The frame of a former legal professional going to law school as a chaebol bears similarities to "I Became a Law School Genius", although in this story the protagonist is much more involved in business right away.

Intrigues, forging connections, predicting the future of politics and business (while sufficiently justifying it based on current available information), and of course the inheritance struggles, this novel has all of those.

It's unclear whether it's influenced by retaining the memories of the body he possessed in addition to his original life, but the moral alignment... more>> of the protagonist isn't entirely clear. His goal is to uncover corruption and possibly even bring about change to the entire system, but he doesn't hesitate to take on construction projects that will result in deaths or look for allies in oppressive governments.

Even if that ends up being justified as a means to an end to bring about systemic change, he's not a squeaky clean hero.

Considering the history of the person he possessed, the rate at which he gains influence may be a bit too accelerated, but overall it's a very interesting read. <<less
