This story is pretty boring all things considered. There isn't any drama to the story, so it has to lean on comedy, slice of life, and interesting characters, but it doesn't execute any of those well enough to justify the lack of any narrative goals or suspense. As of now, this seems to be a basic, average, simple yet mildly entertaining "reincarnated into a slow life" slice of life novel, with a bit of yandere bait and some trivia about cheap japanese sweets and products for children. And I have to say, the years of design, work and inovation put into them transformed separating children of their nickels into an art form, to the point I'm envious I lacked some of those as a kid. for me, this is enough for relaxing reading session when I don't need brain power for heavily political drama or family favoritism. I love that they included the products depicted/refferenced in novel.

A very entertaining slice-of-life Isekai with a novel concept. The yandere tag is deserved, sadly, but they (so far) have shown enough respect for the subject of their affections, as well as a moderate amount of restraint and self-control. I hope that plotline can be resolved soon, but all the other elements of the story are entertaining enough for me to rate it highly.

Ok so it's a super simple story. It's not super complex, story lines are finished immediately or just completely dropped. Like he mentions some treasure chest in a super secret room, and then it's never brought up again.

But, the translation is pretty good, it's still a fun simple read.

Woulda given it 4 stars but the ending was crap. Youre reading a chapter called epilogue and still the ending is so abrupt it's confusing.

Fun, easy to read, light-hearted story.

If his products were in a gacha game or mmorpg, they'd be borderline brokenly op and too cheap, but there's somehow no major impact in this story's world. Fortunately, it's not really something significant to the MC's own story.

As someone else mentioned, the MC benefits from a lot deus ex machina. That said, they're all properly foreshadowed. Furthermore, this is more of a light-hearted slice of life story rather than a hardcore action story, so it's not a big deal.

While the writing isn’t particularly revolutionary with some odd choices later down the line, and the (apparent) ending ultimately leaves a few characters and plot threads inconclusive, this is ultimately one of my favorite fluff works out there that I can’t help but respect for committing to the fluff. Drama doesn’t hang around for long, and the MC always has a solution to every issue almost like a deus ex machina, but each and every dagashi being a real-world snack makes every chapter surprisingly informative.
