Above the firmament, a giant Kun, stretching thousands of meters long, flew over the city, ignoring the barrage of missiles.

In Australia, an apocalyptic serpent, thousands of meters long, destroyed cities and devoured millions, leaving slowly after the detonation of several nuclear bombs.

In this perilous world, Chen Chu, who unexpectedly acquired the avatar of a six-horned salamander, felt somewhat bewildered.

What could a palm-sized salamander do? Record videos to gain traffic? Catch shrimps in a creek? Or… evolve into a colossal beast?

A six-horned salamander, also known as the six-horned dragon, with the ability of infinite evolution, was gradually evolving into a mythical apocalyptic beast.

Its body length extended to hundreds, thousands, and even tens of thousands of meters…

And with the characteristic of synchronized enhancement, Chen Chu’s own body also grew stronger, with increasing power and speed, and even…

Hard to take reviews seriously when they say "doesn't simp..." As if they're deathly afraid to show any interest in anyone ever or being kind shows how "unmanly" you are. As you might expect, the normal cliche of "I'm not yet strong enough, I'm not yet an adult, I'm not yet..." It has some truth to it, but it also reeks of the mindset of simply not knowing how or brave enough to interact with women. The author either doesn't know how to write romance, or has no interest.

The MC... more>> being "extremely relatable" is an odd take. He basically interacts with no one unless someone else takes the first move. Any given moment, he's usually spaced out using the randomly added lizard "pet" to eat and make both it and himself stronger.

The novel makes some pretty weak arguments; "Certainly, in any world, true strength held significant power. The ability to cultivate true martial arts and attain personal strength through one's own efforts was undoubtedly the ideal path. But having no innate talent in cultivation was simply a reality, and there was no need to force it. In this world, there were still opportunities for success in various fields beyond cultivation."

Look, you can't afford the high quality steak and lobster combo, but, you can still eat the dog food we have on standby—who wants to be a "normal" person in a world of cultivation? A culture that is prone to abusing people who can't defend themselves and in a world where seemingly mythical beasts rampage?

" In this world, the concept of the weak prevailing over the strong was non-existent. The strong defeated the weak, and winning signified that you were more powerful than your opponent. Even among the reputed geniuses in the cultivation world, who could engage in battles transcending multiple realms, such victories merely indicated that their momentary power surge or current secret arts were stronger than their adversaries'."

The quote defeats itself...

The cultivation in this novel is... quite weak. Modern day guns and explosives are still being used heavily to significant extent. Furthermore, it's not really an apocalypse at all by chapter 69. Lastly, it really needs a sci-fi tag at this point... <<less

At the time of this review: Ch. 124

I'm currently reading multiple novels across various platforms, and this one is by far one of my favorites. The MC is extremely relatable, doesn't simp for any side characters, and his decisions don't frustrate the readers—there's actual logic behind them.

The story is progressing at a good pace. It doesn't feel too rushed or too slow. My only drawback, if I could call it one, is that there aren't a lot of chapters available to read right now. I want more but am unwilling... more>> to become a 'Champion' of any novel.

I'm currently anticipating the new evolution hinted at in the chapter title. <<less
