This is a very funny novel with a committed, loving couple at its center. Being reborn into an earlier time in their lives, the pair have the advantage of foresight AND hindsight but reliving their lives better involves other people - and the events that result are both touching and hilarious. The author shows compassion for the struggles that many of the characters have had in the past and provides comeuppance for a few who deserve it, but the overall, the tone is mostly light. JUST LOVE THIS!!

A story that have many adorable slice of life events, I like them a lot. Life is made of many small colorful events.

MC and ML are absolutely adorable and full of love. They fought for a life and loved for 2 lifetimes.

This story is how they rectify the regrets they have in their past life and make their life as well as lifes of people around them happy.

YOU WON'T REGRET READING THIS!!

Pretty decent story, mostly just fluff.

Although it's not the best, the humor isn't bad either and there were many moments that got a nose exhale out of me.

I think it's mostly just a matter of preference with this one. I can't find many faults with it, but it just felt slightly boring to me.

Reborn with an Old Enemy has an interesting premise and a strong start, but was a let down in the end.

Don't get me wrong, a lot of the praises people give are well deserved. It's light-hearted and sweet and feeds everyone a lot of dog food. The main CP are together from the beginning and they never misunderstand one another. If you want fluff, this novel is a fluff-fest with enough outside conflicts for the main CP to solve and humor to keep things interesting.

For me, one of the best... more>> parts of the novel were the side characters. They're silly and loyal and are the comedic back bone of the novel.

In contrast tho, I found the main CP, the MC and the ML a bit boring, the MC moreso than the ML. The MC is perfection in a box and we're told to love him from the start but I don't feel we ever really get there naturally. We like him because we're supposed to as readers and because apparently everyone else in the novel does. And that just... idk... Doesn't fly with me. And over time, this forcing me to love him when I don't tone of the novel really got to me, to the point when I just got annoyed whenever the MC appeared.

But what really got me down on the novel were the parents. The father's are still redeemable, somewhat, but the mother... Her somewhat careless attitude and the lack of effort she actually puts into her relationship with her son really gets to me. Every time she appears in the story, she does something that gets me mad. In the end she kind of robbed the whole thing for me.

If I were rating this purely on how much I enjoyed this, I would give this no more than 2 starts, but I do acknowledge that it's sweet and humorous, and an overall decent enough read.

Honestly, I think this novel is worth a shot anyway. Maybe you'll find yourself loving the MC and not minding the mother, unlike me, and love the novel... <<less

I loved it!!! It's definitely my favorite high school shounen ai. From heartwarming family moments to hilarious antics among friends, this story had it all! The dynamic between Zheng PingQing and Lin Qian was very well written out too, the way they loved and cared for eachother really touched my heart.

And the comedy!!!! I am completely serious when I say that it made me laugh at loud at every chapter!!! The amount of comedy in this perfectly balances the fluff and romance.

The amount of happiness this novel gives me cannnot... more>> be described, I am so glad I read it, it even motivates me to do well in my exams, seeing all of the students work hard and study!!! <<less

I love this novel. The MC and ML are sooo cute and hilarious and the plot was new and original, refreshing from those typical BLs. There was also a moment of ice skating so of course I was like YURI ON ICEEE!! Well its basically just fluff, fluff, more fluff, and marriage blessings from their subordinates. 100% recommend.

I really like the beginning of this novel. There's a bunch of misunderstandings but they aren't between the MC and the ML, instead the subordinates of the two are confused. It's so funny but as it goes along I feel like it's getting kind of repetitive.

THIS IS SO GOOD I LOVE IT SO MUCH 100% READ

this is definitely a very fluffy novel, there is little to no angst at all and I love that about it. it was sort of a coming of age fic, since you're kind of watching our two protagonists grow up and let go of their past regrets, which really moved me. since it's set in highschool, its one of those novels that make me sad because at the end I feel reminded that everything is temporary since they all graduate... more>> and stuff (it actually made me cry really hard at the end)

if anything my only complaint is one of the side couples never got together.... but its not that big of a deal <<less

I don't get it. Everyone in the comments says this is heartwarming. In addition, this has such high ratings. But I was painfully disappointed, even from the first chapter.

Their relationship dynamic is a pain to read. It feels as if the uke doesn't like the seme, but just feels good having the seme submit to him. And the seme isn't better, it's your usual lovestruck braindead dog s*ave top. I can't stand tsunderes either.

I reckon there are people who like this trope, but it just makes me cringe. I can't... more>> feel the sweetness or fluff I was promised, so yeah, not for me. <<less

Absolutely love this story. There's just so much dog food, face-slapping, and shamelessness that makes me laugh out loud. Although it's a slice of life, school days, comedy, etc, it still has at least a bit of plot to it, making it better. The chapters tie together pretty well. The misunderstandings before they tell their friends about their relationship are even funnier. Its also on the longer side but it luckily doesn't lose the plot halfway through! Would recommend this any time.

