MC is a alpha-looking omega and has trouble landing a date with other alphas. he meets ML and they hit it off... only because ML is into AA relationships and thought MC to be an alpha as well. when the truth came out, they broke up. but as fate would have it, MC becomes mls tenant and they start living together. MC, although pissed, still has feelings for ML and these feelings only grew stronger the more time he spends with him. ML turns out to be physically repulsed by omegas, which makes the two incompatible. but ML is also fond of MC, and genuinely tries his best to get over his so-called 'stress response' with counselling. in the end they made up, and through trial and error, successfully became intimate.

It's based on MC and ML's delusions of having a relationship and they rush right into things after having been alone for so long. They hide their true selves from each other and break up fairly quickly.

There are several characters who were forced to marry each other due to having children together. ML happens to come from one of these families and becomes scarred as his parents' lives were disrupted by his birth.

One major premise is that ML so desperately rejects his innate physiological responses to pheromones that he has become naturally averted to the smell of omega pheromones and wishes he was a beta. As a writer, he even writes a novel where the characters live in a non-ABO world.
