From the very beginning author told the stand, that the act of having patron is shameful and humiliating. It was not glorified with the cliche of you being able to stand proud in front of insider and acting proud to all crew. Author realistically wrote many possible relationship of them and the ending of each one to show to some naive people out there, entertainment business is just like that. You can have your own opinion of whether it is shameful, ugly or dirty. But this is the reality.

• • Qiu Quan - Bai Lang

Since they are main leads, of course their relationship is the one with positive energy. But Bai Lang didn't said that the act is morally good but from 'past life' he knows this patron is good (even if it short lived). He didn't relent in his last life, and you can see how he ends up in the end. He picked the offer this time around mainly to repay the gratitude for that lone black umbrella holder. And Bai Lang was portrayed of having different behaviour once Qiu Quan confirmed their relationship. Because buyer-the good relationship can only do so much. Loved the fact that even though Bai Lang is the one getting into that messy offer, it is Qiu Quan the one taking voluntary step to get them out of the messy entanglement

• • Hong Yu - Su Quan/Qu Suan

This one depicted the dark side of obsessed patronage and hostage patronee. You can make your choice to have the biggest patron for your glorious dream, but then the risk is higher. Su Quan's life is basically that. Don't know if Hong Yu isn't wheelchair bounded, if he will still persist to have Su Quan though. The author really wrote them well, as you can't find a shred of romanticism being depicted. It is all obsession and desperation; from both party.

• • Qiu Kou - Feng Hong

This is written subtly but it is more of patron-patronee for mutual benefits more than feeling invested. Basically it is written as transaction deal. Once the dealer went to jail, Feng Hong simply went to find a new patron. To naive celebrities supporter out there (especially asian, I know they gonna fight me, this is actually common practice you see. Not necessarily selling your body, but there always is transaction and connection to climb in that industry)

• • Qiu Quan - Ya Qi

A nice addition by author. It shows that even traffic route/idol talent also needed backer. This one and many more vague nameless small stars being mentioned of having selling body for more exposure. It really isn't easy thriving in this industry. Having big company isn't going to just cut it.

The first thought he had woken up in second life isn't revenge, but asking why god give him, someone with nothing this chance? Knowing his past, it makes you feel so distress over him. I was tired over story with MC getting revenge blindly to every person that antagonised his past life.

Bai Lang is a fresh change. He still wants to block the betrayer Kang Jian, but he won't actively ab*se the power he had gotten. But what Kang Jian reaped this time is what he sow himself. Kang Jian and Li Sha can still be civil had them decided to hold press conference rather than that ambush. When Kang Jian is hounded by citizens and money lender thug, I was close to feel a bit pity but then bamm, in that lowest moment he still wants to r*pe Bai Lang and blackmail. Really human shaped tr*sh.

Bai Lang wants to cut off from his trouble-prone family, but he softened towards his old father in the end. It was good writing by author to choose his father the one seeing him in the end. Because his mother had said she wanted to abort him but it is due to this weak dad rare persistent that our Bai Lang got a chance to live. So it really touched my heart when his old beaten down father come to see him asking for final help, Bai Lang agrees, even though it is in the form of cold check and monthly bank in. Because it isn't easy to forgive, but a little is still a progress. Even I got teary eyed when his father, after 24 or 27 years of life finally asked, "Are you living well?" at last.

There is small jealous actress that wanted to seduce Qiu Quan, the Su Quan incident, Feng Hong bullying, Wu ShenEn sold him out. For me, Bai Lang handled all well. As long as Qiu Quan and Qiu XiaoHai isn't affected, he very generously let it slide. Didn't use his backer to pressure or fired the unpleasant thing. Even the scheme that affected a production is done once. When he said after all, everyone still had to make a living, I was like "precious!!!".

During the main story, I was speculating that ML had also reborn because of how open and welcoming his attitude was. But he wasn't, so its also somehow interesting.

Also, I felt quite annoyed with Su Quan but Kang Jian's actions was wayyy more annoying, so it overpowered Su Quan's annoyance in my heart. I felt sad for Su Quan's ending.

He got a really big loan, has to live like beggar, became insane, and later got r*ped by the loan sharks' brothers in the jail.

I think, it's enough for him to be divorced by his wife, become poor, and shame him so he can't even show his face to anyone.
