Mu Xiaoya lived for twenty-six years before she knew that she had a sudden genetic disease. There was no medicine for it, and there was only death waiting for her.

Before she died, many people came to see her, but she was most impressed by Bai Chuan.

Bai Chuan was her neighbor, an autistic child with scholar’s syndrome. At that time, his face full of scars was desperate: “I – I studied all your medical records, but I have no way to save you.”

Mu Xiaoya was stunned: “You are a doctor?”

Bai Chuan: “I am not… …”

Mu Xiaoya’s disease was a genetic disease. Unless the gene was changed, there was no possibility of cure. However, Bai Chuan was the only person who tried to cure her after she fell ill.

Mu Xiaoya: “Why are you going to cure me?”

Bai Chuan: “I want to marry you.”

Mu Xiaoya laughed: “If you marry me, you will soon become a widower.”

Bai Chuan insisted: “I – I want to marry you.”

Bai Chuan, who has cognitive impairments, can’t express his meaning very well, and can only repeat it over and over again.

Later, Mu Xiaoya still died. When she woke up, she returned to the summer of her college graduation.

Bai Chuan: “I… I want to marry you.”

Mu Xiaoya: “Good.”

The starlight in the eyes of Bai Chuan was the most beautiful scenery that Mu Xiaoya had ever seen in her life.

Loved it. Childhood sweethearts finally getting together in their 2nd life. This is a story between a apparently terminally ill reborn FL and an autistic ML. They both complete each other with their own virtues and lifelong love.

I won't rate it as I only read until chapter 43 and skimmed til the end. This story wasn't my cup of tea and many parts bothered me throughout. However, I do see how some can love this novel.

The MC and MLs relationship bothered me. The author set up the ML as basically a child when it comes to EQ he just has high IQ, but

they end up doing it and MC gets pregnant, rubbed me the wrong way.

I would like to warn that the authors views on autism are at the base wrong. Please do not take this novel as an example of autistic people and how to interact with them. If you are curious about autism please look it up from credible sources. It was so weird how they kept talking about "curing" him.

The whole part with jade really made me roll my eyes.
Spoiler

I was wondering how the author was going to deal with the MCs disease, but really?! I would have believed it more that her rebirthing cured her more than the jade changed 1/2 of her genes

I think this novel is what you know as either love it or hate it. For people who like fluffy and doesnt really care how far the truth of autism in real word, like me, will really like this. For me, the description of ML char of autism near the truth of what I know, and I dont really care the depth that I dont know. But, if you are the one who really care about description of ML char of autism, I think you will hate this.

But yeah, for... more>> me, this novel is one of the greatest novel of grumpy crab. <<less

A sweet and fluffy story about FL being reborn and marrying the ML who has scholar syndrome.

Honestly, if you are sensitive about how mental disorders are perceived, don't read this. The description is not very realistic.

The relationship between FL and ML was just cuteness overload. I really like the lightness of the novel. Though the way autism is portrayed in the book is kinda iffy. Besides that I enjoy the novel.

Modern story. Lots of fluff. It is a happy ending.

Translators have done an awesome job.

The portrayal of high functioning Autism or Aspergers are not exactly right. The ‘genetic disease also seems iffy as if it is genetic, do they not know what gene. If they know what gene then why can’t it be discovered ahead of time.

However, I think the book is still good and doesn’t deserve 1 or 2 stars. Lots of scientists have Aspergers and many go on to have kids and family. But it is a spectrum... more>> and people can fall on any of the spectrum so his kind of Aspergers is a possibility.

Beautiful. A heartwarming tale of two people connecting with each other through their differences and come to mutual respect and love for one another. Throughout their hardships and difficult circumstances, they use words to express their thoughts and feelings, and I cannot stress it enough, they use WORDS to tell each other what their thinking so that dumb misunderstandings that are easily preventable, are prevented.

I love the ML, I think he is adorable and charming. The FL is sensible and mature, which I love about her. They are a believable... more>> and cute couple and I enjoy that about the novel.

All in all, this novel is a wholesome story about the relationship of these two. No annoying love rivals and sigh inducing misunderstandings either. A personal favourite of mine. <<less

I can't say enough good things about this novel. It was sweet, fluffy, heartwarming, we-inspiring, and more. The ML to this day is still one of my favorites. The way the author provides little tidbits about their child from both their POVs will make you laugh and die from the fluffiness. Also what's so interesting is how we see the FL's struggle when certain problems occur. It made her so much more relatable at those points. In addition to certain antidotes, the author included that made you want to reflect... more>> on life and your perspective of it. All in all, this is a really sweet novel that you definitely not miss out on. <<less

This might be the most beautiful modern love story I’ve ever read. I still think about this novel and tear up. The MC goes back in time and accepts a marriage proposal from her childhood friend with scholar syndrome and this is where the love story begins. The romance builds up and is extremely fluffy and adorable. I’ve read almost every chinese, Japanese, and korean reincarnation stories but this will probably be in my top 3 favorites. All of the characters use logic, aren’t overly dramatic and overbearing, plus the... more>> MC is honest and gentle. I love her.

AMAZING, AMAZING, AMAZING.

One of the best, most fluffiest, most angsty novels I've read. Funny, heartbreaking, adorable.

Female lead is logical and realistic. Male lead is so devoted. Good pace and development - not too fast or too slow. Lots of fluff.

You will not regret this. 10/10 recommend.

Good novel! First chapter to ten and im already crying! As expected of Grumpy Crab who made me cry at ROTDOCBA with just fluff! She's definitely now one of my favorite authors!

First time reading a novel with an ML who has autism and its okay. I was expecting more but he grew to be a normal person later with rare break outs. And the way the author uses sickness and illness doesn't sit well with me.

Aside from that everything is okay.

I was expecting Brother Bai Zheng to be with Fang... more>> Hui but well, they both found other people lol.

MC is not OP but also has breakdowns because of the knowledge the future gave her. I like jow she is patient with MC nad made it clear that she's not doibg it because of virtues. She's doing it ebcause she wants too.

ML is an honest person, past life him was really really pitiful and I cant help but shed tears for him. But luckily in this life, Grandma Bai was always by their sides despite being gone from the first chapters and so. Edit: The scholar syndrome part plagued me still to this day and I searched for what it was numerous times and gained nothing so I thought it was just a made up syndrome but turns out it's called Savant syndrome! 5/5 I love it very much. <<less

I started reading this novel because I really enjoyed the author's others works and although there are only 5 chapters translated so far this novel feels promising so I'm looking forward for the next chapters. And thanks for the translators for picking this novel, your translations are nice to read and also because I was craving for another novel of grumpy crab.

it's a good and, I think, a rare novel that vividly portrays the circumstances being faced by people with disability and those around them, specifically the autism for this one. Although it still follows the troupe popular in chinese novels - rich, handsome, genius, etc., which makes this closer to unreal. But it's very fluffy, touching, and sentimental. It's short and it's a great read to pass time
