After dying in the modern world, I was reincarnated in a gender-reversed world.

“Ah, a demon! It’s a demon!!”

“Immediately! Execute-him!”

…with a very troublesome trait called Demon’s Blood.

Since everyone in the world wanted to kill me, I fled to the forest.

[Why is there a man here???]

[This is terrible… wowowow]

[Hnng… Oppa~aah…]

But… strange people keep coming to my forest.

The story is surprisingly good, and the gender-reversed setting is a clever move by the author. By reversing traditional gender roles instead of going for a gender-bender plot, the author avoids potential controversies or backlash from the fans, which is a smart choice. In this world, women hold the power typically associated with men, and that dynamic is key to the conflicts the MC faces. Many of the enemies he encounters are women, and some even have intentions of raping him, fitting with the reversed societal roles.

As for the story,... more>> it doesn't have a clear end goal yet. Instead, it focuses on the MC's survival and his ongoing struggle against having his body taken over by a demon. The MC himself is refreshing, he's rational, makes good decisions, and isn't your typical pe*verted or annoying protagonist. He's actually quite gentlemanly, despite living in seclusion.

The world-building is somewhat lacking at this point, and the power system hasn't been fully fleshed out yet. It seems like a standard fantasy setup but hasn't been explored in much detail. While the premise and material are solid, the execution of the story leaves something to be desired. There's a certain something missing in the writing that could elevate it, but it's hard to pinpoint exactly what.

Overall, I'd give it a 4.5/5. It has potential, and I'm still enjoying it so far. With stronger writing, it could definitely become something great.

PS. It's quite similar to 'I Became a Raid Boss' with the protagonist being an NPC and players from Earth playing the VR game, thus influencing the world with their actions. <<less

Good story with good characters. The only female lead introduced so far stands out for her kindness and empathy, and our seemingly cold and stoic protagonist has far more complex emotions bubbling inside him than your stereotypical "badass." This makes you pity him when he's down and it makes you look forward to when he reconnects with the female lead, as even simple small talk from her comforts him. The gender-reverse trope makes for interesting interactions, whether it simply be comedic moments, or even the more serious side of being... more>> "lesser" in a society of gender domination (r*pe culture, dehumanization, oversexualization), though it never really has an serious effect on the plot other than telling the MC that the Earth outside the game is not the one that he's from. Good read, would recommend. <<less

It's a good read, but it's difficult to empathize with the MC when he keeps accepting ab*se (better than a JP MC, but still lacking). He's been hunted for over 10 years, living like a savage and avoiding people who want to r*pe/kill him.

So... despite all that, why does he side with the people who want him dead (for the sin of existing) ? Even if he didn't trust other "Manifestors", it'd be rational to learn more about his abilities, how to use them or suppress them and whatnot... Hell,... more>> he could ask for some basic magic lessons so he could hide his brand, and finally live in society like he keeps pining for.

Spoiler

Or, he could accept his position as pseudo-nobility among his own people, as the cult suggested. Of course, they don't seem trustworthy long-term, but I doubt they'll fall out with a powerful Manifestor so early on. The dude can escape the circumstance he hates so much with a few words,

His strength should be enough to defeat (or at least, escape) anyone weaker than a Knight Captain (top 5 military officers, I think?) At that level, he has plenty of options-- he could just go to towns and escape when discovered, he could wage guerrilla warfare against the empire that wants him dead, secure a fake identity and live as an adventurer... Instead, he chooses to be a "Quest Giver" for a few female Players?

[collapse]

I just don't get it, man. He feels like a side character in his own story. <<less

Not rating this yet, but enjoying it so far. Tentative review is 4 or 5 stars.

Minor Spoiler:

Spoiler

The world MC is in is a real world with gender norms reversed (women taking the lead). First potential heroine is a streamer, seems like the world the "otherworlders" or game players come from is also reversed from our/MC's world.

[collapse]

If the story keeps up this well in the next 10 or so chapters I will probably rate it 5 stars. Translation is solid in my opinion.

Solid but pretty shallow for a gender-reversed world. It makes absolutely no changes to men and women beyond women now being the more forward and promiscuous gender. In other gender-reversals there usually have a strength gap like men are thinner or shorter than women but here they're still the dominant physical gender which would imply that the normal s*xual dynamics shouldn't change, no explanation is offered for the change in the s*xual market.

Anyway, most annoying thing are the translators who can't seem to f*cking comprehend what gender most side characters... more>> are. One knight commander went from being a man to a woman to being a homos*xual men chasing after men, makes a gender-reversal pretty bloody redundant if all the characters are gender-fluid according to the translator. <<less

"Everything eventually evolves into a stealth archer." -Skyrim proverb.

Anyways, Yor is a reincarnated individual who has Demon Blood. Once a month, Yor enters a berserk state that can destroy his surroundings. The people of his world, wary of demons, do the only thing medieval villagers did, and tried to kill him. Yor escapes, and now lives alone in the woods. Years later, the world he lives in becomes the playground of another world.

I enjoyed the first ten chapters, but I don't know what is the end goal of this story.... more>> Is Yor suppose to get back to Earth? Save all of the Demon Bloods? Get otherworld waifus? I can only wait and see.

I recommend reading this if you enjoy gender reversals and an overpowered MC. <<less
