Fluff, good pacing, and romantic with how the MC and ML build their life together, interspersed with frustrating family drama in between.

It was annoying to see how the MC's family and relatives treated her. But her uncle's just an exception.

The extra are a gem.

Great translation quality at secondlifetranslations. Cheers~

Good story for those who dig characters like our MC here but not me.

But still I persisted due to two strong reasons

1) it was typically those cliché novels with same plot of domineering ceo wolf pretending to be in sheep clothes protecting and pampering her whims (to gain some future tips for my personal goals) and fluffy rabbit silly foolish girl with not so dumb disguising her PICK ME GIRL attitude

2) as I already read some heavy blow on vital parts and bloody bath with the mind set of... more>> if I'm dying I'll mu*der you first based novels to chill the future sugar mommy in me. And it did as I'm already OMW to another one.

I just couldn't connect with Zhao Qioaqioa in person not because of her meeting unfortunate circumstances before encountering yan wei and protected by him or self-depreciating lines to gain sympathy from readers but her way of doing things in general. Even the romance part was so bland that it made me a little regret to read it however drama wise it was okay.

Otherwise appreciate the translation which was really good and hope this type of translators should pick my kind of books. That's why so many stars only for the translator not for the story. <<less

This was a sweet humorous read with a very likable and adorble FL. If you enjoy a filling smooth romance with a little conflict and a silly characters, you should definitely read this. This novel is the prefect read when you want a break from all the crazy schemeing backstabing revenge relationships.

Hahahaha I like the silly FL so much, she is really foolish that it's cute. Don't expect something really heavy, this a pretty (super) easy read of slice of life. Didn't have to think, just enjoy it.

The translation is pretty decent, but need a bit of editing. But overall the translator have done a really good job! I've read her other translation works, and I love her comments at every now and then, lol.

Man, I have mixed feelings about this novel...

At the begining I hated the protagonist, the author was repeating how s*upid she was ALL THE TIME. I was so unconfortable. And she was really a dumbass, it was embarrasing! I really tought she had some kind of mental problem because she fell with her head when she was a baby... It was like that for the first 15 or 20 chapters, I almost dropped.

At some moments she started to show she is not s*upid, just not really intelligent. She said sharp and smart things, and realize things pretty quickly when it's about feelings. She just doesn't want to think too much. And she is so gentle and innocent! I got myself thinking "Wait, did she just say that? Wasn't she supposed to be dumb?" more often then not. And she is not accepting bullsh*t from anyone, she knows she is not the smartest person in the world, but it doesn't mean she will let people put her down. I can respect that.

I loved the family drama and the ML is so amazing! He does everything she wants and doesn't care at all that she is dumb, actually he loves it!

I really appreciate the last 2/3 of the novel and at the end I didn't regret reading it.

4 star just because the author was really mean with her at the begining, I swear. She is not as s*upid as she thinks she is. <<less

Absolutely loved it. Some chapters had wrong names in sections, for example character A referred to as character B, and sometimes the completely wrong name that doesn’t appear anywhere else in the book. This isn’t often though, and only happened a handful of times at most.

the book is comedic and the storyline is interesting. I would highly recommend.

the story flows smoothly and makes me wants to read it until the ending

i have read quite a lot of transmigration stories which is interesting at the early chapter but becomes boring half way through, this is not that kind of story

so please read it everyone

It is sweet and nice, the translation is relatively clear. The writing was a bit messy in the beginning and the pacing a little chaotic, but it got better very quickly.

The female lead is absolutely adorable.

It’s an entertaining story. The FL is a bit ditzy but very lovable. She isn’t very smart and that’s her charm. The ML is great. Amongst all the ML I have read, he is probably a top contender. From beginning to end, he supported FL, treated her with respect the whole time and albeit he might not have love her at the beginning, he was still single-mindlessly devoted to her. Like a perfect ML with no scummy or ambiguous behavior.

I liked the beginning, it was entertaining. I didn't really like how yan wei punished those who harmed qiaoqiao that lightly, it really wasn't satisfying, I mean it isn't about revenge and all but it still felt empty. The threat were so strong but in the end it was just like that lang? 😭😭 I kept hoping for nothing lol. I guess it was reasonable for them but it really wasn't great to say the least.

ALSO AT SIDE STORY WHERE YAN YE WAS SUDDENLY CHASING HIS FIRST LOVE (I forgot the name) WHAT THE ** WAS THAT IMPLYING, it's simply such a huge red flag lol what were they thinking. It was overall average, supposedly 3.5 for me but 3.0 is too low so 4.0 as an ok read is alright, to also support the author's efforts atleast. Also I did also hope that yan wei could more of did efforts towards making sure that he wouldn't replace qiaoqiao (sure in the end they didn't separate and all but if I were her I'd worry cause hello? Her parents marriage was a nightmare, in this part I think they took this too lightly, but realistically I guess?)

So cute! Such a green flag ML, FMC is such a cutie, and their love story is full of sweetness and joy. Recommended to people who enjoy the genre.

