When he was young, his family was slaughtered, the mermaid spores and research results crucial to humanity’s fate, which had been preserved for generations, were taken, and his only younger brother was also kidnapped. In order to seek revenge and to find him, Medusa joined the son of his enemy as a military doctor. He personally captured and tamed a precious merman that his enemies considered a lifesaver, turning the merman into his sole springboard for revenge. Little did he know, from the moment he caught this fierce and mysterious young merman, he had been regarded as a must-have by the other party…

————————————————————————

“Be good, Seleucus… come here, come to me.”

Medusa coaxed softly, picking up the chain attached to the restraint on the merman’s neck, tightening it inch by inch. He stared at the surface of the water ahead—— the long fishtail, carrying a golden light as bright as the sun, was like the Son of God slicing through the darkness. Guided by the chain, the merman swam slowly towards him.

Closer, even closer.

Yes, this s*ave he had personally captured and went to great pains to tame for his revenge was still as obedient as a loyal hound, and was still under his control.

As he thought this, silently, a mass of pitch-black hair spread across the surface like a dark cloud, revealing the merman’s cold, narrow green eyes below.

Suddenly, his ankle was tightened as it was grabbed by a scorching webbed claw.

———This merman seemed to have grown a lot since the last time he had been seriously injured and escaped. Now, he was silently staring at him, his gaze like that of a ravenous dragon lurking in a dark lair for a long time, having just spotted its prey. There was no trace of the docile submission he had shown when he was with him day and night before… his wild nature was revealed.

————————————————————————–

“You did not hurt me? No……you did.

And you also forget,

I will believe you, I will be loyal to

you, forever.”

I didn’t make it through the first book because making it through the mafia part was unbearable (at the time, might try again).

Medusa Merman feels like the same premise as the first book, but feels like the writer/author has developed a lot. Maybe the translator is just amazing! Not sure as I can’t read the original.

I don’t understand why people are leaving the book low ratings. If you’re reading a sequel, you know what you’re in for.

... more>> All the sensitive topics are the same. The beginning has that same *magic*.
