Probably one of the better slow paced slice of life novels out there, with a decent reason to use the genderbending trope, and great livestreaming moments with chat reactions which I'm always a sucker for.

Basically a dude who was serious and hard working/studious all his life suddenly wakes up in a parallel world where everything is the exact same except for one fact, he was born as a girl in this world.

His memories blend with his female versions memories, along with both their personalities and talents. Due to being born... more>> as a girl in this world, due to the butterfly effect; her personality, life experiences, and friends are vastly different. She's an obsessed Otaku who stays home most of the time and draws art.

Due to the merged personalities/talents/memories, instead of being 2 separate identities of 21 years old, she now feels like a 42 year old who's had many vast experiences in a 21 yr old body, and can switch between male and female traits/personality/way of acting or talking, but it has been said the male versions mind is more dominant like 99% of the time and only uses the female personality to act as a girl when necessary due to the male versions hard working serious nature and life experiences, so the male version basically took control which is why it's genderbent

Thankfully it's been hinted both male and female versions of him were kinda as*xual so I don't think there's ever going to be romance, or drama with conflicting sexualities.

Add onto the fact that the first arc is her trying out in a competition for the first generation of what is essentially Korean hololive, if you love vtubers, this is a for sure read.

Only downside is that the translator is Kari studio who are known to likely just use ai to translate mtl, heavily edit and proofread the first few chapters, then let the quality take a nosedive, with wrong pronouns, names, missing characters and some nonsense sentences. Plus for an edited mtl, updates take forever and advanced patreon chapters are expensive <<less

Fun 🤩

guy gets transmigrated into a girl’s body but interesting enough, they’re still in the same world/timeline. MC gets a two in one deal where they get the abilities and benefits of both souls.

MC decided to become a vtuber which made the most of their interests/skills. And they’re doing pretty well too.

This is a great novel. It is nice to read, with fun character interactions and a nice, light-hearted atmosphere. Normally I don't like gender bender, but here it is well made. No forming a harem by using their identity as a girl. And it is nice how she isn't annoyingly shy or h**ny and just treats her female friends like a normal girl would treat her friends.

However there is a minus for some things.

1. Viewers constantly ask the protagonist if she has a boyfriend and act like she is not allowed to be in love because she is a streamer, which is disgustingly possessive. Even with well behaved viewers it is suggested being in a relationship is absolutely taboo and it may even be part of the contract. The Vtubers I know openly have boyfriends and talk about their love experience and only brain dead incels take issue with that, but not normal viewers. As such the company and viewers seem to be toxic.

2. The the viewers act like normal people, but everyone acts like they are problematic and viewers are only allowed to sing hymns of praise for their streamers and not allowed to talk like normal people. The protagonist says "f*ck" once in a collab and people act like she said the N-word. Even elementary schoolers use more mature language.

3. She overreacts way too much about her cousins dying their hair and one of them having air piercings. Once she finds out about it she constantly talks about she has to bring them back on "the right path" and how they are gonna ruin their future. She acts like the only logical conclusion after dying your hair is becoming a drug dealer or joining a gang. If she saw someone with a tattoo she would probably call the police, because in her world view having a tattoo is proof you are a serial killer who escaped prison. The author must be ultra conservative and see anyone who doesn't not follow their world view as a criminal.

4. (But less of an issue as this is sort of a wish-fulfillment novel) even for a light-hearted novel like this everything goes too smoothly for the MC. Like she goes to a normal place and someone happens to know a talented and famous person and arranges for them to work together. Or she plays a game with a random other person per random teams in an online game and the other person happens to be someone with millions of fans.

The translation:

It started out 5/5, but has steadily declined. By now it is 3.5-4/5. For example every time a viewer in chat refers to the protagonist they say "he". It used to be she. Or every time the protagonist refers to her father she just says/thinks "Manager Kim", which is very weird.

Facit: It is basically a great novel, but the behavior of people is sometimes weird. Either the issue lies with the novel or the Korean internet has a incel culture where everyone is supposed to pretend the world is all smiles and sunshine. Also the translator needs to stop slacking off and concentrate on making less mistakes.

Probably the most entertaining novel about streaming that I've read so far.

The MC's personality really fits a streamer (perhaps more typical for male streamers, but it works out) and the content and banter with the chat are actually enjoyable.

She has a bunch of protagonist cheats in being multi-talented, but has somewhat shameless confidence because she can evaluate herself through the lens of her life as a man. Of course this is written really well in a way that increases her likability rather than reducing it.

Comparing it to "I want to... more>> be a VTuber" and "Hobbyist VTuber", this leans considerably more towards the actual VTuber streaming activities, and her career in that direction is covered in much greater detail. However, she does progress separately both as her real persona as well as her virtual one, and there is an acting arc coming up.

It just isn't the main focus, and I honestly hope that the stream content will continue playing a major role because of how well it's written and how entertaining it is.

Her flawless looks and other talents seem to foreshadow a major red-pill event, so I'm looking forward to that, but I hope it doesn't come too soon because I'm enjoying the current pace a lot. <<less

This story is pretty good so far, I personally like the characters and their personality the most out of every thing how the MC interacts with chat is also very funny but not all that unrealistic either.

The Gender bender side of things is done really well in a way I have never seen before the MC doesn't dwell on it for too long before adapting so it isn't all that annoying when referenced because the main focus is more the differences between things in there life and the different path... more>> that they took as a female compared to when they were a male instead of what they had in their pants.

I slice of life is well done as well and the story progress is neither to slow or to fast.

There doesn't seem to be any romance as far as I can tell and honestly I highly doubt there will be much if any romance.

So I highly recommend reading it! <<less