This story is a bit meta, which makes it a little hard to talk about. There's the Original Novel (ON), which is about Yan Ye and Shan Lingtong. Then there's the Transmigration Novel (TN), which is about Liu Yun entering the ON in Zhou Qiaoqiao's body, stealing the ML of the ON Yan Ye from Shan Lingtong, and becoming a rich young starlet. Finally, there's the Actual Novel (AN), which is about Zhou Qiaoqiao saying "hell no, it's my body!" to the protagonist of the TN, Liu Yun. Who then gets sent to the ON ML's "white moonlight" (basically, the one that got away) Shang Qiwen.

When Liu Yun transmigrated into the novel, she absorbs the memories of the host body. In the TN, that was Zhou Qiaoqiao, a poor, clever, and hardworking girl. I think that had a huge impact on her personality and success in the TN. However, in the AN, Liu Yun gets sent to Shang Qiwen, a rich, entitled, "princess". As a result, Liu Yun/Shang Qiwen turns into one of the biggest antagonists in Zhou Qiaoqiao's story.

One of the biggest complaints I have is that Yan Ye (the ON ML) is a piece of crap, but it's implied in the extra chapters that he eventually ends up with Shan Lingtong (the ON FL), even after all the awful things he's done to her. Yan Ye was not really a villain to Zhou Qiaoqiao, but he was someone antagonistic with the AN ML Yan Wei. He made a lot of terrible decisions which hurt the people closest to him. He definitely didn't deserve the happy ending that was implied in the extras.

This story is quite entertaining 😂. I was laughing 🤣 and smiling throughout the time I was reading it. Zhou Qiaoqiao is such a silly and funny girl. The male lead also like to fool the silly and cute female lead.

I'll recommend it to anyone looking for a short fluffy story with a likeable FL and ML.

It was funny and the payback was satisfying. I found the female lead cute and enduring and sure, she may come across ditzy at times but her survival skills are amazing. She experienced so much crap from life and still retained her cheery disposition. Also from the beginning, she refused to submit to the plot and stayed in her body so another soul couldn't enter. Why should she give up her body? Well, I'm not revealing anything because this was in the teaser and revealed in the first chapter. I... more>> didn't read it but had it read out loud in a male voice on Second Life Translations. Love that option.

Of course, there is a domineering, cold and handsome CEO as the male lead even though in the original plot, he doesn't even carry enough weight the the "story" doesn't expand on him. Hence, the others were not aware of his background.

Enjoyed how ZQQ always fall for YW's fake pitiful sob stories and how YW uses it to move into her place. The final extra revealed YW's childhood trauma of being kidnapped and how the kidnappers vented their anger by beating up little YW. The whole experience triggered his sleep and eating disorders which continued until he was 30 and at which point, his parents have long abandoned him as the heir. It was hard to "live" - he'd thought it would be better if he just died and even made a will... and then he meets ZQQ.

FL is very likeable. Story was fluffy with dog blood elements.

However, I wish the author made the relationships between the MC and ml’s families clearer. At a point of the plot, it seemed like the ML broke ties with his family, and yet they were still invited for his wedding later on, participating in the ceremonies and all? While this novel was not bad, clearer characterisation would have elevated it.

Such a fluffy story with likeable FL and ML. The comedy part was done perfectly. It's actually a cliche trope - the rich man and the poor girl, but the way how gullible, optimistic, and sometimes have unexpected train of thought the FL is, the story becomes interesting.

I did hope that the villain is smarter, but as usual for the story like this, she is a big ninny.

The ending and side story is written quite well too. The translation also good.

This is such a nice fluffy story! I think what's great about this is that the side characters are distinct and are actually well made. The plot is simple and straightforward. The FL is a bit s*upid but also perceptive at times. The ML is your typical ceo domineering type that's only nice to the FL. Lol.

Read this when you want to read something light. :)

This was good read, if you just want fluff and eat many dog foods. The development of leads' love story was actually fast but can't complain bc they suit each other & didn't cause too much drama between them.

The FL (Zhou Qiao Qiao) was an unlucky person but got good resilience that made her survived her hardship. She's bit slow & innocent but in a good way and comedic relief lol. Meanwhile, ML (Yan Wei) also got his own health issues such as ED and insomia. They actually good combo... more>> bc they fill each other's void. They were also good people bc they repeatedly gave so many chances to their family despite only disappointments they received.

There many cons are the most characters were dumb. Even the antagonists did s*upid moves that fell on their own schemes. <<less

This such a light, fluffy piece. I love the MC's mix of innoncence, naivety, foolishness, and cleverness, and the way ML just goes along with her. The characters back story is also reasonable and believable enough.

Translator also did a great job translating this.

I had to force myself to finish this, which is why I'm only giving it a 4. I guess it's just too bland for me. It felt like there was no plot or climax, and even the issues encountered by the protagonists felt too contrived.

It's a rom-com slice of life novel that focus more on comedy I think, it indeed brought me to laughter when reading it. Although the FL is a bit embarrassing at the start but you will come to love her antics as it bring joy and second hands embarrassment when reading it, overall it's worth your time.
