This novel's really intriguing!

Spoiler

The MC is always the shou and sometimes the gong only in appearance (Not action, meaning he really is always the shou!), and there isn't always explicit smut in each arc.

The arcs mainly have tragic endings, but the build up of the whole arc is done seamlessly well and the capture target (ML) doesn't fall in love too easily compared to other novels.

The backstory is unique (albeit a bit dark) and the process in how the MLs fall in love is interesting as they're all different ways. One's quick to fall in love after MC shows his loyalty, the second only falls in love after he finds out that the MC really wasn't lying, and the third falls in love only after the MC is found out to be sincere, the fourth is when the ML finds out what the MC had done in his place, and the final is the real world where the ML is OP and remembers every one of his past life.

[collapse]

I read the MTL version and it's pretty easy to read! The translation's done pretty well too, so I recommend this story to anyone who likes Quick Transmigration stories with some tragic parts! <<less

The story is really good. Proof? I have just read this story in one sitting.

There's only 5 Arc (including real world) which doesn't took too much time to read (but every chapter is long).

Pair for the arcs:

Arc 1: Mafia Boss x Pet Lover

Arc 2: Reborn Boyfriend x Boyfriend

Arc 3: Puppet Emperor (Nephew) x King Regent (Uncle)

Arc 4: Maniac Pe*verted Psychopathic Serial Killer x Childhood Friend/ Obsession

Arc 5 (Real World) : Main System's Broken Mental Data x President of A Gaming Company

Just like the previous commenter said, the ending is kinda abrupt but ended pretty okay and the stories are all really intriguing. <<less

Weak characterisation and rushed delivery. Both MC and ML have serious psychological problems being wrung for drama rather than thoughtfully addressed. In chapter 41, the author even pulls the "[ML] loves you so you are not allowed to hate him" gaslight after months of public humiliation and violent s*xual ab*se, waved away with a vague apology and the excuse that it was caused by a misunderstanding. A lot of the reviewers are ragging on the MC for being too heartless, but there are worlds in which ML commits crimes that... more>> would have had him chopped up and fed to dogs if his victims had any say at all. For MC to crush his spirit a little bit and leave is nothing more than a slap on the wrist, not that MC is anything to write home about either.

And after arc 3, ML gets rewarded for all his r*pe and torture and malice with kiss kiss fall in love. Not my kink, really. The arcs are resolved cheaply, as is the frame narrative in the final chapters. The descriptions are also repetitive. Very tiring to read. My faith in Chrysanthemum Garden's novel QC has fallen a bit.

There aren't 5 worlds but 7. The last one is the real world. 4th, 5th worlds don't have an ending after task completion, they simply skip to next world in next chapter. The ending of novel was too abrupt. They slept, ML closed his eyes and novel ended!

My views on arcs:-

Spoiler

Arc 1: There was less angst for which I was happy except ML's one-way forcing MC to sleep with him (sort of r*pe). Soon, romance seems to be progressing very well. If not needed to die immediately to leave the world, it would have been good if MC spent a lifetime there and then die.

Arc 2: Too much angst. ML practically bullies MC and then repents. MC dies not forgiving ML. Makes me sick!

Arc 3: It had a pretty good start but a sudden assassination from third party destroyed all the goodness. And then started a legend of angst. I even cried for the first time (had resolved not to cry knowing that this was filled with tragic arcs) in novel when they started to misunderstand each other. Although the ending in which MC forgives ML doesn't make me satisfied, it still relaxed me from all those tragic ends before.

Arc 4: I hate this arc the most. To me it was all crazy - the start as well as the end.

Arc 5: Although the start made me feel not happy with ML insisting that MC mu*dered and that all, but the ending of them staying together with each other and ML being bodyguard for MC's sake and MC trying to remove his gland for ML's sake moved me to tears.

Arc 6: I loved its start and the near-end part and truly disliked the middle one. ML was unable to understand MC's thoughts while ML couldn't bear ML's killing look.

Arc 7: Satisfied me most except the abrupt end. If didn't include MC's conversations with 001 then this novel would have been a tragic gem capable for polishing. But oh, there are some abrupt endings, s*upid to extreme moves and heartless MC (whom I'm unable to figure out). MC hasn't fallen love properly yet the novel ended made my teeth itch!

The novel is an okay read if you are bored, Story is about a Shou who travels thru different worlds in order to help Gong from blakening. In every world Gong hates Shou's guts and wants to kill him, But Shou doesn't mind because he is a professional at what he does, and at the end of the day always lets Gong know that he is wrong about hating him, thats the gist of every Arc. Lol Every story arc has a good story but ... more>>
Spoiler

all of them have tragic endings because after the shou completed all the tasks he leaves the world immediately which means dying in that world, I think there is only one world where he decided to stay for a couple of years because his system begs him to do, so that the ML would not end up too obsessive with him.. That is from what I understand thru MTL lol???

