Reborn As My Rival's Wife definitely catapulted itself as a favorite. I can't really say much but everything in this novel was so endearing, entertaining, and funny as hell. I was actually just looking for something to pass time and shake off boredom, and instead, I found treasure haha. Will definitely be on my re-read list. My heartfelt thanks to the author who wrote this. I love An Yize. And of course, Su Jian. Also, thank you to the translators who gave their time in translating this.

Yes yes yes this is my fav!!!

I bit hesitated to pick this because of the gender bender theme

But boy I was wrong, this is not what O expected

So much fluff, and funny interactions between ML and MC

Dear lord, can you send a man like An Yize to me?

The first gender bender and BG I've read, though I consider it to be danmei/BL based on the MC's mentality? Storyline wise, it's cute with funny moments and you get to see the development and acceptance of the MC and romance with the ML. It's a medium length chill read to pick up.

First I wasn't sure it's a good plot or not. Specially first chapters enjoyed me but after that... I realized it was one of the funniest novel I ever read!

If you want a comedy romantic novel, this is definitely your cup of tea! It may seems like a BL at first but the funny moments, makes it worth reading! Dig in!

Agree! A lot of fluff and so funny! I enjoyed it so much I didnt sleep until I finished it. So tired haha. I really like the ML/FL Su Jian. There were points I had never thought about if a man turned into a woman. The translator did this really well! I preffered the one who continued to translate all the chapters. Hardly any grammatical errors imo. Flowed so well. I do wish the novel was a bit more smutty hehehe

Absolutely the best genderbender story I've ever read. 10/10

I would've liked it if the antagonists were fleshed out a bit more, but other than that, it truly showcases the struggles of a person's psyche as they are forced to deal with the change of their body. The character growth and development of the main character is phenomenally done. Great story, would definitely recommend for anyone into this niche genre.

I actually really like it. Of course, it’s a bit weird at first cause the MC is supposedly a straight male in a woman’s body, but I quite like the how this makes the MC dense and somewhat oblivious. Overall a nice fluffy read, lots of blanket-kicking moments

WOW this is great! Really funny, I physically burst out laughing a couple times. I LOVE the main characters so much, Su Jian is soo funny and An Yizhe is the best ML I have seen in a LONG time like he has all the qualities of the popular "possessive male lead" without all the restricting her, jealous at the drop of the bat, etc. Like he really really loves her and respects her as a person. Honestly he's any girl's dream guy, guaranteed. I also really appreciate the pacing,... more>> it's great you actually understand how they're falling in love (and you fall in love with the characters too). MC in return really falls in love with him for more than just all the shallow parts, the thing about the gender is properly considered and also really respects him [continued in spoiler]

especially since even after she was pretty sure she liked him she wanted to actually be good to him, making sure it's not just a fleeting feeling, and even moved away to make sure of her feelings. This is the complete opposite to that white lotus who absolutely felt okay using ML's feelings; MC even says "If I didn't care about your love, I might be able to trample over it. However, I care about your love. Therefore, I'm scared of letting you down". He properly develops confidence in his feelings, that they won't change in the face of any other temptations male or female, and I really respect this. In all aspects ML is his best choice, but that's not why he chooses ML.

Although then the pregnancy comes a little fast, it took him so long to come to terms with liking a guy and then he became a mother? Like idk maybe a little longer would've been good.. but it was still okay.

Don't be turned off by the photo (like I originally was), it makes the novel look super angst-y but it's not. This is a really funny read that makes you feel warm and happy (and jealous). Like the cover even makes it seem r*pe-y but it's not at all, there's some drama but it's good. I also love that misunderstandings is never really the key driver of a drama (which is the case in a lot of stories), see spoiler.

Regarding the adult tag, I guess there's a couple scenes that are certainly more than suggestive, but don't go as far as smut. If you don't feel comfortable with it you can ignore those scenes, but it's all consensual and revealing of their characters and how much they really love each other.