This is also my 3rd time rereading it haha.... more>> It's one of my slice-of-life, school-day favs. That's why I just wrote the review right now although I rated it awhile back :) <<less

This novel is so funny, cute, sweet and satisfying, that I can't describe it. 😁 It had me grinning almost the whole time while reading it, so I must say that I'm completely satisfied with the story. 😂 Recommended for sure.

I loved reading this story. It's one of my favorites!! It's a mature couple where there's no "you're my wife, no I'm the husband, and blah blah".

The author plays with it but at no time did it annoy me like other novels have.

Ahhhh, I just enjoyed this story so much I had to make my own account to write a review myself.

The storyline and plot for me is great. I binge-read this book and before I even realised it, I had reached the end... It's just really full of fluff and hilarious moments so if you’re looking for something like that, I’d 100% recommend this! Though it's a little embarrassing to admit, LQ and ZPQ are just so cute where at times, I couldn't help but squirm and roll around in my... more>> sheets, hehehe.

In addition, the translator has done a fantastic job at explaining certain parts that would usually get lost in translation and I'm really thankful for that as they managed to explain it through the eyes of someone who's knowledgeable in Chinese media (e.g. Chinese sayings, culture, slangs, etc.). Definitely one of the best reads I've had in a really long time. <<less

The story is light-hearted, fun, and humorous.

The main couple is very loving and sweet (though the ML's personalities aren't really my cup of tea). They understand each other well, and most of the time, they act stickier than a pair of twins. Meanwhile, the side characters are silly and adorable. I kind of pity them for witnessing so many PDAs out of the blue, but their cluelessness is truly amusing. Idk since most people in this story are high schoolers; their behaviors are really fun to read about, especially for... more>> someone like me who graduated long ago. It feels strangely nostalgic.

However, since the main couple are powerful, already in love, and also reborn/time travel, there's basically nothing they can't handle, hence some of the narrative turned out pretty boring to me (the face slapping parts are well-written, though, and they're pretty novel. I like it a lot!).

Overall, it's a good light read and I enjoyed reading it. 😀 <<less

omg I just love this story so muchhhh, like this had everything <3 a nontoxic and healthy relationship, time travel where they got justice nd soo soo love the fact that even made their younger brothers lives better by making them all learn together it was so heart whelming, and omfg how they came out to the people around them, I hope every closeted people feel comfortable, not ashamed of their orientation and live their life the way they love. Putting this on hold for now so no rating yet, I know its just the beginning but Lin Qian is just... how do I put this, he doesn't seem interested? Or more like half hearted? Most of the time he just coaxes Zheng PingQing, so far I haven't seen him take the initiative to be affectionate, I also feel like ZPQ is just gaining transparency in the background, so far I feel like LQ is the only one being built. ZPQ, he really does have rose tinted glasses on. He's... more>> so affectionate he forgot to even keep his og relationship with his bros, constantly pushing them away, whilst LQ still keeps his. Ofc they both don't lose anything but it feels as if ZPQ does, or more like he's missing out. For example;

in the BDAY Party LQ got so much attention, he's liked by a girl, and built quite a reputation bc of the ice skating scene. It might come later on in the story but why do I feel like LQ is the only one receiving the limelight? I feel so unfair hahahhhhgghhh... See, it feels as if ZQ is receiving the short end of the stick, like his only purpose is to love LQ sure I understand his character setting but it annoys a part of me, why is it that unlike LQ he never spends time with his bros, why is it that he can't have someone who likes him too, why is it that every good thing is directed to LQ? Its like they made his only purpose to love LQ and nothing else, like he doesn't care about anything but him and everything else is just something fleeting. Its annoying. I wouldn't mind if LQ is as devoted as him but he only bounced back the affection he was given and never took the initiative.

When Dong MingEn said "Do-do you want to do me?" to Xu Yao, I laughed so hard that I scared my brother lmao. It's a funny misunderstanding that Dong MingEn thought Xu Yao is the same like Lin Qian and Zheng PingQing (gay yk) because Xu Yao keep asking Dong MingEn for gift (while they're all drunk) cause he tutored him like how Zheng PingQing bought matching watches to pay him back for the tutoring (it's actually an excuse). It's a shame that they're both not couple but I really like a novel which only the main character have romantic relationship.

ahhh cute! Cuddly and cute, captures the weirdness of teenager-dom a lot, where everything seems so much more intense and life or death, when you can only see things much clearly after you're grown. I love how loyal the respective friend groups are, and how cute they bonded together in the end! The two main leads took care of their lil underlings well the second time around, and got to fix up old relationships. A little meditative, a lot of cuteness!

Looking for a pure fluff story without angst, you are at the right place. I usually avoid slice of life between students as it involves s*upid misunderstandings between the couple. So this was what I expected on starting this novel. However this was a gem. Although they have to face their past troubles together, the couple stood strong in their love and was resolute to let no one interfere. And the fact that they both defended each other and not let people walk over them was the best.

This was a really good read. Lots of face slaps and no misunderstandings (between the MC and ML). My favourite part of the novel though is the MC older sister. She has her own story at the end in the extras and I just wish we had her full story! I would definitely read if the author did a sequel about her after the extra chapters. She’s my fave type of FL and her story was so interesting.
