Wu Han Ying does not know why a bunch of people were following him around shouting sister-in-law.

Xia Chen does not know why he begins to like the existence of this obedient Little Wudang, who is sometimes a bit silly as well.

Being followed and being called Sister-in-law, Little Wudang could not stand it anymore and retorted, “I’m a man.”

Lao Da (Boss) confessed, Sister-in-law (Sao Zi) ran away, so Lao Da is going crazy.

Guild Member 1: Sister-in-law, please come back, Lao Da doesn’t mind that you’re a ladyboy! (ladyboy – a male that plays a female character in game)

Guild Member 2: Pei Pei Pei, ladyboy your ass! Dare to call my sister-in-law as ladyboy, come to Yan Nan* (A place’s name, where players use for PVP)

Guild Members: …

Little Wudang thought to himself, you can’t blame me for disappearing, it’s because the school internet got disconnected.

A touching story between two people with troubles at home and that came to love one another for the reason that they didn't think the other was annoying.

I enjoyed it and thought the translation was fairly good.

Starts out a bit boring, but gets really funny and cute at the end.

Characters and moments can get confusing, but the plot isn't difficult to follow.

MC and ML are cute together. MC isn't absolutely passive like other MCs. The romance progresses well.

Initially felt kinda meh towards it, but at the end I was smiling really hard.

Fluffy, adorable, sweet, cute, squeal inducing.. You name it. I enjoy this novel very much for its funny characters. Nothing too serious and a happy ending. It is suitable for light reading for those who are stressed and in need for a happy time or cooldown time from angsty novel. A Lot of online game activities (I think I am an online game expert now???) here. So if you just look for some romantic and smutty action, this may not be your cup of tea.

The seme? PERFECT and DOMINEERING

the... more>> uke? INNOCENT and SHY

WARNING. Need to read this carefully cause there are many chinese internet slang and differentt chatroom dialogues at tge same time so you need to take note of the chatrooms name. <<less

Its a really cute slice of life novel with a lot of game elements (well the series is based on an online game >.>)

The MC is a cuttie...
Spoiler

the only problem is that this novel has no comflict.... like everything the MC would have ever wanted and more are all given to him by the ML after like 5 days of knowing him in real life.... other than that its a light read

We need more Yaoi, and I feel that this novel is a great way to initiate new readers into this genre. Its not all that explicit, and the romance goes at a steady pace. You will find yourself in more than one fluffy situation that makes you go, "Awwwww~ <3"

At first glance, this seems like a parody of A Slight Smile, and various other lesser gaming/online dating series which followed. A talented guy randomly latching onto an innocent gamer for some reason only he knows, with various side characters jumping on their ship despite minimal interaction and almost no conversation between the two leads.

On second glance, parodies are supposed to be funny....

It's not a bad idea, but the story (or rather excerpts from some random chat hastily pasted together) is rather messy with random characters jumping in everywhere... more>> making inside jokes, that neither the MC or the reader can related to. The humour is probably meant to bypass the MC but it seems to miss the target more often than not for me, and the writing style and conversations are as dry and forced as something written by Mo Bao Fei Bao.

That being said, the MC seems cute, and if you're able to follow the random developments and find the story more amusing then I did, then it's still just a nice but forgettable series. But for me, even parodies should be a decent story first, before they're a punch line. <<less

edit: it's December 27th 2022 and I've read this novel for the 4th time. Truly a gem and will always be dear to my heart. As soon as break from school started, this was the novel I was itching to read!! Xia Chen and Wu Han Ying deserve to live happily ever after, wishing them a harmonious married life 💗

As someone who has read this book not once, not twice but THREE TIMES!!!! I can guaranteed, it's in my top 3 bl esports novel list!!! Everything is perfect about... more>> this novel, the plot pace, character development, interactions between main and side characters, *chefs kiss* perfect!!!

