“The ginseng from Nagada in the Northeast is incredibly delicious.”

“In Nagada in the Northeast, there’s a person named Cui Hua who loves to eat pickled vegetables.”

“In Nagada in the Northeast, there’s a famous dish called ‘Pork Stew with Noodles.'”

“In Nagada in the Northeast…”

So, the newly-born Shu Xun decided to make a home in the Northeast. But Shu Xun, who had just learned to dig, accidentally dug into a strange place.

Shu Xun: (O_O)?

The general, who had been away on a business trip for a long time, finally returned home, but he realized that there seemed to be mice in his house.

After a series of battles of wits, he finally caught a chubby little mouse, and the little mouse boldly spoke up.

“I warn you, let me go quickly, or I’ll make you cry with one swipe of my paw…” Blah blah blah~

The general, who was unbeatable in the interstellar battlefield: (⊙▽⊙)???

My recommendation is "don't read reviews, including mine." It's a great and beautifully written novel, with no disgusting mindsets or any discrimination or anything you will find disturbing. Definitely not a novel that will waste your time.

And for people who still aren't and keep on reading this review, ok this is a full review. XD

I'm gonna be honest. The story isn't what I expected it to be from the title nd synopsis. But I still like it anyway. Plus, the synopsis isn't just a click bait. That scene really happens,... more>> just not at the first volume of the novel. (The novel is divided into 4 volumes. And I thought that's for the best.

The story has a lot of fluffs and cute moments tho, but yeah if you expect to read a daily life of mouse who surprises interstellar people every day by seeking treasure, that's not it

He does surprise interstellar people and shows his cuteness tho

More accurate synopsis might be:

This is a story of a mouse who time-travels into interstellar age nd then warps to many worlds (or planets) through gaming pod, teams up with interesting people, and slowly solves a large-scale mysteries of the universe while rescuing people in each planet. And yeah while interstellar people watching him doing all these through a livestream

As for an abandoned child tag, actlly u will know the reason in the first few chapters and it is logical (altho a little heart ache). If you want to know first:

Spoiler

MC was born with time and space-travelling skill so his parents have to let him get used to living alone before the skill is triggered. Once the skill is triggered, he will be warped to unknown place alone and may not survive otherwise.

His parents dont explain the reason of abandonment to him cuz if he is aware of his skill, the skill will be triggered immediately.

[collapse]

Will the MC meets his family again?

Spoiler

Sadly no, not even in an extra. I think this is the only thing I dont like in this novel. : (

[collapse]

According to some reviews, there are a lot of explanation and ramble in this book, is it true?

Well, yes and no. I think it depends on perspectives. This novel is quite deep and you may lose track of the conversation easily if u arent focused. You also have to think along the way. That may not be for everyone, and it's totally fine. It's just a preferences. I still want you to try and see it yourself tho.

What about plotholes?

To be honest, I don't find plotholes in it. Everything is very logical too, and the author have an answer to everything. Nothing left unanswered for me, It's just that you have to finish the whole story to find all the answers. There are many times I thought something won't be explained, but there is an explanation for it in the end. So just be patient.

For people who are worried about MC's age and not sure if there is g*ooming element in this novel, Don't worry! The author found a way to avoid that from happening.

As for translation: I would rate 4.5/5 for it. The 0.5 is just because there are some slips at times like using "she" for the MC in some chapters (not that much tho). Overall, thank you for the hard work of translation <<less

Very different from the description and tags.

You would expect something cute, soft-fantasy with interstellar, fluffy, maybe some face-slapping, sugary romance, and some war or conflicts on the side.

No.

... more>> It's an interstellar setting mixed with dimensional travel, cultivation, demon spirits, genetic manipulation, and other somewhat mismatched settings.

Secondly, it's quite focused on virtual survival game playing/live-streaming.

And MC is basically a child for quite a long time.

I won't rate it because I was baited into it, I'll only say that there are massive info dumps and severe logical errors.

The author herself admits that certain things make limited sense because she writes "according to her heart", which seems to be her explanation for errors/inconsistencies.

She knows why she wrote it, how it fits together, how it makes sense, but didn't bother to write it into the novel. But it's definitely all logical, trust me, dude.

Chinese readers pointed out many more plot holes later in the novel, I dropped it in the middle and can't say how big they are.

I leave this here for people who might have very different expectations from reading the description and tags, it really isn't anywhere close to what the novel is actually about.

If you want to read it, go in with the right expectations. <<less

eh. The initial world building is kinda funky and unbelievable, and the novel kind of falls flat for me. I'm dropping it at c 121, but maybe i'll come back to it. Wasnt too bad.

80% of the novel is MC explaining the plot and whats going on though. He'll walk through a meadow with the group and then somehow explain like 5 different things this meadow means and the clues in it-

and then do that every chapter. All the time. Constantly.

I really like it so far! It's funny, mysterious, and interesting!

Very cute treasure seeking mouse MC x General ML. MC is a cultivator spirit and ML is a General from the Interstellar era.

The cold, indifferent ML is very satisfied with the cute little guy he picked up (literally) from the moment they meet. Speaking of which, they had a very... interesting... first meeting, hahaha. The ML is soft and considerate towards the MC from the start of their interactions, and the MC is also very considerate despite not quite understanding... more>> how to read the ML's poker face.

I was not expecting this novel to have survival/mystery instances like an Unlimited Flow novel (except it's in a game world).

If you like SCP-3799, A Short History of Snowfall, you'll probably like the (first? unsure if it's the only one) survival game instance. It's mysterious and a little sad in the way SCPs tend to be.

Depending on what style of writing you like, you may find that the novel drags a bit, or you may enjoy the verbose vocabulary and word usage that adds details and descriptors.

Will continue to read and wait for the translation to finish :) <<less

Nothing exactly like the summary.

It's absolutely an Adventure Mystery Solving Novel. But the Mystery is not a small case thing, but an actual big World Universe kind of Mystery. About Clan and some World/Planet Consciousness. It was Mind-blowing in Heart felt emotions.

Sure I won't call this novel perfect. But in the end all the Mystery wrapped nicely. It was revealed Clear and Heartfelt. The mystery does not contain black or white nor gray area. It's just how it is...

... more>> The world work in mysterious and miraculous way.

I truly Love our MC and ML and the people they end up meet and go Adventure with. (I want to say 'work with', but with how the story goes and end, 'work' definitely not the right way)

It doesn't have Team'Work', but it has Group Adventuring together. And it was really Good!

Our MC is Cute and absolutely Genius Savage, while our ML is passionate inside but expressionless outside. Cold ok appearance but absolutely Lovely and Softy toward MC.

Them getting together was such as Smooth as River Flows and Oxygen. It's Natural. ❤️

Anyway while it's not perfect, I still absolutely LOVING IT and Happy enough. <<less
