Yu Ting was cheated on.

Her ex-girlfriend, Ran Xue, fell in love with a French woman while abroad and planned to spend the rest of her life with her. However, the Yu and Ran families had already arranged a marriage between Yu Ting and Ran Xue due to significant family ties. To inherit her family’s fortune, Yu Ting must not break off the engagement, according to her grandfather’s ultimatum.

Ran Ling, Ran Xue’s older sister and the eldest daughter of the Ran family, is graceful and delicate, a true beauty from the Jiangnan region. Known for her soft demeanor, she is often secluded due to her inability to speak, appearing fragile and in need of care.