I love Professor Xia and our innocent little uke, Wu Han Ying!!! He's so adorable and Professor Xia is such a doting husband I loved it!! I pretty much re-read it once I forget the small points of the plot (which is why I've read it three times so far in the past two years!!) but honestly it's just that amazing!!! Also, our little snowball Xia Shang (Professor Xia's little nephew) ahhh adorable!!

please read this novel and give it a shot!! I wish there were more scenes in this book, like Professor Xia and Wu Han Ying adopting a bun to raise ahhh <<less

I feel very disheartened by a lot of the reviews left by other readers :d

I rate this novel a solid 4 stars, but it's not for any specific reason or flaw within the story. Love You 59 seconds is a cinderella-story and there is no angst, dog-blood, and any of your typical story structure here. The characters aren't complex and super compelling but they're still quite lovable. The ML is your second-gen, handsome and affectionate top. He and the MC have a loving relationship and the game-based (MMORPG) aspect isn't... more>> overly complicated, but having some knowledge of MMORPGs are recommended imo (there are a few references to gaming terms and scenarios and such that really need personal experience and context to undestand fully). If not for the fact that the story is a tad-bit underdeveloped with it's direction and characters, I probably would've rated it higher. I'm usually generous with my ratings but for a few general reasons that I can't be bothered to diverge into (I'm a lazy pos), I feel that if there is such a thing as a figurative threshold for what I'm willing to rate 5-stars, this novel just doesn't quite make it there. I don't regret reading this novel because it's wholesome (wow, great use of vocabulary, you imbecile.) and I'm just a sucker for gaming-related novels (being the degenerate "gamer" that I am, lmao). So, while I could list what everyone else addresses better than I can, I want to assure my guarantee that anyone who isn't looking for the next 'SAYE' or 'A Certain Someone' level of writing (+it's not like the author is gonna be able to write and fit as much development as you literary connoisseurs expect within just 69 chapter ^^;) will be able to enjoy the simple fluff. Not everything needs to be written so intricately for people to enjoy it (*cough* *cough* those of you who discouraged other people from reading this just-as-worthwhile novel!) Lower your standards or just don't read this novel if you are wanting something very stimulating or heart-wrenching. The simplicity of the story is inherently a fault but it is still a perfectly valid novel and excellent remedy for those who have just gone through more emotionally turbulent novels hehe (*´꒳`*) <<less

It's good all in all however I have read in the reviews that it was slow burn but I didn't think it was that slow. They took so much time to go into a relationship then they were only together for a short amount of time and they were already at third base and talking about marriage. It feels as though the last few chapters were rushed.

Thumbs up to the translator though, nice translation and a lot of notes that really helped me understand what they were talking about.

(ㆁωㆁ) Likeable, very likable for what it is: a light-weighted plot story. But for the other stuff that happened and mostly what didn't happened didn't make me feel completely satisfied. Like for example; the mc's relatives, the EXTREMELY short courting to relationship (still very cute tho ngl♡ (ӦvӦ。)) and the fact that might have really bad if it wasn't was Xiao Chen Chen who to "got" to him first.

Ps: I must also admit that I got attracted here due to the name AND that it had 69 chapters lol (*˘︶˘*) ✨💖

Giving this novel full marks just because I enjoyed it so much. Especially the main character which is the shou; such an adorkable shou. I really couldn't stop laughing because of his actions, he is just the type of shou that is innocent (in his own way), obedient and definitely, cute. So many secondhand-embarrassment that made me feel in this novel. Just made me laugh almost non-stop. Obviously, an enjoyable novel.

Regarding the plot, it is simple and light. It is an E-sports tag novel so, watch out for the game... more>> terms but do not worry since the translators did a good job in explaining every term. They are very reliable so make sure to read each translator notes to avoid confusion.

Also, the first half of the novel, actually, almost the majority of the novel is all about the interaction of the main characters in the game and then it starts to get a bit fast-paced; once their feelings were known but at least we get a proper ending. <<less

Dropped at chapter 29. Either the story is really slow moving or it was overly focused on the game

Romance in the first half of the book (i.e what I read) is non-existent. MC and ML have barely met in the game, and although ML helps MC level up, there was very minimal interaction and hence almost zero relationship development. The front was game-heavy in the sense that it was focused on technicalities that weren't very interesting to me, unlike the other gaming BL that I have read thus far. Imo... more>> it was pretty boring... (I usually like reading gaming novels so this came as a surprise to me that I didn't like this story) <<less

This feels like a milder and worse version of Waiting for You Online.

Both of them have a lot of components in a game but this one was much harder to follow as a lot of it was spamming between people rather than things happening in the game. The main character also was very bland, he kind of just followed along through life, and although his relationship with his family was bad nothing really came from it, and also a lot of things just happened... it made for an all in... more>> all unsatisfying story. There were cute moments but it didn't quite fit with the story and all the hard work trying to understand the story didn't have the expected payout. Although it's not terrible, I would rather not have read this and no I would not recommend this to anyone else. <<less

This story is indeed lacking structure. But it is sort of a nice read, I guess. I finished it even though I wanted to dump it arround chapter 50.

