Yu Wen suffers from emotional disorders, making him unable to respond to others’ emotions. Cold and rigid have always been synonymous with him. Yu Wen also believed he would never be cured. That was until he met Jin Wanshang.

The first time they met, Jin Wanshang gave him two bottles of water. The second time, Jin Wanshang witnessed him during an episode. Both times, Yu Wen was in his most embarrassing state and felt incredibly unlucky that someone had seen him like that.

However, Yu Wen found Jin Wanshang to be gentle, different from everyone else. So, when a prop was about to fall, Yu Wen unhesitatingly pushed Jin Wanshang away, injuring himself and ending up in the hospital for a week. After being discharged, he became Jin Wanshang’s assistant.

Due to a fan incident, Jin Wanshang faced unprecedented cyberbullying. Yu Wen wanted to comfort him. When he reached the window, he saw Jin Wanshang speaking to him through the smoke.

Jin Wanshang said, “Yu Wen, I am not gentle at all. That’s just my actor’s facade. On the contrary, I’ve been in trouble with the law, fought, got tattoos, and skipped school. Knowing this, do you still like me?”

Yu Wen walked through the smoke and stood before Jin Wanshang, expressionless and somewhat cold. “You have personality flaws, and I have emotional disorders. Isn’t that a perfect match?”

Jin Wanshang raised an eyebrow, extinguished his cigarette, and gave Yu Wen a long kiss while holding his neck.

Yu Wen’s condition will improve in the later stages.

Man I'm too early to these uploads I need moreeee. Am really liking it so far especially with the dynamics we'll see between the MC whos more expressionless with a traumatic past and ML whos seemingly kind to everyone but different behind closed doors. I see potential already since only 3 chapters have passed and we see that they're both interested in each other already.

since this barely has any reviews I thought I might write one.

Yu Wen has a soothing presence and tranquil aura, so I believe you can find a bit of comfort in his character. As the MC of the story, his character was well written. Please do appreciate my baby and his story of wooing the ML with his soup.

Now, here's the shortcomings. The ML's character although claiming that his gentle and kind self is merely a facade doesn't really behave otherwise. I'd have loved to see him engage in more... more>> rebellious and trouble-seeking shenanigans?

Now. As a short novel the plot was rushed. The ending was unsatisfactory. It's like the author was fed up and just wanted to finish it as soon as possible which to me is such a shame because the novel had so much potential.

That's why it gets a 3/5. Mostly because it was my 1st decent read after going through so many other novels. Yu wen and the general idea which piqued my interest but wasn't developed well. <<less

Despite the heavy emotional trauma the summary suggests, this novel was simple and straightforward, without twists and turns. With their less than ideal backgrounds, they met and fell in love. It’s as simple as that. It’s not a bad novel, but not an memorable one either.

A short and wholesome story. As someone with depression but not PTSD, the portrayal of the MC's emotional trauma seemed realistic, but the episodes were only briefly mentioned. The focus is still on the fluffy relationship between the MC and ML, and how they gradually (but overall still extremely quickly) became closer and more intimate. Despite the ML's self proclaimed bad and rebellious personality, he's truly a green flag toward the MC, extremely gentle and caring and always trying to find ways to help him while respecting his wishes. Feel... more>> like the story needed like 2-3 more chapters to make it truly conclusive, as the MC's emotional issues were basically just roughly solved with treatment and a time skip. Glad to see that they're recovered and happy at the end though. A basic fluffy romance, don't expect much more. <<less

I thought this was actually a pretty good portrayal of PTSD. Tranquilizers and stabilizers are an important part of ongoing treatment alongside controlled exposure and therapy. I have an anxiety disorder, and it still surprises me sometimes remembering we don't actually have to live suffering like that forever.

Short, sweet, and wholesome. Not a lot of angst other than the backstory, and the MCs episodes and trauma seem realistic and well-portrayed.
