Wow, first time seeing a Chinese Yuri cultivation novel. Sounds really interesting, it’s pretty similar to a lot of the ones where there’s a system and the MC takes in a evil protagonist to prevent them from destroying the world in the future. Then the disciple will slowly fall in love with the MC because the MC is the only warmth in his/her darkness.

I love how they used those tropes for this Yuri, it’ll be interesting to see the difference since it is female female.

I can't say much right now. The story looks interesting and lesbian female cultivators MC are a rarity as in I never saw one. My rating and opinion is subject to change if the story devolve into cringing everytime I read it or just a regular fetish romance story.

We will see.

Adorable new take on the classic master-disciple relationship, expect a ton of fluffiness in upcoming chapters. Although with only 5 chapters out so far, the story is peculiar enough to hook a readers interest. Hopefully this will be picked up soon.

This novel is one my favorites, and I'm very attached to it. NOTE: If you don't like a yandere character then this is not for you!!

Here's the story, Jiufeng got transmigated to this novel and tasked to raised the reincarnation of the ancient witch, the strongest individual in the cultivation world (or demon realm too), Ning Guang. Ning Guang was fated to destroy the world because it only gave her sufferings and pain. She was born with no one cared for her, and everyone hates her even though she didn't... more>> do anything until Jiufeng appears. Jiufeng adopted her as a disciple, and gave her warmth that she never received before. Then, they started a fluffy adventure to change the fate of the ancient witch.

The ending was quite unexpected. It is revealed that Jiufeng is a lingering spirit who was once the Ancient Witch's lover. She died because of a jealous rival's scheme, and so the grieving ancient witch followed her. Jiufeng soul waited for the reincarnated Ancient witch to help her. Sadly, they're still fated to have a bad ending even in the present. Jiufeng didn't give up, so she was sent to the past by the villain's suggestion. She changed the past and successfully saved their love story.

I love this story because I witnessed how their relationship progressed from a disciple-master relationship into lovers. You can't help, but laugh at the two characters when their image changes as you them and as the story goes.

Jiufeng is an over-protective master who dotes her disciple, Ning Guang. Later on, she became an adorable lover who loves being doted on. Ning guang is a possesive disciple (yandere) who will do everything to gain her master's favor. She really loves the warmth and affection that she can only receive from Jiufeng. Later on, she became so cool LOL she really dotes Jiufeng since she became stronger. She's really cruel and cold. She only cares for her master.


Honestly, Jiufeng is aware of this twisted personality of Ning Guang, and she still likes her lol. Please be aware that this novel has an excessive amount of flirting HAH!

It’s not bad, my only issue is the pacing that we’ve seen so far. Story starts at 30 and speeds immediately to 100! Juifeng and lumina (?) Stick to each other basically right from the beginning. Juifeng sees lumina as a cute kid while lumina wants to grasp the only kindness she’s ever received so far. There’s not enough chapters yet to make any final decisions but so far, it’s a good story!

Read this back when Chapter 07 came out and I'm surprised this hasn't gotten more attention. The idea I feel is quite unique and I do love the relationship forming between the two main characters.

I am a sucker for these types of stories where someone helps some little girl out of a bad life and what not. I just hope we get more really soon.

I was really hoping this would be good, it had a 4.3/5 on the site and it was a chinese yuri that I was excited to read. The MC works really hard to change the FL into becoming a better person and I really liked her character. The MC tells her not to use demonic cultivation to harm others in hopes that she can change what happens. She forgives the FL a LOT even when she doesn't deserve it.

The FL is very possessive towards the MC, even when the MC is just casually speaking to others she gets jealous. I just couldn't continue reading because I was very bothered with the FL. <<less

It feels like the equivalent of a generic fanservice manga, in chinese novel form. With yandere + yuri in it.

If that's what you're looking for, then you've found it right here.

There aren't problems with the translation, and there isn't anything extremely bad about it, but I wouldn't recommend this work if you're looking for a good story and not just trying to satisfy your yandere-yuri cravings.

I would rate this a 2.5 stars, but I can't and I don't think it deserves being rounded up.