I also like that to the end it addresses Su Jian as "he", and you know that An Yizhe liked him for personality and a lot of it is about liking each other for who they really are; narration stayed true to his personality but I didn't really find it strange even during adult scenes so those not comfortable with BL should be okay with this too.

Especially the arc with Ji Yan feeding MC an aphrodisiac, that could've been really bad (like soo many potential misunderstandings) but it was totally nipped to the bud. I really appreciate that because a lot of stories will use cheap misunderstandings to drive tension and the story.

Overall a really fun and good read! Highly recommend it. Feel a little bad for Su-girly though, she died and no one knew enough to mourn her...

It's a good short fluffy love story, there isn't much drama or plot twists. The MC and ML interactions are really hilarious. Not much to comment on, the translation is good. If you're looking for a easy light fluffy romance with a splash of comedy give this a read.

It was the best gender-bender story I've ever read. It's not overdone in terms of drama, and it has comedic undertone which is just nice to make me laughed and happy while reading it. The feelings between An Yize and Su Jian looked very genuine, especially since Su Jian took the time to properly think it over. He took into account his own feelings as a guy who is married to another guy, and what kind of future is it going to be, not just for him, but also for... more>> An Yize, should he continues to stay in the marriage. It's a great depiction of love and compromise in marriage. I'd absolutely recommend this story~! <<less

The best genderbend story I've read (not that I've read many). I absolutely love the humor and the author's understated way of writing the slow build of romance. Translation is top quality.

This is not a revenge novel, not really even a rebirth novel (since the protagonist doesn't have a goal to change his life or resolve problems from his previous life). It's really a slice-of-life from the perspective of a poor guy who transmigrated into a girl's body and found himself saddled with a husband, who happens to be that guy, the 'perfect' wealthy young master who stole the hearts of his previous girlfriends. There is plenty of humorous drama and shenanigans however, from overbearing mother-in-laws to indecisive exes to drugs and drunk confessions.

The relationship progression is pretty realistic and... more>> peppered with absolute GOLD one-liners. I honestly rolled around laughing so much.

I adore the author's perspective of the world. The author has a really understated ability to write deep feelings without being cliched confessions or cheesy actions. The novel really made me feel deeply about the connection between the main characters; like they crossed gender boundaries, with the humor almost a mask for the true feelings underneath. It made the characters come alive.

One teeeensy gripe is the author frequently forgets whether the MC is suppose to be smart. The MC goes from being super self-confident that he graduated from the top 3 universities to not being able to do the math (or physics?) questions that his middle school kid is asking about (I'm sure it was for humor, but... *sigh*).

(I've never seen a CN with a female MC with high intelligence after they become "moms"... their kids are always 100% smarter than them but never as smart as the husband. *sigh*)

This novel was a fun and very enjoyable ride from start to finish. I was literally finding myself laughing out loud all throughout and couldn’t help falling in love with Su Jian, who was utterly hilarious, and An Yize, the big softy. Definitely 100% recommend this.

An unromantic, dense, previously male Female Lead and a cold at first 'what happened to your image' president Male Lead--that's all you need to love this novel. It's a feel-good story and it made me laugh dozens of times >< 10/10 will definitely read again!

Haha...I was bored, and then found this gem xD. It's been a wild ride, but it's way up there in entertainment and enjoyment. We have a quirky MC, and the story doesn't have much of a direction. It essentially plays out in a way that's a bit slice-of-life gag comedy (with a generous heaping of comedy and fluff in later parts).

It isn't really a reincarnation story since the dude literally soul transferred into the chick's body after death, and as for that "Adult" tag... Oh there's definitely some nsfw in... more>> there. Although, it occurs pretty late into the story. Most of the time, I'm wheezing at MC's antics or from the intense fluff. If you're into something like that, I don't think you would regret giving this a try x'D. <<less

Seriously this novel is so cute and funny! I love the character developments between the MC and ML. My heart is at ease coz this novel only has few face slapping and scheming scenes unlike other novels that's way over the top. I'd give this a 10/10 read. I wish I knew Chinese though so I could read without waiting for English trans, that's how badly I wanna read this novel.
