Her father was the current Prime Minister, standing below only the Emperor and above ten thousand people; her brother was a high-ranking minister, holding military power and guarding the borders, striking fear into the hearts of enemies.

As the Prime Minister’s Di daughter, the daughter of the Fang Mansion, she had received boundless love and affection. However, she was betrayed by her closest friends and the one she loved, suffering a cruel fate.

Reborn and returned, she vowed to avenge her past and settle old scores!

In a world where people said the ways of the world were cold and human hearts were no longer kind, Fang Qingwan would show them how to tear apart s*umbags, defeat white lotus flowers, and rise as a great female lead!

However, who could tell her why a certain legendary prince, known for his indifference to women and his aloofness, always seemed to be entangled with her?

“Qingqing, if you don’t marry me, I’ll become a live-in son-in-law at the Prime Minister’s residence!”

Wait, what happened to his supposed persona as a distant, ascetic character who avoided women?

Okay, I really tried to give this one a shot, but wow... it’s just the same recycled plot in a new outfit—and not even a cute one.

Let’s start with the obvious: nothing new here. It’s every rebirth/revenge story you’ve ever read. The usual: FL dies tragically, wakes up with memories, and vows to never let it happen again. Cue the scheming stepmother, brain-dead relatives, and sudden 200 IQ plotting. You know the drill.

And then—of course—we get the tired temple setup. Yes, the one where she’s supposed to be taken advantage... more>> of by the villain so he can “righteously” marry her, only for her to sneakily swap herself with another girl. That trope has been done so many times I could probably write it myself in my sleep. Still boring. Still eye-roll worthy.

On top of that, there are a couple of nonsensical things that really ruin immersion. Like... her dad is the Prime Minister? The man who could squash anyone with a word? Yet she doesn't tell him anything. Not one word. I get that the author wants to keep the drama going, but this just feels lazy—like a cheap way to keep the plot conveniently messy.

Honestly, it’s not the worst I’ve read, but that’s only because I’ve suffered through some truly terrible stuff. This one’s just painfully meh. Read if you’re new to the genre and haven’t been burned out by the same tropes yet. Otherwise? Probably not worth your time.

I’m dropping it. There’s no hook, no tension, no payoff. Just the same tired formula wearing a slightly different dress. Pass. <<less
