What, a romance that I, Penguin Overlord “dating is a pain” Admira, like? It can’t be true!

What I like off the bat (4 chapters in) :

(1) Not reincarnation/isekai! Hooray!

... more>> (2) The humor from the dissonance (the difference in others expectations and the characters’ actual feelings–I think that it’s funny, at least)

(3) A female main character (it’s just such a rarity for me these days) who has a run-away imagination

(4) The slightly (socially) dense male lead

(5) A mutual romance developing without an extremely overbearing male sexually harassing his partner constantly

Hillarious and cute. The princess is so pure, cute and 100% in love at first sight with the general while the General is gentle and kind but awkward. All in all, this is a very enjoyable novel for those who even remotely likes romance comedy genre.

Just ONE warning: Better have oxygen tank and insulin ready if you want to keep your sanity from overload of laughter and cuteness.

I really enjoyed this, it starts off with a really cute and unique female lead who is hilarious and exceptionally unpredictable. Then it unexpectedly gets steamy between her and the male lead I truly wasn't ready each time. I really and truly anticipate the the next chapters its really good. I recommend it among shoujo or romantic reading fans definitely worth the read and wait. I'm really surprised by the lack of reviews, perhaps because of the amount of chapters.

This story is basically pure sugar, a very sweet (but slight smutty) story with the tried and true princess x knight/delicate x rugged sort of archetype. Light hearted, shallow and cute, the original misunderstandings are quite hilarious. Be warned, there's no face slapping and no real plot besides "x days till they get married". Both MC and ML are bespotted on sight as well, so no "will they, won't they" dancing around.

that said, to truly enjoy this story you're going to need to throw your brain cells aside maybe. This... more>> entire story hinges on "too innocent/airheaded, pure and cute virg*nal" girls (for both the main and secondary pairings) with "masculine, good hearted but 'beast-like' knights who have to hold back" who proceed to ah... 'teach' the girls. When it hits the spot it's absolutely delicious but if you're binge reading it might get a little annoying. Marietta is one of those fiction 500 princesses (beautiful, pure, innocent as a baby) whose entire characterization could honestly be summed up as bluntly being "virg*nal.

if you're looking for a very plot heavy kind of story, this isn't it. If you just wanna scratch that shoujo itch with some good old cliche innocent x rugged kind of story, you're in luck. <<less

For whom is this story? I don't know. The romance and characters are too shallow and the "smut" part is too boring and uncreative.

I do understand the 4 star ratings though. If you seldom read romance stories, then this really could be rated this high. I mean, the author did nothing wrong and the premise sounds interesting. Unfortunately the autor never "dives" to level 2, 3, 4 and 5. It will always be on the shallow level 1 for depth.

The "story" is somehow adorable and funny, but it will never... more>> break out of its own threshold. It is like a first draft, before the autor adds the really exciting parts.

Also, the content is maybe enough for 7 chapters, but 33 chapters? NOOOO!!! <<less

I NEED more of this in my life! The misunderstandings... they're glorious. Slightly oblivious burly male lead + misleadingly fragile pervy minded muscle fetish Princess = 5/5. They're also already married. +100 points. It's a tragedy that they haven't updated in so long though. <: (

HAHAHAHA, oh god, I just read someone call the MC a pe*verted old man....

THIS IS A SMUT STORY WHAT WHERE YOU EXPECTING!?!?!?!?!?!?

Yeah the Female Lead is kind of dense and she lets him do whatever he wants with her before marriage, but SHE LIKES IT FOR CRYING OUT LOUD.

... more>> Even when it's explained to her that rubbing her ti*s isn't gonna make them grow she is exited because that means he likes her ti*s enough to be rubbing them every day...

It's like the dumb cliché where the female lead "forgets" her bag in the car, and just as she's getting out of the car the male lead "notices" the bag but just smiles and goes home, who do they think they are kidding???

The story is frikken great, I quite enjoyed it, the misunderstandings are for comedic effect not to create tension or conflict because both ML and FL are head over heels for each other from the very start.

I mean, one of the frikken plot devices haves the ML making his HORSE smell the handkerchief of the FL to find her...

That's... hilarious.

