After living an utterly ordinary life for over a decade, one night Ji Minghuan suddenly awakened a strange superpower—the ability to create game characters in the real world. Each character came with their own main storyline and a unique skill tree system.

From that moment on, he was unstoppable. He kept creating new characters, developing their skill trees, and nurturing their systems… As long as a character’s popularity increased, their powers would grow stronger. So he started stirring up trouble like crazy, doing whatever it took to grab attention. He acted like a total sh*t-stirrer, bouncing back and forth between superheroes and supervillains alike.

By the time he snapped out of it, Ji Minghuan was already sitting on the moon, staring down at the battered, bruised blue planet. A bunch of maxed-out characters stood silently behind him. With an innocent look on his face, he couldn’t help but mutter, “I swear I didn’t mean to destroy the world!”

The world in this novel feels like a blend of My Hero Academia, Jujutsu Kaisen, and Toaru. It has that mix of superpowers, systems, and chaos that somehow still stays grounded. The world-building has a really strong foundation, and even as of chapter 200, it still holds up well. Nothing feels out of place or forced.

Reading it actually reminds me of LOTM. The way the characters are written is really well done. You can guess their goals, their thoughts, and why they act the way they do without the author... more>> just dumping all their backstories at once. It all unfolds naturally. The mysteries, the gradual reveals, the MC's relationships with others, and his morally grey personality are all tied together into a story that feels carefully made. It may not be a masterpiece like LOTM, but it is definitely something solid and well thought out.

The development is a bit slow, but honestly, that kind of pacing works here. It gives more space for the world to breathe and for the story to feel more alive. The action scenes aren't anything too special. They get the job done, but clearly the focus is more on the characters and the world.

The MC's unique Esper ability is surprisingly creative. At first glance, it might seem like a typical clone-type system, but once you see how it works, it's actually really clever. The "Anchor Point" mechanic especially stands out. It means the MC doesn't have full control over his own power, which adds more tension and challenge.

The protagonist himself is pretty complex. He's emotional, but he distances himself from people because of it. And if you think about it, he's only 12 years old. That really puts his personality and choices into perspective. He's had to grow up too fast, and because of that, he ends up treating life like a game, doing reckless things and not caring much about other people's lives. He's not a bad person, just someone who had to shut himself off to keep going. And the way his character slowly changes over time is one of the best parts of the story. Whether he wants to or not, the people he meets and the connections he makes start to affect how he sees the world. He is selfish, but so is everyone.

Every character in this novel is interesting to read. They all have their own thing going on. The author also adds pop-culture references here and there, from classic literature to anime, which is a nice touch for readers who catch them.

The villains and evil organizations are not just evil for the sake of being evil. They have actual goals. They exist for a reason. And even when one of them is clearly just a bad person with nothing redeeming about her, you still end up feeling something for her. It's impressive how the author makes even the villains feel real, like they're people who lived lives before the story began.

Characters like the MC, Kong Youling, Ayase Origami, and Gu Xiyu are all really well-written. I genuinely enjoy every moment they're on the page. But if I had to pick, the character dynamics between the MC and Ayase Origami are probably the best in the whole story so far.

The power system is also something worth mentioning. Espers are kind of like quirks from My Hero Academia. Exorcists are more like Cursed Techniques/Tools from Jujutsu Kaisen, but with each having a unique weapon. And Anecdote Envoys are basically like Yu-Gi-Oh! players who collect their own cards and can summon spells or creatures into the real world. It sounds a bit crazy, but the author pulls it off well.

Each character's ability matches their personality. It's not random. You can actually understand why a person has a certain power based on who they are and how they think. That level of detail adds a lot to both the characters and the story.

Even though it's not perfect and maybe not something I'd label as a "masterpiece" just yet, there's definitely something special about this novel. The story, the characters, the world-building, and the way everything slowly comes together make it a really engaging read. And while the pacing may be slow, it's the kind of slow that feels worth it. <<less
