The MC slaps everyone's face and isn't afraid of killing those who've wronged him. Even the slightest provocation can earn a slap. Although he doesn't kill everyone, I think he should be killing people more. His mouth cannon is good, but it's not enough. Very refreshing to read after alot of xianxia likes to dance with long sleeves and pretend to be a pig to eat tiger!! This one doesn't!! He just shoots!!

The CP is acceptable, but I don't really care about them. The ML isn't bad or good, he's... more>> just good for the MC I guess. Lots of side characters though. And there's alot of peach blossoms, but they don't go anywhere and some of them are in*est lmao. His parents are really annoying, so much that I decided to drop the novel after having enough of them. It's the same old trick, I don't want to hear it anymore. The chapters are pretty short, most of the titles aren't alluding to a major point so just read this carefreely. <<less

AHHHH THIS IS ACTUALLY GOT TRANSLATED? UWOOWW

This novel is actually one of the most fav danmei i've read. It has super many chapters, I still stuck on 400-ish chapters😭 BUT I CAN TELL YOU THAT I REALLY LOVE IT!

Why?

... more>> The first reason is because I love Mo Junlan character so damn much! He is really realistic and heartless to his enemy and people who offend him! He will never hesitated to kill and crush other based on morality whatsoever. Yes, this MC is a ruthless ++ person.

Even his family are not spared lol. There will a misunderstanding regarding MC identity in front of his biological parents and that is supposedly angst. It makes me hate them (parents) so much that I don't mind Junlan's bad behavior to them at all. DESERVE IT!

But well, they will reconcile. I just want to say that this is the highlight of MC real chara that make me really like him. His IQ and EQ is online. He will act ruthlessly, REALLY RUTHLESS that he even dared to kill his dad without any mercy because he (MC) knows, that they (parents) are deserve to die.

(not gonna spoil this any further but well, I understand why they did it, but even until this second i'll never forgive them and always support Junlan's act)

He is arrogant, bad, acting according to what he is thinking... AND HAVE A STRENGTH TO SUPPORT HIS ACT! (this is important)

I saw many novel have MC who is ruthless and act as his will but actually a weakling who rely on "luck" and "plot" to progress you know. So, finding an MC who is a complete package like this is really a happy thing for me.

Another important thing are the IQ of villain even canon fodder are online. They are mostly weak (except for some big boss /like parents and some king/) and easy to beat because they are looking down on MC. But, in any case their IQ actually online and not s*upidly charging against MC without any preparedness and caution.

The plot progress in a LIGHT AND FUN way. It's not heavy at all. I can tell you that this plot progressing in an adventure theme so it's really fun to read because you will always see different place and new character!

(the more you read, the more you will find that MC is a... little cutie. The world just too bad for him hmph)

Even the fight with parents arc progress fast and straight forward w/o any dawdling, so I cried (yes so much) but only cry bc I pity MC so much uwahhh😭 hiks hiks.

(i can guarantee this not angst! no angst! no angst!) (important things have to be said three times)

The romance plot is not fast and not slow either. Just perfect. This happens because MC is not slow... and ML is 10000% loyal to MC😀 so the love line is literally smooth like butter :)

Highly recommended!

It is kinda funny. The characters are silly and the MC readers willl complain about him a lot. He is extremely heartless and super disrespectful to the extreme. After eat he went through I dont blame him for the trust issue but damn he could of have been a tad bit nicer to his parents. It was not their fault that they lost him. ML is a freaking psycho and I love the psycho bottoms. Like damn ML has not chill. He is ruthless to other people beside MC. As mentioned in the tags.... this time our MC is really narcissist....... but he has the capital to be one. Also keep in mind that MC is born and brought up in the cultivation world as a waste in the first life and in second reincarnation he started again from bottom, fought his way to the top but again died and for two lifetimes his life was a quite miserable without any family love and care.... the story mainly started with his third life in which he was reborn in... more>> his first life again.... but this time our MC 's personality is already distorted..... so please have some patience with this bear child because he actually is a bear child....

MC was originally the way of the heaven who gained consciousness with time and was a powerful God who ruled the God's realm..... but problem started when the laws under the heaven also gained consciousness and was dissatisfied with the heaven... so he planned to overthrow heaven and become ruler himself and then the game began between the two of them to gain control of the realm..... this is the main plot or say climax of the story.... which is revealed near the end

The first time I started this book, I dropped halfway for various reasons. The first reason is that I had just finished its predecessor (Rebirth from another world: The Heaven-defying Supreme) and the plot/worldbuilding/events are basically the same. Considering that, it was a little difficult to read the story. Second, the MC's character was intolerable at times, especially during the Earth arc.

On the second reading, I loved and hated the MC. I loved his ruthlessness, narcissism, and love for the ML. However, I very much hated his childish character. Sometimes... more>> it was so bad that I wanted to drop the book again. However, I had nothing else to read so I stuck with it until the end.

Another thing I disliked was the s*x scenes. As usual, they were not explicit but I am used to that. What I disliked was how perfunctory the CP was about s*x. If you compare to Yan Ai books where the CP double cultivates for months or years, Su Mengmeng books really fail in this aspect. In this book, the CP usually double cultivated for about three hours and the frequency left much to be desired.

Anyway, although the dual cultivation descriptions were disappointing and the MC's character was sometimes intolerable, the book is fun to read. <<less

Well this one is genuinely pretty underrated but here I’ll talk about some issues that kinda bothered me in first 150 plus chapters !

1. I absolutely love the idea of the MC Mo Junlan but his portrayal is somewhat off track- he’s supposed to be the grey character who has gone through a lot in his past two lives and despite that sometimes he comes across as a complete buffoon. When he first transmigrates back to the body of his first life he has this thirst for vengeance but after killing some side characters he just leaves ? He says that he’s been through so much and doesn’t care about his real parents but due to the seal he still has to carry oil bottles like the Feng guy - which sounds unreasonable coz he can break the seal with third advancement of his practice! He’s often portrayed very narcissistic and like a fox spirit but the whole image rather than being mysterious and charming becomes a proud peac*ck ?

2. The sword spirit ML is just there to praise the MC - that’s it ! His character as the most loyal right hand is just abruptly thrown into this lovesick brain damage fan who just follows his idol because the MC once bought him some romance and smut books ? And the ever oblivious ML just accepts ? There is the foreshadowing of being good to each other only but the relationship jump is serious !

3. The amount of PDA and the quality of it really makes one skip the part - unnecessary ! Serves no plot point and becomes annoying after repetition !

4. The whole super OP cultivation and bad battle descriptions- cultivation jumps like some pole vault event and battles end after the MC takes out his ultimate move ! Then again in next higher level battle MC takes out another more higher level ultimate move ! The ultimates are endless !

Despite all this the story has great potential and some really sizzling plot - it could have been better portrayed but still it’s very good read for cultivation novices ! I will probably pick this back up in future but till then ! <<less

This review is edited.

My initial rating was 3/5 because I've only read up to 60+ chapters that's why I didn't understand why the MC is so OP.

But now, I've finished reading it and finally found out why he turned out that way, hehe.

Ps. The author have several works too, and they're all interconnected, Like the MC in this world as a god will meet other gods.

So far, my favorite novel written by Su Mengmeng is about the apprentice of the MC.