I guess I finished it because I kept waiting for some major satisfing development, but it was just a small meah.

So my main issue with this novel is that when it needs to develop it just skips to the next part of the story.

Spoiler

like after the confession what happens?? The MC just accepts with little thought and moves on. Not much is discussed we just skip to the next day when also nothing happens. I really thought that I missed some paragraphs and reread the whole thing. Very unsatisfing

And also, the offline meeting -they just eat and the girls just squeal. No funny conversation. The MC is there just for props. I know that he is shy, but come on!!! Also very unsatisfing.

[collapse]

And when describing the other major events in the main couple relationship, we just get a few words and move on.

Not to speak of the side characters. They are just flat boards.

The conclusion is that this novel did not leave me with happy feels.

I read shorter stories with more description and depth.

It was sweeeeett! And fluff!

the identity p*rn was delicious skskksks I personally don't like smut so YAAY!

The game's description was kind of tedious but meh I knew what I was getting into, and it was a new experience. Plus most of the relationship building happened in game so I think it was good!

I reaally REALLY recommend it, it was so soft and nice aahhh

People are pretty lenient with their reviews and ratings (I am too so who am I to complain?). It's okay and pretty cute, nothing special. I like the fact that MC told ML that he was a dude early on, thank god that it didn't drag on. Plus points that there's actually girl characters who are likable, even if it was just two people.

It just annoys me that the MC's gaming skills didn't even improve through the story and he couldn't 'kill' or 'beat' anyone without ML's help. He could... more>> have at least try than hiding behind ML every. Goddamn. Time. Change the MC's gender to female and it wouldn't really affect anything other than the small gender dilemma lol. I was also taken back at how fast time went in the last chapters since it started off decently slow.

Love You 59 Seconds is pretty similar to Waiting for you online, except without the mess of the emotional rollercoaster.
Spoiler

Both MC even had family problems.

[collapse]

Overall it's pretty nice. ML isn't r*pey, and since it has less than 100 chapters. I would still say it's worth a read if you have time to kill and wouldn't mind an 'innocent' and 's*upid' (not necessarily in a bad way) MC. <<less

This is one of the sweetest and fluffiest novel. There is fluff and nothing else. I actually almost dropped this because the first few chapters were really flat and slow. It gets better though, so don't give up!

The MC is an ordinary college student, straight-forward, honest, a lil bit slow-witted, shy yet embarrassing, but thankfully not the girly type.

Spoiler

And yes, he is honest. Even though he's using a female character to play, the only reason he didn't say anything in the beginning was simply because there was no reason to. He explain himself clearly before things get messy and anyone could feel cheated.

[collapse]

The ML is the so called Mensao. The type that looks cold on the outside but is burning with passion in the inside. He is a professor from the MC's university who is famous for his frosty temperament and godly appearance.

The plot is really smooth, you can see the slow development of their feelings and understand why they ended up liking each other. My cheeks actually got hurt from constantly smiling throughout the chapters.

The only minus points would be that the ending feels kind of rushed. The author actually had done many foreshadowing and teasing throughout the chapters, which is a pity because they didn't follow through it till the end. Many possible plot development were simpled out. It even somewhat feels like reading a sumary of a story in the later chapters.

The MC was originally slow, but still totally could live on his own just fine. After he got together with the ML, I guess ML's pampering made him went through character change and came off as a meek person who can't do anything on his own. It's cute and adorable for him to rely on ML, but I'd like to see him to stand his ground besides some of the author's attempts of sudden half-baked manliness at moments.

Spoiler

The ML found out about the MC's identity when MC sent a resume to apply for a job at ML's company. But when MC didn't raise any question about how the ML found him. The MC had yet to find out that the company he applied to was ML's even after they get together.

[collapse]

It's still totally worth reading though! I just got my hopes too high because it was really that great. Maybe the author didn't want the chapters to grow too big, but there aren't jarring plot holes despite the rushed ending. I would definitely recommend this for a light read ♥ <<less

I really like this novel. Usually, I read tragedy-angst stories, so these fluffy types stories are likely to cheer up my mood. It is a slow-paced romance story, romance is hard to notice at first but after reading it for a while, you will notice it.

It's like "Just one smile is very alluring" but with two male leads. Minus the fact that it's a male x make story, it doesn't need really impact the romance that much and just as good as JOSIVA. Humour is great.

Overall: Great story if you're by looking for something light and fluffy.
