This is actually my first time liking a story and it completely betrayed my expectations but in a good way. The trope is pretty common, even for transmigration to a side character like the maid here but the style of writing is unlike anything else. It's pretty good, something that you can read with intent.

The story's setting makes sense to a certain degree. As of Chapter 58 there is little to zero presence of adults barring the supporting characters, but considering the the focus of this story does not appear to be fantasy, but rather the yuri slice of life, it is... fitting.

There are some questionable things regarding the protagonists, of which two bothers me the most being (1) the nonchalance of being isekai'd into a body of the opposite gender, and (2) the abysmal lack of the protagonist's knowlegde of cooking.

For what it's... more>> worth, the latter "weakness" was used as fuel to bond together with the other characters, but I find it very shocking (to say the least) how one would ever mistake "white powder" (sugar) for salt, and "black pieces" (chocolate) for black pepper in a cookie recipe.

Having said that, while I wouldn't say this novel is a masterpiece, I would say it is a decent read to pass the time. (I wouldn't have written this review with four stars otherwise.) <<less
