Neither good or bad. It's just very boring and predictable. MC, who is the villain, like other WN NTR the "hero" of the story by being present and active for a couple of months and bam, she likes him more than the other guy. Sort of already predicted evil church. "Good" people are bad, and "bad" people are being redeemed. Gave 3/5 since it's just average. It doesn't fail at being a novel like others do w/ their flaws but I can't say it's done anything well.

Very clumsy structure and very shallow narration.

The author makes huge timeskips and ignores even the important stuff.

For example, the hero goes to another state to get food for his own state — they are attacked by people and the MC fights for them. When everything is over, a feast is mentioned and in the next chapter we are already back home. What about the dialog with the king and the discussion of politics? What about the corpses of thousands of people? What about the food?

This is a very superficial work, the motivation of the characters is cardboard. The only plus is a working template about being reborn as a villain. Although the hero (enemy of MC) is spelled out terribly (he's just obsessive and can't draw conclusions from what happened - although he's supposed to be a protagonist worthy adversary, as a result defeating him is not satisfying).

But battles in general can be satisfying at times. <<less

As it is now, it seems to be another story of the, already cliche I might add, selfless japanese character reincarnated into a villain and chosing to a different path than the possessed would have done in the original story.

Now, with so few chapters released, it's hard to tell how things will evolve, so I'll refrain from leaving a score, but, for now, I am still interested in seeing how things develop. I shall update with a rating and first impression once things get going a little bit more, whether... more>> that will be good or bad, unless of course it becomes just boring and I'll forget about it. Till then tho, I'll end with a somewhat positive, yet narcissistic, note. I didn't drop this till now, and that's more than I could say about many others, so take this as you will. <<less