[collapse]

And I feel like the ending is kinda rushed like I dunno if the Shou really loves the Gong or he just aggreed to be with him just so we can have a HE so yeah. But still its a good read for yaoi fans like me. <<less

another story with r*pe, confinement and worse... stuff that's hard to read if you couldn't see the MC's inner thoughts about it being his job and all. he's not as funny or shameless as the MC in s*um shou or it's clones nor are the stories as emotionally moving as s*um gong and it's clones. the MC isn't as smart as FOD nor as cool as Killing the White Lotus. so in the end, what we're left with is a very middle of the road story with a moderately emotionally... more>> broken MC, an OP system with technical issues, a rushed ending and confused chapter numbering (the chapters seem a little messed up, though jjwxc says there are 97 in total but the actual chapters are more like 58 or so). <<less

It's not great, but I pushed through as its a short novel.

The first arc is decent, although it feels a bit weak - if it was fleshed out then it could have been great.

I do love this kind of MC, and, at first, I loved his interactions with the system, but they became quite repetitive just like the plot. The danger of QT novels is that each world can feel the same, which is what happened in this case. Very much rinse and repeat.

I did almost drop this novel a... more>> couple of times because it's so illogical. I can accept a certain level of fantasy as it's fiction, but arcs 2 and 4 had me questioning the brains of these characters. The authors really tried to test how far they could push it, the things these characters did was just fantastical.

I also felt there wasn't much chemistry between the MC and ml. The ML is your standard obsessive, possessive yandere, but it's difficult to see how he became attracted to the MC as not much time is spent on this aspect. It's the same for the MC. It's difficult to see how feelings came about.

I don't think I would recommend reading this novel unless you have too much free time and patience. <<less

Respectfully, the plot and characters are incredibly rushed, and characters have no logic. I am a beloved fan of dog-blooded cliche plots for the sake of entertainment, but this just ain't it. The plot and time spent (words written) on the characters are just way too little, so their actions are just unsubstantiated. Now if this with PWP or just straight smut, then all would be forgiven—but it's not. It's barely explicit or smutty enough to cover for the non-logicality of the plot.

Author tries to play MC as a dramatic... more>> actor/sexacoholic that enjoys forceful play, but imo the "play" is not even good. It's basically vanilla with no lube (MC a fake hoe if he into that mediocre performance)

The shortness of the chapters and undeveloped characters makes me believe that this story was just concepts a new writer wanted to explore, but not actual meant for a fully-fledged novel.

+3 stars just for the translators beautiful sweat and tears :,) >> <<less

5 stars, the novel stay true to the title lol

Daily /struggle of MC on his mission. It's not a fluffy novel so brace your heart&morals. ML has a high blackening range, and as one of the commentor in chrysanthemum garden : welcome to MC gaslighting adventures haahhaa. MC is not a weakling, he plays the victim card[ which is true] on every world, making every ML regret and pained on all of their horrendous wrongdoing.

1st Arc ML is such a bad character considering his past& work

2nd arc ML& MC... more>> was together 4 10 yrs, Trust really is important in relationship even if u r together 1 yr or 10 yrs up butttt what can we do? Every person have their own mind how they accept betrayal.

3rd Arc ML&MC as ancient world build up has a miscommunication, ML rolling down to a path of darkness lol

4th arc MC&MC got to know each other as minors, but MC integrated to the world, the prison time is already done. And ML became such a psycho

5th world, so we all know ML is only 1 entiry after all these worlds. Plus MC also had a problematic family/past and MC despite using money/transaction on relationships, MC did one way or another play with others feelings. For me it's also MC retribution thats why he did those missions. While ML being a data, he got a more consciousness about feelings because of MC leaving him on every world.

Well the end will do for me. With ML straight forwardness to MC he will slowly melt down MC, what MC lacks is really a sincere love and he should give a true chance not play to someone who wants to love him <<less

I usually finish things even if they are mediocre but this is worse. It's like the author wanted to write a quick transmigration novel, with any skills that an author should have. The MC is 'super smart' and whatever he does always works out. There is no second guessing or any problems along the way. At the end of the mission, which he did without caring at all about the ML, he suddenly feels bad for the ML, which feels so abrupt and weird.

Plus the writing isn't good, there's no... more>> suspense or mystery or any backstory. At least not till chapter 35 which is 60% of the story. Even if an amazing and super compelling backstory will appear later, what the point if I'm already bored out of my mind.

And now my thoughts about the 2nd arc

Spoiler

The ML was is love with the original person, the MC didn't even make him fall in love? What was the point of this arc, to torture the MC and ML?

[collapse]

The story itself is super short, but the MC doesn't feel like a real person, and the plot is non-existent. So it's not worth reading in my opinion. <<less

So first,

Spoiler

I hate the r*pe victim becomes lover trope. This isn't tagged that though, and I guess the reason why is because the MC.... doesn't care? Like the system gives him pain inhibitors and in the name of his mission he just... lets it happen and seems to be looking forward to it?

