Yunxiu was born into the Qing dynasty, transmigrated as a baby. She grew up in the Uya family until the age of 13, and only after entering the palace did she realize—her older sister was none other than the famous historical figure, Defei.

History judged Defei as partial, foolish, and emotional. They say she was driven to death by her own son, Yinzhen—that she was “mad.”

But Yunxiu didn’t believe it.

Her sister rode horses and hunted with her, flew kites with her, and even snuck her out to night markets behind their parents’ backs.

She was the best sister in the world.

Life in the palace was dull, and wolves lurked in every corner. Though Defei held a high position, there was nowhere to vent the melancholy in her heart.

Thankfully, Yunxiu was always at her side—with delicious food, exotic trinkets, and endless novelties to share.
