Translator is doing a good work. The story is very interesting and unique not like the usual showbiz story. The MC is genetically modified person born in Labortary and ML mother give the MC to him before exploding the Laboratory. There romance was slow from beginning but after they confirm their relationship they were so sweet that its diabetes inducing. As MC was born in Laboratory he doesn't understand much about emotions that's why he chose acting so he could know more about feelings. It's a worth read novel. Everyone should give it a try.
- MC is genetically modified human being (super genius, hacker, piano virtuoso, game master, sniper, etc.), only weakness is doesn't really understand human emotions. Personality is "dumb innocent sweet, " mischevious and loves candy like a kid

- ML has amnesia after a car accident
- There's overarching plot with a conspiracy revolving around the MC and ML, the lab that raised the MC, ML's genius mom and the ML's genes
- Everyone thinks that ML is MC's patron and there's unspoken rules, but their relationship was actually completely platonic before the accident; MC is basically like ML's family member (their relationship changes slowly after ML got amnesia)
- Story has some emotional moments, but primarily based on humor, a ton of fluff, innocently passing out dogfood, and MC being a precious cinnamon roll
- Pacing is a bit slow. The chapters are not that long, yet the author still manages to drag things on, with quite a bit of repetitiveness and being overly detailed on unimportant things
- It's slice-of-life to a somewhat extreme extent at times, like being able to skip 2-3 pages (or an entire chapter) of nothing related to plot happening (like MC telling ML a bedtime story, and then telling ML a second story... putting readers to sleep too)
I recommend reading this if you want a very sweet, fluffy, enough sugar to make you lose all your teeth, super super OP MC and ML story. There aren't a lot of challenges (too OP) but it's still cute and enjoyable. Translator is fairly new, edited MTL but gets better after Ch1. I read the raws (in Chinese, not MTL) after Ch8. Interesting tidbit about the story's title...MC is actually very independently wealthy, but has no knowledge of the real world so he naively thinks ML is his "patron/sugar daddy" because he lives with ML and ML covers his daily necessities
Yes, he's Chinese American (American citizen) and not too familiar with ancient Chinese or Chinese slang, it's pretty hilarious
The author writes in the comments that the story used to be called "My Patron Has Amnesia" but it was censored by the gov't, so they had to change it. As is, "old gong" is a play on the ML's name (which is Gong Yue), and basically sounds like the phrase "husband."
not sure if I spelled those names right.Realation ship between MC&ML:- i will try my best to minimize this. (Because I have too much to say) Sweet, wholesome, adorable. the MC and ML realise their feelings and get together around midway through the novel. The ML notices his feelings for MC very early. The MC also has had feelings more ML for a long time but he's too dense to notice. Even though the ML noticed his feelings quite early, he never forced MC to do anything he wasn't comfortable with. He waited until the MC himself noticed and understood those feelings and helped him through the process. The only person MC and ML FULLY trust is eachother. Overall, it's extremely sweet. This relationship ship literally carries most of this story. Rating of relationship b/w MC, ML:- (5/5) I hope you give this story a chance! Happy Reading!
