It was a good read. There was no dog blood plot in the MC’s world itself that would make you gnash your teeth. The melon seeds/missions she had had satisfying endings, so that was good too.

A truly enjoyable and delicious feast of a novel. It's like a QT but with all the dishes gathering in a one big pot.. oh I meant with all the worlds of QT gathering in a one big world~

And it isn't just eating melons, but also roasting and grilling melons.. so many poisonous and harmful melons were burnt to crisp~

It can feel a bit repetitive but the end of the story paints the journey so beautifully~ I cried at the end of the main text *tears* 😭

FL & ML have their romance and HE... but the FL's friendships were the best in the story..

The main text ending feels a bit anti-climatic, but at the same time it gives the FL her freedom. And that's the price she has to pay. There are so many what ifs scenarios in this story, but I'm still happy with what the author has given out~

I did enjoy all the (plot-) roasting that was done. And it makes me think back on how I perceive all the readings I did in the past. Because definitely, all the terrible cliches and mary sues of these c-novels can be downright outrageous. 🫣

It's not a bad story. Focused on a Melon aka Gossip System with many different storylines and tropes. Tons of faceslapping and revenge themed storylines. Minimal romance. There is a ML for the FL Jiang Youtao but he's a sidestory and not the main focus.

Basic Storyline:

It's about a girl who went back in time with a Melon aka Gossip System but it's not really. Basically FL, Jiang Youtao transmigrated into a Big World. They call it that. Around this Big world, there are many similar Small Worlds or alternate universes.... more>> Several alternate universes or Small Worlds have collapsed and are now trying to be integrated into the Big World.

All this alternate universes or Small Worlds are from novels. JY's System will give her this novels to read and her task is to change things so that the original plot in those Universes will not occur so that the Small Worlds can be absorbed and integrated into the Big World. The reason why these alternate universes collapsed is because the original plot is usually very shitty.

So Jiang Youtao will encounter different heroines/heros or FL/ML of these worlds and either help them or cause them harm depending on whether they're good or bad.

JY has some help from the System but she's not OP. Also most of the time the incidences are resolved without her help. She gains points just by listening to the gossip surrounding those incidences too.

It's a pretty funny story with lots of random tropes being made fun of, and tons of faceslapping.

My only dislike is one of the arcs: A woman marries this frail man to repay the life-saving debt her father owed the frail man's father. She worked like a horse for that family but it turns out the frail man is gay and has in*estuous relationship with his younger brother. The confrontation scene had a bit of a homophobe vibe by the author tbh. It's as if author placed their own thoughts in the novel and it's gross. Also those diseases are transmitted equally by both straight/gay relationships and only gay relationships was stigmatized by it.

Quote from the novel I disliked: As everyone knows, the two-dimensional paper people in the aesthetics of Danmei have never been able to connect with gay men in reality. The love in Danmei is so delicious, and the majority of gay men in reality are so disgusting. Don't you see, many X diseases are transmitted by most gay men messing around with each other.

Other than that it's a good read. The ending is rather abrupt imo and some storylines didn't have a proper ending.

There was a special prison for those evil rebirth people or transmigrators and initially JY was part of their team but when her task was over it seems like the Big World erased their memories of her? But nothing is mentioned of what happens next. Felt like its a massive plothole.

It was also very hard to find the last extra in MTL. Last extra tried to finish everything up with lots of the side characters coming to meet JY again. <<less
