I suppose it's decent first attempt at a s*ave harem but... it isn't that well thought out. I mean, brainwashing to begin with is kind of a lazy way of writing in character relationships since if you can brainwash people then they're just s*x bots, and after saying that Yunis is immune to brainwashing magic and then having her fall in love with Aur, a mass mu*derer who just r*ped her, doesn't really make much sense. Also, why do all the girls want to have s*x with the MC as... more>> soon as they meet him? Even a 5-year old who shouldn't have any s*xual desires yet. Well ok you can say they all got brainwashed by the succubus, but then why would the succubus do that when she wants the meal for herself? And the story doesn't even say that either, they just want his d*ck for no reason. Also, every problem is solved in the same chapter that it's introduced and also coincidentally new girls get added to his harem at the same time, which is a bit... well there's a limit to which disbelief can be suspended and I think it went too far past that.

The story is basically just p*rn with magic when you get down to it. Allow me to quote a passage from Stephen Bonds:

I know that this is actually one of the top notch novels out there that have very descriptive and in-depth battle scenes, interesting and witty dialog, titillating erot*c scenes, over the top and shocking moments of extreme violence, there is also the very dirty and underhanded methods of guerrilla warfare.

To anyone worried about the bad translation quality read the version on the light novels translations site instead. So far the story is pretty interesting and the dungeon creation is very detailed which is nice to see in a dungeon novel.

The MC shows real humanity. I mean that as a compliment as so few LNs are able to actually portray it well. One of the best JP LNs I have read. It doesn't look like it will become a pure fighting LN, thank god.

New translator has quality editors that make reading this novel fun and easy.

The story is interesting in that it feels like an erot*c version of age of empire so far. From attacking small villages to advancing into towns who knows if the MC will become a demon king who will rule over all the whole world.

I highly suggest if you want to start reading this LN then you should start reading the manga first. Cause most people who complain about this novel is most likely have little to no imaginative capabilities. Sure ecchi scenes in here are not that very pe*verted, cause its vanilla s*x and harem. It is a kind of novel that s*x and story/plot blends well with one another and the way it handles s*x is very mature like in a sense. Excellent story. The MAC uses his wits rather than his brawn to build his own dungeon from scratch and over come every problem he encounters from tricking a hero into submitting to him from the heart to designing his unconquerable dungeon. There is certainly plenty of echi seances but none if it is just for s*x it almost all has some purpose or adds to character development.

Like a cliche smut "novel", this story seems like something that was made by throwing a bunch of tropes into a washing machine and hoping for the best. Characters are one dimensional, the plot is predictable and the author reuses ideas over and over again.I can't give it 0 stars as it is not allowed so one stars is the most I can give a story that is neither creative nor enjoyable.

Whilst the story starts a bit slow and it portrays the protagonist as a royal ***hole, the story itself revolves on the dungeon progression and the backstory with some spicy scene. The story also explores the depth of human personalities at latter chapters, which deserves a second glance and contemplation. Apart from that, it is quite curious to see how author can still depict the protagonist as a major villain while showing him as a tragic hero role.

I was hoping for a decent story with some racy smut. This is more p*rn pretending to be a proper story. First few chapters are good. Nothing amazing but there was a sense of progression and I was interested in what appeared to be a potential development between the MC and the succubus. At first I really liked this story. An "evil" sorcerer finally finds a way to become one of those who takes instead of remaining one of the ones who gets taken from. At first it was mostly understandable though some decisions seemed a bit "off."

However, once the NTR started the story went off the rails for me. For someone so focused on becoming more powerful, spending so much time breaking bonds, ruining trust, and brainwashing seemed... well, s*upid. Not just s*upid but downright unnecessary. More like doing it because he... more>> could instead of because he should.

The guy knows he has weaknesses, spells, but would rather spend days destroying some girls minds?

The story also seemed to have some strange "skips." Stuff that I was genuinely interested in getting explored which the author starts, like what happens after taking the first town, then just get skipped over.

The progression is also way to fast. By the end of volume 1 the MC is almost a god. There is so much more the author could have done with the MC's journey.

Its not a bad story and LNT does a good job with translations plus a big thank you for including some of the illustrations. The adult stuff is mostly well written too.

Still, the odd protag decisions and strange story skips left me disappointed at the end. <<less

My favorite japanese novel.

Simply because this is the only japanese smut novel I know where the protagonist/MC is not a idiot, ret*rd, naive, beta, low self esteem, can't man up, sissy, etc like all the the typical your everyday japanese MC.

Pretty good story, translation is kind of iffy. Although it's just your basic s*ave-Harem Fantasy in a world with magic, levels and skills when it comes down to it, this story takes away the reincarnation/summoning and gives us a protagonist who already is a strong mage

This combined with the dungeon keeper aspects and evil conquerer maou perspective gives us a relatively fresh change of pace.

I'd rate it 4/5 however due to numerable translation errors I'd give it a 3/5

All I have to say is this story is not for the typical romance action adventure readers

If u survived through the first half of the chapters I assure u this story becomes enjoyable to read

If you are reading this for s*x I highly suggest you read actual erotica or something much better written to get off cause I gotta say the s*x in this story was very boring and barely arousing. Basically if you think the s*x scenes in this are good you have horrible f*cking taste, literally almost every erotica I've read has had better and hotter scenes then this waste of time.

This novel has a good story despite it being an adult novel which commonly emphasis s*x and other R18+ basically seen in a lot of adult novels.

I had a good time reading it and has been a twist in the battle of what's right and what is wrong and the struggle of what is morality.

Just a bit of problem in betrayal though which the MC is having experienced a lot even though he believes in the saying of "trust no one but yourself" and yet he still gets betrayed one... more>> time and another which is ironic and a bit telling.

Honestly had a hard time deciding between two and three stars. It's not like it was terrible, but after finishing the first volume I don't really have any desire to read more. Everything feels rushed and there are way too many characters to actually care about any of them. You've read the clichés? this author uses them perfectly

The world building could use a bit of work because it feels clunky from time to time, but even then it doesn't detract from the story, the progression is quite good, the characters are well fleshed out.

This is one of those perverse novels that I would put next to Marquis de Sade, the author explores quite a lot of themes and set ups, whilst maintaining a goal and progression of the plot that doesn't stagnate or feels too dragged out.

Yes in the end everything is tied up in a nice little bow and feels kind of underwhelming because the author got cold feet and had to "reverse" some of the more... dark themes the novel touched.

But that's just in retrospect, because those things DID happen and they DID hurt.

I just don't get why the author did a 180 from the setting at the end.

Anyway, if you're interested in reading smut that actually haves a cohesive storytelling structure, with interesting characters, plot progression and a real story to tell, this one is for you.

Just be aware that this is an Anti hero story. <<less
