Rumor has it that the Ghost King Chi Huo has a hobby of raising fish, and fish raised by him can be seen everywhere in the cultivation world.

From his royal corpse puppet to the leader of the Flower Immortal Sect of the High Mountains, they are all men who have loved him.

One Day, Sea King Chi Huo capsized.

The men who had been sailed by him rallied to kill him, crushing him to ashes, marking the fall of the Sea King.

After his death, Chi Huo’s consciousness awakened and realized that he was the Sea King villain in a danmei novel. The romance he thought before was just the fate of being forced to follow the plot.

The so-called Sea King was just a fish in the eyes of Heaven, and will eventually be wiped out.

Later, he was reborn as a young swordsman a hundred years ago, where he met himself who was about to capture his first fish.

Big Chi Huo: Let go of this fish.

Small Chi Huo: I can let him go, but you must stay.

Big Chi Huo: Little brat, these tricks of yours to tease men are all leftovers from me.

Chi Huo lives a new life and wants to fill up the sea with his own hands for the him of a hundred years ago.

[Pseudo Sea King Small Chi Huo (gong) x True Fish Master Big Chi Huo (shou)]

Cultivation levels: Qi Refining stage → Foundation Building stage → Golden Core stage → Nascent Soul stage → Transformation stage → Integration stage → Mahayana stage → Ascension stage]

[T/n: The “Sea King” here refers to something like playboy, someone who has ambiguous affairs but not any stable relationships. The “fish” here are the people he had affairs with, aka his lovers (or whatever you wanna call them). And well, raising/catching fish means having an affair. So yeah, the fish farming here isn’t to be taken literally, it’s an internet slang.]

Self-cest novel essentially.

Chi Huo is definitely narcissistic since he can only fall for himself 👌 as said by one of the ‘fish’ in his pond.

In any case, I think I actually like the ML, Ghost King aka his younger version’s self, more than his older version aka MC. Idk, he’s just kinda fun and I felt the same way when the MC said he was reluctant to part with the ML.

The og protagonist Xiao Guo’s hostility towards MC being a love rival was fun and I wish it lasted longer... more>> but ah well, I don’t have anything against him, he’s pretty chill.

Everytime the ML appears in front of Shi Wuzheng (MC’s master) is so funny gosh, the way his eyebrows would violently twitch due to the ML’s arrival always makes me laugh.

I like how MC would like to reveal himself but isn’t allowed too but can give out a lot of hints, and act like one of the sketchiest existence and threat towards the ML but also have enough reasons so that the ML can’t kill him off instantly. <<less
