi Qius other works too, and this one is the best so far (other works were amazing too, but this one is quite special). I loved everything about this story. The plot is very good; the universe that the author created is unique and interesting; and the characters are so real. I especially liked MC, who isn't human but has more humanity than most people. Finished this novel in one day! It is quite nice, there's actions and a bit of angst. Good to read when you want to pass the time.

The cp dynamic is so unique and interesting, I mean, a human and an AI? Not much story like this.

A very interesting story.

It's not super fluffy or sappy. There aren't a lot of romantic reassurances or love confessions. But it's a very sweet romance anyway.

I like the sci-fi setting and the larger plot/story as well as questions about the meaning of humanity.

Sorry, but... the translation is pretty bad. The majority of it fails to make any sense. I have no idea if this novel can be MTL'd, but I would recommend trying that instead. I thought about reading this in CN almost every chapter. <<less

I love it!!! Its such a very rare trope where we got a human and an AI couple. It's short so I cant say much about the plot but it was decent and interesting

I didn't expect much when I start this but turns out this is such an enjoyable novel to read!

Actually I think the tragic oneshot version (that seems to be a prequel but not really?) is better. The plot and structure in this one is a bit messy. Especially with the side character/side couple, who drop in and out of the story but aren't really developed. The interactions between the human gong and robot shou are great though. I usually enjoy the CP dynamics in Ka Biqiu's work since they always stand out, and often the shou is the dominant one in the relationship. A lot of POV switch, so I wouldn't say there's a MC and ML - we get inside both their heads quite a lot.

I do think the story would have worked better if it had either been shorter and just stuck to the story of the CP, or if it had been longer and explored the class dynamics and what it means to be human vs AI in greater depth. Still a decent read and the author's writing style is as always quite good. <<less
