So, FL thinks she’s the only human in their village because all other villagers have animal heads, including the priest, who all crave for her? When ML arrived, he concluded that it was because of the hallucination tea the old woman in their house makes her drink (the one who ab*sed her and her brother). Later on, turns out people were wearing animal masks, which shocked the ML (I think they were a cult?).

Aside from the above, THIS plot twist is what I REALLY liked. The author described the interaction between the priest and FL in a way that the priest was an old pe*vert (well, maybe he is kinda, but still different). Turns out, the priest has known her ever since she was a child, he gave her hope back then, then continued to watch over her as she grew up (they’re almost the same age).

We could say he was obsessed with her—everything about her. Somehow, he was waiting for her to make a sin so he can finally approach her face to face, to follow her selfish desires. Then when ML killed the old lady in the house, the priest thought FL finally gave up to her desires. So he approached, only to be shocked by the entanglement of the ML and FL. Here we can see from that on how obsessed he was.

It was not really so shocking, what I liked is how the leads responded. When the priest died saving the FL, the FL realized that he was HER angel all along. The one who protected her all along—she had a great image of him. The ML, IDK if he knew he was the priest, let the FL be careful and attached to that angel of hers, even offering comfort. I just find it fascinating that till the end, the priest was mentions as her angel, at this point he might be one of the leads. AND, I love how the author wrote that the priest has obtained his goal, to be loved, appreciated, and simply known by his salvation, Cinq (FL).
