Because of the limit of the length, a lot of the plot points felt rushed or underutilized:

-The title plot point is really just a catalyst to get the story rolling. It's unique and fun but became irrelevant too quickly when I expected it to be the focal plot element. </3

-Several important antagonistic confrontations feels like they lack buildup and/or are resolved in basically a single scene. This is better at the beginning and more apparent towards the end so at times it felt like instead of building the plot they were shoving it forward with a small jump scare before smacking it concluded with a fly swatter. Q_Q Specific spoiler comparisons: 1. Goat demon- brief but fleshed out reasoning tied in the seller and supported the plot set up. 2. MC's dad: sets up the back story for MC well but my dude WHAT? No explanation for how he went from regular abusive human to being corrupted by dark rituals. Suddenly the reason MC takes well to cultivation is his mom but somehow she was powerless to protect herself? I honestly would have liked to have had a more concrete death scene for her to make the conclusion of the soul shard less abrupt.

-The best friend's growth is SO rushed it was like he changed faces. His feelings were intense and the time skip was reasonable but cut out the screentime to give his change realism.
