It's a pretty good novel, the main character starts off as the son of one of the most powerful family in the world, and his personal power and talent are top notch too. He's cold and calculating but not to the point of being completely unlikable. It's a pretty realistic depiction of a villain with power, who ab*ses it to get whatever he wants. The main focus of the story is mainly politics and scheming, and less on his personal power or the sons of luck who're mostly useless and... more>> unlikeable. If you're a fan of I am the Fated Villain I'd recommend giving this a try. <<less

Of all villain novels that I've seen, this is the most villainous. MC is actual megalomaniac supervillain who actively (although slowly) tries to take over the world. He wants power for power's sake, not as a means to some end, but as the end goal. And power is pretty much his only aspiration in life.

Which brings me to my biggest complaint. I don't like the MC. He is not likeable, he is not in the slightest relatable, he is not cool. The rest of the characters do not have enough... more>> presence to matter, but surely enough, everyone's is evil, profit oriented and miserable.

The pacing is odd. Protagonist hunting takes very little volume, in this novel they don't have a halo, no luck points and MC does not care about martial ethics. I deeply respect the fact that for once, MC go to strategy is not to sleep with every woman that protagonist likes, but there is no replacement. MC often offs leeks just as he meets them. Feels a bit bare boned. A lot of politics and intrigue, which gets pretty tiresome. <<less

The main character is not likeable, I don't mind villains but he's just evil for evil sake, his plans are filled with flaws despite being painted as a genius, he can obviously avoid a bunch of problems by manipulating the empire laws but he does the bare minimum as if he wants the entire world to know oh how evil he is.

His thugs are painted as extreme loyal, not listening to anyone but him but will still stop fighting when a random kid yells them to stop just... more>> for the sake of dragging the scene longer and showcase again how oh how evil he is.

It's so pathetic that I wouldn't even consider this as junk-food tier. Only if there's absolutely nothing else to read. <<less

Actually this novel is not bad at all in my opinion, it’s the typical wish fulfillment novel with an OP MC. This guy has the perfect background/talent from the start and will do whatever it takes to increase his power, even if he has to kill innocent civilians in the process, anything or anyone in his eyes are seen as just mere ‘tools’ or how much value they can bring him, that’s it. He’s a true villain.

I was doubtful with the first two reviews with such low ratings, they claimed... more>> the MC is not likable but isn’t that what a villain supposed to be? The title is literally ‘Perfect Villain’ and there is the ‘evil protagonist’ tag so I was confused, do you not know what evil means? I’d say the MC is exactly what the title describes, a perfect villain. He has OP power, a ridiculously powerful background, a legendary powerhouse dad, crazy loyal subordinates who willingly offer their lives as tools to serve him and he takes it for granted to use it for his advantage. If you read it from the other characters’ perspective, the MC is really f*cking evil. He’d be the type of character you would curse at in other novels with a hero protagonist as MC. If you can’t handle good/compassionate characters getting killed by MC then don’t bother to read lol

Though as expected of a wish fulfillment novel, it gets boring pretty fast and I’d say it’s a decent read if you have nothing else better to do and just want to pass the time. <<less

I've noticed a trend here, the novels where the MCs are real villains and genuinely bad always has the main focus of the stories being the so called protagonists. This story as well, the so called MC has maybe 1 chapter of screen time and then there are tens of chapters focusing on the "protagonists" only for the "MC" to show up at the end being OP, and just like the typical villains, does the minimal work to plan against the protags and only wins cause they're OP. The world... more>> seemed cool but I'm seriously not interested in reading a story about the rise of a character for 10+ chapters only for the so called MC to show up at the end and do the bare minimum before the author writes up another protag to focus the story on till the MC shows up for a chapter again later on

TL;DR: story focuses on protags and MC is just OP and is barely in the story <<less
