I can't tell if I'm bored or just tired of the MC. I do appreciate that the MC still refers to himself as a man despite the bodyswap... but I really don't like pervy male MCs and he's definitely that. On the one hand it is refreshing to have MC not be jealous of every love rival he meets - but that's just traded with him perving on them instead.

I'm also feeling bad for the ML because the comedy seems pretty focused on embarrassing him.

Had me laughing to the point of tears multiple times, genuinely crying at least once, and squeeing so much I was worried the neighbours would call the police (or an ambulance, or both)...

Not perfect, by any means, but deserving of 5 stars, and definitely worth giving it a go.

Currently on ch 80 but this is so good

For me I really can't read a slice of life, and that too with no skip

I never knew I would read this novel non-stop

... more>> It's a beautiful story, with lots of humor, MC shenanigans, doting ml, some realistic elements, a peaceful read tbh

It's like a old times summer vacation reading, just relax under the fan and read it no sweat hehe

Author themselves admitted it has very basic plotlines but for me it was really interesting, and also I've read genderbend Mangas before but in all of them MC were well aware of being gay and loving female clothing

So this one was quite new to me, I really really enjoyed how author took their time and developed characters' feelings

Still reading it and yet to get tired of it

As a fairly impatient reader I didn't like the MC. Personally I don't like it when the MC takes more than an entire chapter of inner monologue containing 90% situational denial to sort out his thoughts. The fact that the MC didn't have any original body memories was annoying as well. Always creates awkward situations which aren't that enjoyable to read. Then the comedy aspect was weird. Sure it was funny but it was the comedy of a child. It was basically just him constantly complaining in a funny way.... more>> I dunno I just find him more irritating than interesting.

I am 100% the type of person to judge a novel on the first few chapters, after all 1st impressions are important. I don't wanna drag myself through something I don't enjoy just to get to a decent bit. As for after the beginning I'll assume other reviews are accurate but this is my take on the beginning. <<less

Tbh one time read for me, at first it was understandable that he became she so suddenly that’s why everything is so complicated for the MC to comprehend. However how can I forget that the soul belongs to a 29 yr old person. I know it’s not written anywhere that the older you get the mature you become but still the way MC acted and the lack display of common sense was really turn off. Yet I still gave it a three star due to it being funny and hilarious.... more>> Even though I could have given it a one star or perhaps drop it halfway as the novel didn’t venture any deep water through MC’s character development, which is zero to none. <<less

Okay, actually this is first chinese novel about gender-bender that I've read and that is..... good.

MC is really cute and even if 'he' is became 'she', doesn't mean he is forget about his identity before.

ML is not cool-careless-typical, but more realistic and sweet.

Well, of course, this is worth to read!

Some of the inner monologues of the MC are hilarious and entertaining. But overall, the story was way over-dramatic for what it was aiming to do. This might have been a better story if it was shorter.

I actually quite loved the short stories (of their past lives) that the writer included to show they can write other genres. So, basically, as things stand as of this novel, the writer has an awesome imagination but things don't go that well when it is stretched into an 85 chapter novel. Nothing to say..... Just joking!!!!

Comrades, if you want a GB romance novel, comedy and rebirth then I think it's a good choice for beginners. The story is full of vanila and the hilarious daily life of the couple. It's a slow-burn but not that slow, it actually shows how they develop feelings to each other, despite the fact that the MC is a male reborn in a female body and is straight.

If you want something that can pass your time, this is definitely the read.

Took me a while to get into this novel. I found the MC s*upid in the first couple of chapters, but he/she grew on me and I ended up reading the whole book. It was quite funny and enjoyable, even if it's mostly a slice of life story (and a very sweet one at that). Not much happens, but it ended up being a decent and cute love story.

This is hands down one of my favourite things in the world. Thank you internet.

For those who are terrified by the tags and are still on the fence on whether or not to read it, I recommend going in with an empty mind and empty heart. Don't expect a serious plot or dogblood or anything along those lines. This is a comedy first and foremost, and while the romance isn't exactly slow burn, it takes a backseat to... uh, everything else going on.

the situation about his family/fiancee's knowledge of his body swapping is never truly resolved in full, which doesn't matter much in the novel, but would be pretty ass in real life. Which, thankfully it's not.

