You Ye started acting at the age of 12, praised by the media as a “genius experiential actor,” with no role he couldn’t master.

For You Ye, acting was life itself, but on his 27th birthday, he encountered an accident on his way to the film set.

On the brink of death, the birthday song and the cold voice of the system echoed—

“Welcome to the [Patient Interpretation] system.”

“Only by perfectly interpreting the role of the [patient] in each world and gaining the approval of the behind-the-scenes director can you regain your life.”

“We regret to inform you that the director randomly matched to you is quite perverse; no one has successfully navigated his storyline to date.”

You Ye felt no turmoil within, even laughing: “I also regret to inform this director that his record is about to be broken.”

Thus, he perfectly portrayed the “sickly vase artist craving human blood,” the “defective robot that cries when touched,” and the “psychiatrist searching for his missing second personality”…

He was both an actor and a patient.

He brought to life the contradictory yet captivating roles with great flair.

In a parallel world, You Ye died in an accident eighteen years ago.

After his death, he worked in the quick-transmigration world, personally building the [Patient Interpretation] system, code-named 202.

Only by encountering an actor who belongs to him, perfectly interpreting the roles he set, can 202 return to the past, erase regrets, and fulfill wishes.

202 waited for eighteen years and finally met his chosen actor on his birthday.

But he did not know the other’s identity—another version of himself from a parallel world.

202 made a cameo in the script, meeting himself in different worlds, performing together.

Then they fell in love and revealed their true selves.

You Ye: Sorry, I’m a bit narcissistic.

202: What a coincidence, so am I.

Contrary to the synopsis and the feeling of the first arc, it's a very short novel. You get the feeling the author intended for it to be longer but struggled with it and decided to shorten it.

Even so, it's pretty good as is. I enjoyed the characters and the arc stories were pretty good. The novel focuses more on the relationship between MC and ML.

The ending was satisfying and didn't feel too rushed.
