I've read a few of the author's work.. and the stories usually have a moe ML and heroic FL.. and the plots are quite unique~^^

In this story, the FL is studious but naive.. she's also very straight forward.. ML is scheming but very accommodating towards FL..

They have a history.. something happened when the were children.. but I haven't been able to find that bonus chapter to mtl *tears*

Also, there is a cross-over story at the end (I've mtl-ed the author's other story and it's really nice too) . Very interesting~

Author has lots of work, but only a few are being translated atm.. I wish I can read more^^ <<less

Comedic and cute slice-of-life novel of learning gods and innocent teenagers.

The protagonist is a super dense and thinks constantly about math ONLY. She lacks common sense and normal social skills but she is very open and kind, she just doesn’t have the capacity to think like a normal teenager. She IS NOT anti-social though, it’s more like she’s just lost in her own world.

Male lead is the only person who has ever beat her but he is extremely doting on her... unfortunately she doesn’t realize that and just thinks that... more>> he’s a kind neighbor and fellow smart person.

Pros:

- Their interactions are very cute, friends to lovers

- relationship is so cute, she even thinks she’s dying when her heart starts to beat faster (LOL)

- lots of interactions with her new friends and family who are all hilarious

- ML is obviously smitten with her but it starts out as like “what is this person ON”

- their relationship flows at a very natural pace

- characters are all funny and have their own characteristics

Cons:

- time skip towards the end was confusing and wish we saw more of their time in between

- less interactions with friends towards the middle and end

- wish we got more content with their backgrounds and life OUTSIDE of school (we got a tiny snippet at a family gathering but not much more)

Overall: very cute novel to experience some puppy love, would read again for the humorous characters. <<less

Out of all MCs this one is one of the densest ive encountered oh ma gash (if u like reading that type then this is perfect for u). Not a bad story though I wish the author wrote more of their after story. Don't be fooled by the low ratings, this is a light hearted romance that will give you laughs and leave u with a nice happy ending. There are no ups and downs and their relationship is smooth sailing the whole way so if u like drama, please go find another book :).

The only -1 was cause I wish the other characters other than MC and ML had their story more fleshed out

Novel is not bad. Full of fun and slow romance. It is just that I am getting tired on the naive FL and she is getting on my nerves. Her bit innocence and stup*dity is irritating. She indeed lacks common sense and it does not sit well on me. Maybe I will pick up this novel again in the future since I was hoping that it is as good as the other novels of the autor. Will edit this when I picked it up again.

This is my third book of the same author and I had high hopes for this. But unlike other books, I feel this one lags behind a lot.

The plot line was stable but at the same time a bit boring. It is really hard to continue.

the low rating and cover almost made me skip this novel LMAO, but this is actually very cute!!!

this is the story of the dense, math genius, first rank student Yao Yi with the soft, aestethic (he reads books on the window of his big-ass villa), and study god Fu Chuan. Yao Yi's sole focus is math and math ONLY. This, coupled with her superior aptitude in other lessons makes her always get first place since elementary school until she meets Fu Chuan, or more like, until she attracts Fu Chuan... more>> enough that he's willing to dethrone her from first place. It's something like this:

Yao Yi: /just doing her thing, learning math all day, asking Fu Chuan to buy her books, basically treating him as an ordinary classmate instead of an untouchable otherworldly being/

Fu Chuan: heh, you've roused my attention, woman /awakens his inner big brain to get higher scores than her/

why he did that? Well, because he's unable to beat her in math (he acknowledges that she's better in them) while Yao Yi's eternal weakness lies in literature and essay composition girl same and he excels in them. He realized that he won't be able to make her TRULY noticed him unless he took away what she always had (the first place). If this is not a high school love novel and instead a BD*M one, i'd be really worried with this setting. But fortunately, this is just a silly novel about a silly boy chasing after a silly girl.

there's zero ZERO drama. Or more like it's resolved quickly. Like that part where

FL realized she truly likes ML after dating him to lower his grades. She's like "eh doesn't matter, anyway Fu Chuan likes me too!" and then they finally act like a proper lovey dovey couple.

I like it so far. The funny scenes hits. I love how dense the protagonist is, I was expecting a more proactive protagonist didn't expect her to be so straightforward and dense, completely different from the synopsis at least for now. It's the ML who fells in love first 💖
