Accidentally clicked 4 stars. This novel deserves a 3 stars for the translation and the MC only! The ML's character development was very disappointing.

Summary:

The ML is forced into an arranged marriage with the MC despite the fact that the ML already has a childhood sweetheart and is "dating" said sweetheart. In this setting, the parents are supreme, so the MC and ML have no choice but to be husband and wife in name only. After marriage, the ML is obviously heartbroken and finds ways to humiliate the MC due to... more>> her indifference to the arranged marriage. The MC slowly but surely does her best to support the ML's emotional drama and eventually the ML gets over his first love and falls in love with the MC. Afterwards, they live happily ever after.

MC: A very pragmatic noble lady (for once we have a mature FL that is not obsessed with love and can actually think for herself)

ML: A very delusional noble gentleman (for once we have a maiden in love ML that is blinded by his first love, not obsessed with the MC)

The MC in this novel is really refreshing. Not only is she realistic about her current circumstances, but is also not obsessed with love/romance. The MC knows that the ML doesn't like her due to the arranged marriage, so she doesn't try to curry favor with the ML, but instead tries to help the ML and his first love secretly get back together. The MC can't divorce the ML, but she can allow him to have secret meetings with his first love and basically have mistresses on the side if he wants to. This is because the MC knows that she can't force any one to love her. During the time that the ML was heartbroken after marriage and essentially being an ass, the MC decided to support the ML as best she could. The MC doesn't strive to be the ML's lover, but at least be working partners to manage the fief together.

The most disappointing thing is that after the ML finally got over his first love and ended up falling for the MC for her continuous support, the MC just nonchalantly forgives the ML and agrees to be with him. The ending just felt really dull. After all the drama that the ML caused, it felt like the ML got off too lightly. It doesn't feel like the ML learned his lesson at all and I can definitely see the ML in the future falling in love with another woman and leaving the MC again. Because of this, the ending is very unsatisfying due to the poor character development of the ML.

Really cute story.

The MC is a strong woman whose personality is the most attractive thing about this story. I also like her best friend Franz a lot. All in all, it's not a particularly fluffy story, nor is it that angsty, which I didn't expect. But it was very satisfying to read, and the MC is the type of role model all young girls should have in regards to work ethic and her take on love.

Obsessiveness in love is not healthy, kids.

Loved this short story.

The FL, Claudia, is so pragmatic yet so kind. She deals with the situation with such calm that you can't help but admire her. Among all the angst filled novels, this is a breath of fresh air. Love is not the only thing that matters.

A great read. The translator has gone an excellent job. Well done.

I like MC, I like her POV in everything, even love.

ML was a douche in the beginning, but through MC's eyes, I learned to like him as well.

I want to give it 2 stars but I decide to give 3 stars because MC is different from any other MC that I've ever read. She's realistic, magnanimous, and doesn't easily blinded by love. But I'm not that magnanimous like MC so I couldn't forgive ML easily. He's so childish, arrogant, and often hurts MC with his words and attitudes. Fortunately, MC doesn't take it to her heart. I just hope that MC doesn't accept ML easily but too bad I'm not MC.

Cute. MC was not overly wishy washy in love type. I hate it when they lost themselves in love, as if this love was what has become to define them and without reciprocation they cannot continue to be. Weaklings. MC was not like that, which I really appreciated. A clean and clear mindset in love that was refreshing.

Cute and short read. The translation was also well done.

The FL has such a good head on her shoulders and just enjoy the way she deals with the situation that is handed to her. She is really good at adapting and it's nice to see characters that aren't being controlled by the ML's love and she is still able to stand her ground.

I will give this a 3.

I keep opening the chapter 7 and it always appeared that my account is suspended? Bit*h what? I was confused and quite upset on this.

I really wanted to know the ending but URGHHHH!!!!

... more>> Okay, I will talk about the characters on this novel. The MC have a steady and collected mind and she supports the ML and his b*tch.

ML is a brat who have cliche stereotypes on his mind. I was annoyed by his whiny ass because b*tch, my girl is already discontented of you and rates you a 1 star tr*sh!! If you're not happy on this marriage, my girl is also not happy but decided to stick on you!!

(Sorry for the rage and also the profanities being stated on this comment)

Okay—I don't know about the ending on this novel because on what I still observe, it keeps on denying me from accessing the last two chapters. On what I read on the reviews, the MC accepted ML's confession and they live happily ever after.

No sufferings to the ML? My girl put a lot on his bullsh*t and this is what you gave her??

I really respect the couple on the story. Though they have flaws when it comes to love, they overcome it.

Our MC is a very open minded and restpectful person but she's too kind that you feel frustrated. On the other hand, our ML is a talented and perceptive man and definitely very earnest, too earnest just as the title says.

He is the very definition of 'Love is blind' in the first few chapters. (Welp I think he's still blind to love in the later chapters to our beloved MC lol... more>> but to a good extent thankfully)

Loving someone is really painful especially when you enter into a circle of dilemma. I don't think the ex lover was a b*tch or an intrusive someone in thwer relationship. The former lovers are in love and they are separated by force. If it was in your shoes, could you say that the ML is a bad person?

ML is indeed stubborn but he knows his mistakes and reflects on them. He appreciates kindness, especially when he sees MC respecting his boundaries. He has many good qualities but it was blocked out due to his perception of love in the past but MC tore his wall and encourage him to become something beyond his current limits. This is what the ex lover lacks because it seems like her husband isn't isn't as attentive as our MC.

  • I really love how healthy their relationship was afterwards. I'l definitely re read this and consume more sweets in every chapter lol

3 stars because after chapter 6 it seems impossible to find chapter 7&8. Unfinished endings troubles the most so I could not bring myself to give a handsome review. But I really wanted to!ughh.... Could someone please provide me the link of chapter 7&8 please 🥺
