He partially blames himself for the slander he suffered for reasons I really don't understand. He decides to "move forward" by forgiving and forgetting the terrible things done to him, including the girl that called him a mol*ster because she wanted attention.

And to top it all off, the wicked step-mother seems to understand the rumors are false, but is upset because she gets teased at some sort of neighborhood ladies club. She goes from treating her step-son like garbage, to deep emotional regret (shaking and crying) over the course of one conversation.

The good part is the author paints a clear image that can help draw you in. The writing is actually pretty good, but without any character development the characters seem to act irrationally. <<less

This is a really good read. I can't count how many times I cried reading this.

MC had a traumatic past which led him to kill his emotions which was slowly healed by the FMC who had a similar past.

MC always blames himself for whatever happened with him in the past which is natural to happen. I see many comments here complaining about MC forgiving or reconciling with the people who harmed him in the past but I can't see what's wrong with that. Although what they did terrible things to... more>> him but later on they really regretted their actions.

btw I still hate the girl who accused him of s*xual harrassment just for some attention

Hmm it is decent. It is good in early chapters but as the story goes on it got a bit boring. Sometimes the translation for this novel is kinda bad but it is still readable, the contrast between the gloomy situations and then suddenly sunny is weird.. The MC kinda gets on my nerves sometimes. And the side characters in this uhh just.. Some are blands. All in all just decent heartwarming story. Imma give 3* bcus I enjoy it a little

Honestly I've seen this "traumatized and betrayed by misunderstandings but now they wallow in regret" WNs so much that it should be classified with its own genre like Isekai at this point. It's all feels so formulaic after you have already read stuff like Girls Who Traumatized Me.

But enough about that, this was actually fun to read. Set aside how generic and cartoonishly bad they have to make the other characters be in these types of novel, this was a solid and enjoyable romance read for me. Main couple and... more>> their interaction was just charming and very wholesome to read through.

So yeah main couple carries it hard and why I rated it higher despite my complaints about the "genre" <<less

Its really great im glad I found this one my real rating of star of this novel is 5/5 this novel made my unreleased sadness and anger burst into tears im looking forward for new volumes I wish I have so many money so that I can donate to you but sadly im poor but im praying this manga go to the people who can appreciate this work of masterpiece.

So the author has a strange writing style which is hard to translate. He writes the story in way that contains a lot of thoughts while a conversation or even a day is going on. It's hard to keep track especially when he also inserts some random 3rd person sentences.

For the overall story:

The beginning ~15 chapters were captivating, however the "resolution" from it felt way too flat for me. The author introduced a lot of side characters but fro some reason after 15 chapters there is no longer any true... more>> interaction with them and we focus on the MC + fMC, who have a wholesome relationship after that point.

Honestly this works really well as a short story if you stop at around ch 20. <<less

Well, the story is interesting. It's basically about two people who got hurt too much in the past overcoming it with the help of each other. The initial chapters are really tragic and painful to read but as the story progresses, the tone gets changed to more positive slice of life type.

The translation quality is terrible but if you have experience with deepl translation and mtl reading, it's not that difficult to understand. Still I'm thankful for the try.

its a great novel that the heroine tries to change the depressed MC. All I can say this is heartwarming novel, its fun to read like u can feel the MC's feeling through chapters as he getting loved/comforted by the heroine which made me feel quiet jealous. Anyways I really recomended this novel to u guys.