Its actually really good. Well if you are a yandere lover like me this is definitely right up your alley. FL might be super duper possessive thats its sometimes unreasonable that I can't help but facepalm but she also has a redeeming trait of never ever wanting the MC suffer the slightest grievance or hurt regardless whether its from herself or others, so the no one can really outright say its toxic lol. This one really has good world building and its honestly rare to find a xinxia yuri (and... more>> a good one at that!) novel so I immediately dove in this one, and it was worth the pay off for me. Totally love the romance and all the fluff (tho I did get confused about some parts around the ending or was it only cuz I'm a dumbass (?) idk lol).

there is also that part that had me reeling and like "?????" with that bit with Lin Yunyou where Gu YunLu was basically in love (implied?) with her cuz it was mentioned they are actually one soul- a split soul of each other- so I'm like???? So... she's (Gu Yunlu) basically in love with herself? Yikes....

This novel is not cute, much less healthy. It is simply sick and disturbing. The witch is not a compassionate character, she is really mean, she disgusts me.

Sure, that's just my opinion, probably a bit overdone, but that's what I've felt reading so far.

I honestly love this novel, yuri xianxia is quite rare and there is a decent cultivation system. The ones that find the way the FL acts disturbing should just go and watch cat videos because they cannot even embrace the dark side of humanity, since not every human is kind why should every novel be about rainbows and sunshine?

I'm all for yandere yuri romance, but this novel just doesn't hit the spot. Two chapters in and little witch is already crazy in love and obsessed with MC. There's only little witch's thought "It's the first time someone was kind to me" repeated few times and that's it. Author didn't even try to give their relationship any depth, feels like he just wanted to do basic minimum of character introduction, so he could quickly countine with tropes.

Then there's system at its worst. It isn't necessary, motivation of MC and... more>> plot could be simply explained by her trying to save her favourite character. Or system could just give her genreal task "Help little witch and don't let her destroy the world" and leave her to her own devices. But no, system gives specific tasks at random points. It means it's gonna force events at every occasion and also force romantic situations. Which in turn means romance is gonna look like "system is forcing MC to go to event place and prohibiting her avoiding it or choosing her own solution to problem. Because of forced event there's romantic moment. Repeat x number of times. Then MC suddenly finds out she's in love with witch". It f*cking s*cks, yandere yuri novel is great because love interest imposes herself on MC, but here it's system who makes them love each other. (Btw all stories where system controls flow of the romance are sh*t in my opinion). Add to it that system had all missions confirmed from the start and already planned when they're gonna be in bridal chamber. And if system wasn't bad enough already, it also decides to torture MC with lightning and pain every time witch kills someone. At this point I was complety done. First, it limits how little witch can do cruel things to others or any revenge story. Yandere is all about being ruthless to anyone who stands on their way, but author decides we can't enjoy these moments, so every time it's gonna to happened instead of excitement, we're gonna feel annoyed about suffering of MC. Second, it gives even more restrictions for MC, making her basically puppet who can only do what system wants if she doesn't want to be f*cking tortured.

So we have author too lazy to create any normal motivations for the characters and instead uses system as a reason for every action MC is gonna to take. Romance is planned step by step by system from the start and has nothing to do with what MC feels or thinks. MC is punished by every enjoyable "crazy ruthless yandere moment". All together, it's dog sh*t novel with good idea, but awful execution. I gave it 3/5 because I only read a few chapters and have rule about benefit of the doubt, but based on what I think and know about it, I would give it 1/5 every day of a week. <<less

some tips: if you don't like a yandere, obsessive and over protective character please don't read this, it might won't suit your preference.

just finished last night and I REALLY LOVE THIS STORY SOOO MUCH, I love their relationship they're sooo devoted to each other. Their relationship also sooo sweet and fluff! I love how they comunicates and solves problem together.