Binged the novel and normally I would feel at a loss and empty when I finish reading, but this time no negative emotions became present and all I feel is a sense of contentment.

What a sweet and comedic novel :') Both the protagonist are very likeable and the MC definitely brought in their personality making the novel such a pleasure to read! The ML is one of those rich CEO type ML's but he really doesn't fit into those stereotypes of being incredibly possessive or "will-do-some-crazy-outer-worldly" things just for the... more>> MC trope. ML is so lovable! MC is so lovable! Both of them are meant for one another! Now the question is when can I find a man like the ML? Lololol

i already read this story a long time ago. However, was bored so I decided to read it again so here I am, dropping a review~

this is one of the best chinese webnovels out there. Seriously. The comedy is AMAZING. I remember reading this while im on a bus and the girl next to me was looking at me weirdly coz my shoulders were trembling despite trying hard not to laugh too much. Their chemistry is really great as well. I love how the MC didn't just fall in love... more>> with ML automatically coz they were "husband and wife" and she really reflected and thought hard about her feelings before responding to ML coz she doesnt want to half ass their relationship.

I have re-read this entire novel 10 times. Exactly TEN times, no joke, and it's my 11th time right now. This should be enough to tell you just how absolutely hilarious, adorable and lovely this story is. It's the go-to to read when you just want to smile and laugh till your stomach hurts and squeal till your hoarse cuz of the PERFECT romance and the amazing chemistry.

Su Jian (MC) is just.... QUEEN. She is the queen of queens. Fight me if you dare oppose.

An Yize (ML) is def one... more>> of my absolute favourite male leads out there, hands down.

And their relationship dynamic is my ULTIMATE fav and I'm sure is also the fav of a lot of you. Shameless, hilarious MC x cold, uptight ML.

Mix in perfect translation with little to no errors, smooth plot, swoon worthy moments and the epitome of comedy itself and there you have it. One of the best gender bender novels of all time and (in my opinion) one of the best romance/comedy novels of all time. <<less

This is by far the best gender bender romcom I've read from NU as far! Literally laughed my ass of almost every chapter. I just can't get enough of the MC's antics and especially her internal dialogues.

Hopefully more novels from this author will be translated in the future!

This novel was surprisingly good! I avoided it due to premise of a guy transmigration from into the body of a girl, but I am so glad I gave it a chance. The MC with his inner monologues is hilarious and gave me many lol moments. The romance was also somewhat realistic. A fluffy story. Highly recommended!

Normally I write reviews to let people know how good something is but as you can see the reviews, a lot of people have actually said that so i'll just write this review for the ones who are hesitant because of the genderbender genre. Before reading this novel, I hated this genre as the story was always unreasonable. It'd be mostly about crossdressing/turning into a girl to get r*ped or just because you've now become a girl you have to be conscious of some guy and get turned on. They... more>> made me facepalm.

But I can proudly say this is the best genderbender novel out there. Even though sometimes I'm not a fan of chinese humour, this made me laugh out loud each chapter. The slow interactions between the main couple were cute and I loved the MC.I loved how he retained his main personality and the ML loved that personality. It was really so much fun to see a girl act like a guy (not tomboyish) but the actions of his were really worth my time. Like how he met Yize's childhood friend (who considered him a love rival) only to get interested in her, call her goddess and tell her he plays DOTA 2. In other novels, MCs start acting as girls so it kills the fun but this novel is pure gold.

i recommend this 10/10 <<less

Reborn as my Love Rival’s Wife is a high quality novel, a rarity I’d say. Fully translated into English, it’s not too long yet not too short; it’s just perfect. The plot (although it’s mostly just daily life) is a solid 4.5/5, and it’s so sweet. The ML is doting, and you’ll gradually grow to love him. The MC is a tad dense, but it’s reasonable given that he’s a man inside a woman’s body. There isn’t much dog blood in this novel either, although the ex-boyfriend of the MC’s... more>> vessel does appear. Enough said, it’s a great novel, simple but stellar. 5/5 stars indeed! <<less

A wonderful story that is sweet and heartwarming without being sweet and heartwarming. The MC behaves silly yet reasonable, slowly coming to terms with his new gender. Thawing the MLs heart. The author describes it best: The story IS nooby, without any unexpected development or tragedy, but what is wrong with that? It is fresh and funny, and has the perfect length to enjoy it without getting sick of it. 6/5!