[collapse]
I'm not sure how I feel about that, though luckily seems to be just the first arc?

Also
Spoiler

suddenly leaving the world via death isn't my favorite QT ending

[collapse]

But it is interesting that, as he's acting, we see what the MC wants others to think he's feeling. To the point where I'm not sure what is mc's actual thoughts and what's his character sometimes.

I feel a little bad for the ML at the end of each world.

The MC and his system's relationship is funny, though it feels like MC sometimes hits the meaner side of teasing. I don't quite think it hits bullying level though?

It also ends... abruptly?

Was it worth staying up late reading? Probably not. Was it worth reading? I think so. Rate 3.5 stars <<less

The translation's ongoing so I decided to MTL it.

Overall I'd give this a 3.8/5, rounded off to 4/5. Give this a chance, it's actually pretty good. I just didn't like the ending that much and how it compared to the mission worlds they traveled to.

Just a warning, the MC is a s*umbag who's heartless. He sleeps with you then tosses you aside. It would explain why in the real world arc though. I like heartless and intelligent MCs but I felt uncomfortable with how the MC deals with feelings.

Don't be... more>> deceived lol, I, myself, thought it would be a light-hearted read and I paid for thinking like that. It has more dogblood than you might think. The angst in the first world can't compare to the following worlds and I actually cried. Might be because I don't really read much angst novels so yeah, take this with a pinch of salt.

ML's identity:

Spoiler

He's data that escaped from the worlds. Known as 'Zero'. I think he was also one of the boyfriends our s*umbag MC had.

[collapse]

Let me say this, the ending is

Spoiler

It's rather underwhelming if you think of the ML and MC's journey. I can say it's reasonable with the fact MC never really received true affection in his world, especially from his poor excuse of a mother but still, after all that angst I was disappointed with the lukewarm ending. I'm happy that the ML stuck with the MC in the real world, albeit not understanding human emotions much since he's DATA he still tried to understand it and even show that he loves and won't abandon the MC. MC's family, especially his mother were disappointing too. The real world arc is TOO short. It did not thoroughly explain what the MC suffered to the point he became like what he is, though it was expressed and compressed in the real world a bit that you would know why. MC, himself, doesn't understand what love really is and how to deal with feelings so I guess they're a perfect match? Also, I hoped there were extras/side stories that shows the MC and ML's life after they got together considering how short the real world arc is but we can only make do with this.

It's nice I would say.

I'm just kinda disappointed specially in the end the author could write one better.

As for the stories it's really good and exciting but I'm kinda irrated how MC works. I know it's a game transmigration and the ML really love him til the end but somehow MC his feelings through the story seems fake.

Simply a dogblood transmigration. If you like story about transmigration I recommend this!

But I don't recommend this for you who didn't like the fast pace story even though this is stories about transmigration and you will not find a beautifully and kind MC. What did you expect about dog blood transmigration? Kind MC? Docile MC? Sweet ending? Hah.

It... could've been better. The author has a way to grip your interest from their writing style and the translator is a damn good one, but some of the arcs' endings were abrupt and made your teeth gnash in dissatisfaction. Also, the MC is an uncaring one, so I found myself unable to get attached to the plot and its characters.

Not really my cup of tea.

The translater did a great job.

Kinda sad. I really wanted to like this novel. It's very short, but I didn't care much for the MC.

... more>> The MC is just really fake. I get that he's an actor playing a role, but he's just so carefree and doesn't seem to care anything but the points. To him this is just a game.

Even when the scene is supposed to be tragic, it's not because the MC just doesn't really care. Well I guess that could be a lie. At first he said he didn't care about leaving the world then he was a bit sad, but honestly who knows that could of been an act.

Just couldn't connect with him.

Also the arc is very short so it's a bit too fast paste, falling in love. I'm use to like 100ch of build up.

Anyway this is just my opinion but I know a lot of people like this novel so I would recommend reading it and you will know if you like it or not.

Happy reading <<less

The story is good. It is like any other BL Transmigration novels out there regarding the blackening of the MC or ML. I just think that the ending felt rushed, too rushed to be exact.
Spoiler

It's an HE.

There were plot holes in the story (I know some stories do have too but some were passable) that are needing some clarification.

If the ending is not rushed and the plot holes were fixed I'd give the story a solid 5. But it was good. I recommend this story to people who were looking for a new BL novel to read.

The MC annoyed me. He was just so heartless. It was because he just seems to play with people's feelings which is seen when he goes back to his original world and goes through boyfriends like clothes. I didn't like how he just left the ML. The way the arcs ended was very unsatisfying. The ending was just so bad. Idk what the author was thinking when they were writing it. It just made no sense.

4/10 would probably not recommend.