I know I'm spoiling things but c'mon, people are also spoiling things disparaging this wonderful work of fluffy love and steamy hot FUNNY smut.

It's smut

It's comedy

Don't expect anyone saving the world or an intricate complex set piece of mystery and dread.

Just focus on what's important, the world building which is awesome, the set up and pay off which is very well done, the characterizations which are hilarious and fun to read... and the smut which is appropriately sexy.

EDIT: SHE'S NOT 10 people... she's 18, and that's the whole point... <<less

The story is really cute. I'm so excited anticipating the moment when they'll start to know each other. It's a cute story but not too light/fluffy/air headed. I'm just so hungry for the next chapter

My maidenly heart can't withstand the Gap Moe. It gives a really innocent and fluffy vibe until you realize the reason for the 18+ tag. The distance between the fluffiness and the smutty scenes is wreaking havoc on my fujoshi blood pressure. I can't even. Chapter 11 is where the fluffy is basically parallel to the smutty.

Too early to rate it, but right now I'm absolutely feeling a 5/5. The MC is adorable, and hilarious -- especially how she gets misunderstood. I feel bad for the general because everyone regards him as a brute, when he's just awkward and clunky. They're definitely a match made in heaven. Can't wait for more (especially since I heard there'll be some smexy action later *raises eyebrows*).

This is the story between a 10 yrs old girl with 30 yrs old man.

Even for myself who married a husband 14yrs older than me, the love story between 12 yrs isn't good as I thought.

I'm not blame the translator for boring deep heart dialog, it's ok if theres some translation mistakes but it's just too much.

Sorry to say. The cover pic and synopsis made me choose to read. Then after read for some chapters, I stop. Thanks

Cute smutty shoujo story. There's not much plot going on other than the set up for the smut scenes. Heroine is betrothed to a general from another country, who is 12 years older than her. She falls in love with his picture at first sight. Most of the story is just about her innocence getting manipulated by her fiance, and even after marriage, she still retains her naive personality.

The second couple is also cute with another wolf like male taking advantage of the rabbit like female to give readers more... more>> cute smut between an innocent girl and a black belly like character.

Overall, the romance is sweet, and there are no villains or angst in the story at all. The smut scenes are pretty hot, so it's a nice sweet short story. <<less

It's cute and simple, ideal if you want a quick read that didn't make you think a lot. There are no drama either, with all misunderstanding and problem solved after several chapter. This novel definitely isn't for people who are looking for more depth or extensive background description. It's focused on the MC and love interest, and only them.

For the fluffy part, I believe other reviewer already stated how cute it is.

Sweet and funny due to the female lead's imagination, the narrator's interventions and the misunderstandings. Sometimes a bit hot hence the R15 tag but still so fresh compared to long twisted and complicated plots from other novels: A great breather and a great translation!

A woman tries to flirt with the ML in front of the FL and instead of the FL getting upset and misunderstanding like in most romance stories, the FL pushes the other female away and clings to the ML and stakes her claim.

I cheered for the FL! She might be a bit clueless about relationship stuff, she's no idiot. And the ML is perfect for her.

It really is a light-hearted story with cuteness overload. And the smut is the cherry on top! ? <<less

So cute! So adorable! If I were a little bit more thin-skinned I'd probably be dead due nosebleed cause too much moe, ٩ (♡¡▽¡♡) ۶

And that already while disreagarding the 'smutty' parts. (･ิω･ิ) Like seriously, I haven't smiled/grinned so much in a while. So 'innocent', so lovely- aaargh~♡

Definitely worth for something sweet and refreshing~

I can't even try to explain. Just give it a try - it just gets sweeter and sweeter. (≧▽≦) ♥♥♥

Overall it's a brainless read (doesn't need a lot of brainpower). We a got the typical buff and scary ML, that's soft towards the FL. The FL is the cute and delicate flower girl who has a muscle fetish, which is probably the only redeeming quality of this novel (it adds comedic relief). There is no major conflict/misunderstanding, just some small issues that pop up. The characters are likeable but not well rounded. There are some 18+ scenes but are concentrated near the end of the story. It's just meh... more>> \_ (^-^) _/. <<less
