This is basically CHINA NUMBER 1!!!

Despite its intriguing premise, fails to rise above the sea of clichés and struggles with an oddly persistent sense of paranoia that permeates the narrative.

Let's start with the characters. Unfortunately, they're not much better than cardboard cutouts in this one. The protagonist, despite the supposed rebirth and the genius system, lacks the depth needed to make them compelling. It's like the author is more focused on ticking off the usual checklist for a power fantasy than actually crafting a character with genuine growth and complexity.

The... more>> plot is a ride on the cliché express. Sure, the concept of being reborn with an ultimate genius system has potential, but the execution feels like a checklist of familiar tropes without any real innovation. Wish-fulfillment takes center stage, and any opportunity for a unique and engaging narrative is sacrificed for the sake of predictability.

The time moves so slow. The pacing feels off, and it's hard to believe that only two months have passed after slogging through 160 chapters and a year only passes with only 15-20% left to the story. A more balanced approach to time progression could have contributed significantly to the overall coherence of the story.

The most perplexing aspect is the constant assumption that everyone else is out to get China. It's as if the author is seeing enemies around every corner, and the narrative becomes saturated with an unwarranted sense of paranoia. While conflict and tension can add depth to a story, the relentless portrayal of external forces as antagonistic to China seems more like a forced narrative choice rather than a naturally evolving plot point.

In summary, "Reborn with the Ultimate Genius System" fails to break free from the shackles of clichés and questionable narrative choices. The characters lack depth, the plot follows a well-worn path, and the persistent paranoia about external threats to China feels forced and detracts from the overall enjoyment of the novel. It's a missed opportunity to explore a unique concept in a more refreshing and engaging manner.

If I had to describe this novel in one word, it would be 'Frivolous'. I didn't expect much from this genre but this book is too lacking.

First, the mathematical world problems and conjectures. The MC publishes all kinds of papers but the author didn't bother to properly research the actual method of publishing. The writing of this issue is too casual and lacking in authenticity.

Second, realism. As of chapter 161, the story is only two or so months from the beginning. However, within that time, the MC has shown himself... more>> to be a genius in all kinds of fields, won many competitions, and 'legitimately' earned a lot of money. From whichever perspective, his growth and rise are unrealistic but no one seems to notice. It's strange how he 'suddenly' becomes a master of something yet no one has seen him study or practice. My problem is not that the MC is OP but that he doesn't try to conceal his strangeness.

Third, business. The MC seems to have no understanding of how business works but pretends to be a master. The MC casually starts a company every few days without in-depth consideration of anything. Suddenly, a restaurant can be started in a matter of days, a network company can be started and the MC doesn't even consider copyright etc. It's all very absurd even for this genre.

Fourth, characterisation. There are no deep characters in the novel. All the characters are shallow and their interactions are frivolous.

Fifth, romance. It's sweet but skin-deep.

Overall, this book is partially enjoyable but only for a short time. <<less

The story was full of fluff at first, and still is but...

The systen is just ridiculous.

The MC became a study genius, okay. But then a painting genius, a calligraphy genius, a cooking genius??

... more>> Its ridiculous that everyone believes he can cook 5 star dishes just by "I studied online"

He's undet 20! Barely 18 or 19!!!

The story became lackluster and boring when they entet university. The MC is solving World-Class math problems left and right.

NP-complete, one of the notoriously most diffculy math problems to tackle was solvrd in 3 houfs by "writing furiously on paper"

What the heck?

Riemann hypothesis, unsolved for 100 years, gets solved by him in 7 days just because he worked hard?

Ita ridiculous! I hate system stories that just give free hand out and make a young man like god.

Everyone is constantly shocked and praising him for being a genius, the interactions with the FL, which we are here for, have been reduced to dialogue and "they did this or that and went back"

There's also the motorious patriotism, but I don't mind it because these stories are written by chinese people for chinese people, we're just reading a translation.

Nonetheless, the story became annoying.

Man is barely 20 and he's already a genius at everything. That's not a genius, that a physical impossibility!

I lost it with the story around ch50 maybe, when the system straight up handed him a "10x themoney you make in x days" making me question "with such ass pulls and hand waiving, what's the worth of seeing the MC progress? Wait.. He's not progressing at all, he's just getting one system plug in after the other"

From 4/5 to 2/5

Edit: its even more boring and pathetic past ch100. MC gets invited to America to study and is even treated with great respect. He directly refuses, acting extremely rude and even unnecessarily aggressive, saying his country will be number 1 and whatnot and acting like a wounded animal.

The other party didn't even say anything, they just asked if he's interested with nothing but respect and willingness to comply. Surely thet are poaching a talent, but it was a polite question.

It shows a shallow mind, imho, that the author sees the world in black and white. Let's leave it at that.

Im disappointed by how this gem turned. Its like someone picked a diamond, covered it in dirt and threw it away as a useless lump of dirt <<less