some of side characters also likeable, they're so supportive towards ning guang and jiufeng ahhh I miss them already

but the pace of the story is so quick at some arcs and... more>> there are still some plot holes here and there, but overall this baihe is quite enjoyable and and I'm happy to be able to finished it <3 <<less

aighttttt! I gave it a full rating cuz y not? I liked the story very much and the twist ain't bad itself! Sure, niang guang is possessive and “evil” through and through but who wouldn't if u just watched ur whole clan and lover be slaughtered like livestock just because of a falsified rumor? What's more, it was because of human greed and none other. Who wouldn't want to destroy the world with that? No one's gonna be kind after all that. Duh. Human nature is more cruel than u... more>> think. Truly. I love this story nonetheless! And about yunlu becoming in love with her own self, it isn't exactly like that but it wasn't also wrong. Yunlu is the personification of her original self's jealousy with half her soul. She's her own jealousy. She don't exactly love lin or whatever—she's just jealous because she has all her eyes towards niang guang. It isn't weird. She's ‘jealousy’ itself after all sooooooo yep. <<less

A good shifu X disciple barely there system novel tho for me personally it lacked smth to make it 5*. Paper tiger being indulged by a dragon dynamic. The fact MC has bound feet was pretty interesting too, loved that detail, tho my favorite was actually a little flower yao side chara.

Plot wise I'd say the vibe of the direction changed a few times, and everything sorta made a turn over in the last 5ch but but more or less alright.

Honestly a little bit confusing and reads like a mystery novel. If you don’t like mystery stories, you won’t like this. It doesn’t start out that way though. I'm not even sure how to classify/categorise this novel.

The summary gives the implication that this novel is about Di JiuFeng trying to change and reform Ning Guang so that she doesn’t destroy the world and everyone can continue living. But after they – SPOILER SPOILER - get together/become a couple, the “quest” changes.

At first you’re not even sure what’s going on but... more>> as you continue reading, it becomes clearer that this is some kind of mystery that they have to solve. There’s someone working behind the scenes to guide them along and when DJF and the system finally discuss things through, it seems that not all is as it seems? What really is going on? Even DJF is in the same position as the reader, not knowing what’s going on and trying to figure things out along the way. There seems to be an enemy but who is it?! In the end the enemy turns out not to be an enemy?? What??

There’s ALOT of suspense so if you don’t like being kept in suspense you might hate this.

Basically, I was not prepared for what this turned out to be. Right until the end, It's still confusing. Supposedly it’s all explained BUT it just leads to more questions!!! Like – SPOILER ALERT for the ending -

Given that DJF is sent back to the past and manages to change the events, the “future” no longer exists, so Ning Guang herself doesn’t even exist anymore. DJF is now with Xuan Ming, the ancient witch who didn’t die because DJF changed things. So why is Ning Guang’s name still used?

And also, this time travel thing is also a bit of a paradox because if Gu Yunlu does not come into existence then DJF would not have been sent back to the past. Also, what kinda power does GYL have to send someone’s soul to the past and to create the system etc etc??? None of that is explained. And she also has the power to make it such that no one notices that DJF is actually a lingering desire/resentful ghost?? Even herself?? Huh?? Confusion!!

And also, what was the point of NG trying to fuse with the ancient witch’s original body? What was GYL’s plan here? I seriously don’t get it.

TLDR; the story is not like what the summary implies it to be. If I had to tag it I would say drama, suspense, mystery, romance. Also, NG is just way too possessive for me.

I’ve been trying to find (complete) yuri novels set in ancient times and was really hoping to like/enjoy this one, but I can’t honestly say I have. It was a bit too confusing to me and I didn’t sign up for a mystery novel. <<less

hhhhh, where to begin. I had expectations for this novel, it started kinda slow but got me reading and I was interested in how they would develop their love story.

but as the arc of the conference came I got bored, there were so many things happening all in the same arc that it was a overwhelming, and I couldnt focus on either of them.... I kept reading hoping the plot would pick up again and get me hooked up just like in the beginning but ning guang was being so... more>> obsessive that I just wasnt feeling empathy for the them as a couple or as characters

thats when I realized that this novel was not for me and even if I want to know how it ended, I didnt push myself to read the whole thing bc I knew i'd feel dissapointed regardless of the outcome <<less
