The beautiful gold chick he named Goldie went bald after it evolved! I nearly cried tears of laughter from that one. Or the time he made the short familiar he promised help get talker shorter after evolution. Even with his cheat he doesn't know how thing will turn out.

He's stuck on an island during the cataclysm which killed MC's parents. He's also the president of one of the world's current highest powers.

Gao Peng - MC. Has a cheat that allows him to see the statistics of any monster he sees.

Monsters (in order of how long they were with MC)

Da Zi (electric centipede) : MC’s first monster. Grew up with the MC. A glutton. I cried when MC came back in the end, and their reunion was extremely touching.

Dumby (skeleton monke) : Adorable, wholesome babie who has the strongest willpower ever. He held on for so long cause he wanted to see his daughter awww.

Stripey (tanky spider) : Poor cutie who lost his ‘trainer’ (unofficial) and fellow monster in one night. MC picks him up from the same apartment building. He grows MASSIVE. Like, as big as a mountain. Also his ‘trainer’s’ story made me cry for the first time reading the novel. I’m a crybaby yes.

Silly (floating space jelly) : MC bought him at a market. He really like juice, a lot. MC wears him as green hat for a few chapters lol. (Green hat: being cheated on)

Flamy (FIRE BIRB) : MC’s grandfather brought her to MC. It’s always repeated in the novel how she’s fat, looking more like a penguin. She’s a freakin mythical crane.

Goldie (buff duck) : MC finds him in the woods, and sees that he has a special passive called ‘GUI Power’. He eventually turns bald in his first evolution. Loves money for some reason??

Moneymaker (treasure rat) :

Btw be prepared as although the novel never said anything about it, the main character is a sociopath. Yep, the deaths made him insane. The start is a facade, the main character sees himself as the person he possessed rather than his past life. And he barely does petshop work. He would as time passed by incite trouble for himself and acts as if he hates it. He has bloodlust as well.

Although the novel did give hints about it. The MC acted too normal like the normal cold protag. It was only in later chapters that he reveals that he is a sociopath. By slaughtering people because they wanted him to get out of a banquet due to being disrespectful. There was a more peaceful way to prove them wrong but he instantly killed and always says "it is not my fault but yours" which I am pretty sure he is saying that to himself more so than others.

He knows he is disrespectful probably, but uses it to kill.

Some stuff I thought was not thought out or planned which could have been translation errors was the power levels/systems, like with the familiars at the start saying that it king was the highest then a few chapters later saying emperor. Some characters it seemed like the author would forget and then just randomly bring them back.

The main character never really grows or has set backs the only time it almost seemed like the author was going to go that way was during the Red River Ape part but then got backlash so stopped, which sucks because after that its super bland and it would have been nice if we could have seen him grow.

I think the epilogue really ruined the ending it should have just ending with him sacrificing himself over a weird multiverse explanation and coming back.
