f*ck, the woman next door dared to be so disgusting, ah! Memeda! Memeda your sister, ah!
Your whole family are memeda, ah! Who will collect her from MD, ah!
Ling Xiao Xiao roared, afterwards she miserably completely discovered—
That she was the one that collected memeda, ah…. T_T

**memeda is the cuter way of saying muah, the kissing sounds.

I really like this short story, it was very sweet and the ending wasn't abrupt compared to the other novels I translated. This ending was very satisfying and gave me closure.

The story uses alot of Chinese online writing terminology and chatting jokes, but I enjoyed it.

About a bent writer who bends her loyal reader...

This one had been in my plan to read list for quite a while. I tried picking it up months back, felt confused by the first chapter, so I returned it back to the plan to read to try again. Here, I finally tried it again:

The main character of this story is Ling Xiao Xiao, a writer who is cold on the forums and (supposedly) funny in person. Meanwhile, the main love interest is Jiang Shuang, a voice actor who is taking on some flirty roles but is quite shy... more>> in person, which is why she has this line of saying "memeda!" which can be heard through the walls of their shared apartment.

Unfortunately, this novel was a fight to get through. I wish I could say differently, but there were things about it that were not grasping me.

Starters, I don't like the age gap. Ling Xiao Xiao is said to be twenty-six, and Jiang Shuang is said to be a freshman, so I can assume anywhere from eighteen to twenty, but probably no older than twenty-one. While it's not a big gap in numbers, for me it's how one is starting college, and the other is finishing it; they're at two different points of life. And it's quite obvious in their actions. It would be different Jiang Shuang acted mature, but she still feels kind of childish, and Ling Xiao Xiao crushes on her a lot. Left a strange taste in my mouth. Additionally, they had this power scale. It felt like Jiang Shuang felt obligated to do things for Ling Xiao Xiao because she loved her as a writer.

There's this trauma that Jiang Shuang has with her family, and it feels as if the author created it while they were writing to come up with something to make Jiang Shuang vulnerable about so Ling Xiao Xiao could coax her. I wasn't a fan of that either.

For me, at least, Jiang Shuang did not really seem to like Ling Xiao Xiao. Only her writing. She only seemed to get with her to get away from her online friend who confessed to her. Like, "Ah, she confessed to me too! Well, let me accept the confession from Ling Xiao Xiao, so I don't have to accept the confession from this one!"

The translation was a bit confusing too. It had a lot of Chinese terms in it that translate to nonsense in English, and the author would put in explanation notes. This I had no problem with! Like, yes, please! Explain! I love to read explanations and notes of such, but there were so many that it broke the reading flow.

I felt nothing for the pairing. It felt forced to put them together. The story was hard to understand. Ask me what it was about: the summary would be awful. <<less

Cute and fluffy just the way I like my yuri :)

A nice short read with lots of Chinese internet jargon but the translator did a fantastic job explaining it all so I never felt lost.

Some parts were confusing for me cuz of the unfamiliar terms and the missed in translations jokes that didn't quite come across smoothly but overall this was a cute story. 5/5 for Yuri

4.5 but I'll give it 5 because this is yuri! This so cute and fluffy! This story would be really confusing if the translator didn't explain every Jargons. The story is simple, but I enjoyed it a lot. I had a good laugh because of the s*upidness ?
