As a grand duchess with a body like glass, I lost my life in a severe seizure.

No, rather, I thought I had lost it.

“…I want you.”

Then, I was reincarnated as a woman who looked just like me.

However, isn’t this woman’s body too healthy?

The joy of having a healthy body is brief, everyone says this to me this.

Because this woman is my perfect husband’s mistress.

I attended my own funeral in order to hear the truth.

I saw a handsome man there, crying even more than my own husband, as if the world had suddenly collapsed.

Who is that man, who I’ve never seen before?

And actually, this woman…

…Is she my husband’s mistress?

FL
Spoiler

Adrienne Piretta, or Trovica. In her 'first life', she married Noevian Trovica and endured the mistreat of her maids and butlers naively. Although physically weak, she was incredibly intelligent. The next words will be spoilers, read at your own risk.

**

She was the twin sister of Blair Acacia, who had plotted to show her the true state of her situation. Her weakness, rather than illness, was caused from a lack of magical power, as Blair, who'd been born first, accidentally took the magical power first. Rather than Noevian, she first fell for 'An', who Noevian had impersonated. It was later revealed that An was 'Rhodnes', the Male Lead.

ML
Spoiler

Rhodnes, the Second Prince of the Ronta Empire, who is known for his incredible appearance, cold gaze and ominous eyes. He is the silver haired man on the cover screen. There are only three people he cares about, FL, Crown Prince Bardenaldo, and Empress Letina. Next paragraph will be a spoiler, read at your own risk.

**

He was later revealed to be 'An', Adrienne's first love and best friend.

2NDML
Spoiler

Noevian Trovica, a pathetic man who was the Grand Duke of the North. He had a mistress, Blair Acacia, whom he saw as a substitute for Adrienne. Someone he could truly have. Spoilers onward, read at your own risk.

**

He was crazy, a dog who followed his nephew Bardenaldo, the Crown Prince. For context, he has Royal blood, and was 23rd in line for the throne when the Emperor in this story was the Crown Prince. To save his life and keep what he could get, he didn't strive and followed the Emperor loyally, and now the Crown Prince. Initially, he did not love Adrienne, and it was only at Bardenaldo's urging did he pretend to be 'An' and pursue her, as well as marry. He later fell for her, after everything had been done, and went mad. He is still alive within the story, but does not appear within the epilogue at the request of Adrienne, who asked him to become his own person, and leave his past behind.

BLAIR
Spoiler

An incredibly interesting character. The mistress of Noevian whom was said to be extremely vain, only liking new things and often seen as having a dislike for Adrienne. She was said to be s*upid, thoughtless, and only a substitute. Spoilers onward, read at your own risk.

**

She was later revealed to be Adrienne Piretta's twin sister, her older sister who had been discarded from the Piretta Grand Duchy because she had 'killed her mother', as well as because she had magic. The Grand Duke did not want her taking the place of heir in front of their older brother (who still later on gave her position of Grand Duchess). Incredibly complex character, who although was as Blair was first thought to be in the beginning, soon learnt Adrienne also went through her own hardships and learned, becoming a better person and planning to hand over her body to Adrienne, with the possibility she might die. Nonetheless, she planned to allow Adrienne to work through this with her own power and intelligence. Later in the story, she is a protective older sister to Adrienne, and a lovable character with strength.

CROWN PRINCE AND PRINCESS
Spoiler

Bardenaldo, the Crown Prince, and Doris, the Crown Princess. Both seem to be saintly, intelligent and thoughtful, as well as powerful figures within the story. Extremely important to the plot, as well as pivotal. Next will be spoilers, read at your own risk.

**

Bardenaldo was later revealed as a necrophiliac, who avoided having children with Doris simply because he wasn't attracted to her. He planned for Adrienne to marry Noevian, with the plan for her to later become his mistress (he wished for her to die, so he could have her corpse). He convinced Duke Piretta to agree, with the promise she'd later become his Empress. He was then killed by Doris, who had been able to restore a law which allowed wives to be passed onto the brother of their husband's (in the case their husband died).

Doris was later revealed to have an attraction to Rhodnes which bordered on infatuation. She was mu*derous, s*upid and impulsive. She had also tried to look like Adrienne, and also Blair, when she noticed Adrienne had caught Rhodnes's attention. She died by execution, at the hand of Rhodnes, who gathered all her crimes and announced her as a demon with the help of Blair and Adrienne.

Okay, it's been a while since I've actually read novels and manhwas and so on, so I'm trying to get used to writing reviews again

basic premise of the plot is exactly as mentioned in the summary. The FL reincarnates into the body of a woman who looks exactly like her, only with black hair (pay attention to this plot point, as it will be involved later on again). She later finds out she is in the body of 'Blair Acacia' (Translations can also call her Blie, etc..). Her first thought is to find her husband, Noevian, who coincidentally is the 2ndML. But nonetheless we continue to tell the story.

Now I've read this in a few days, meaning I can more or less recall the whole plot. For those who want to read but find out the novellate redirect doesn't actually take you anywhere, you need to search it up and go onto novellate's ko-fi. From there you click onto their link, which takes you to a website (which for some won't allow you to access, if you can't get through open the link on another browser). From this, press novel lists and scroll till you find this novel. The rest of the steps are obvious.

Back to the story

when trying to find her husband, she decides to go through a multitude of steps which leads her to find out that 'Blair' is Noevian's mistress. It frustrates her when she finally accepts the truth, and she becomes hateful towards Blair, going to self-harm to punish her.

But before this, I need to mention FL's life before reincarnation, as there was a small buildup on this in the beginning, which continued to be built on as the story continued.
    • FL was treated badly by her maids, they did not respect her
    • They barely fed her, ridiculed and laughed at her
    • She had a low self-esteem from this
    • Spoiler

They were mainly maids and workers sent by higher powers, (Crown Prince, Crown Princess..) and were sent to keep an eye on both Noevian and FL.

      [collapse]
    • Noevian knew, and didn't act to prevent this even though he loved her.
Probably more which I've forgotten, but you get the main point. They were shitty.

Back to the plot, she had also seen ML at her grave, but didn't recognise him and left before he could chase her. They later meet again, and him, refusing to like her because she only looked like Adrienne and was also Noevian's mistress. They decided to work together, to get revenge on Noevian and also help ML find FL's original body, so he could confirm whether she actually died normally. And also to confirm whether she was actually dead.

The plot continues like that, but expands as FL gradually gains feelings for ML, seeing his feelings for her old self. There are mentions of the other major characters early on, but mainly expands on these two. She reveals her true identity around chapter 40-50, preventing him from killing himself as he did not want to live in a world without her. From there, things quickly develop as they both are aware of their feelings, but don't openly acknowledge them. The story continues as FL finds more about the circumstances, learning the truths and so on. Spoilers from now on, and they get deep. Don't read unless you aren't actually planning to read the story.

Spoiler

FL meets Doris (Crown Princess), and becomes something of a maid for her.

She uses this chance to expand her connections and get closer to Noevian quickly, so she can get her revenge. It works, and FL meets Noevian, finally ruining his reputation with the help of ML as she questions him about everything, finding out the real culprit behind her death was Bardenaldo, the Crown Prince. Noevian is then taken away, and almost killed by ML, who was stopped by Bardenaldo. But ML was still able to get the truth, and later questioned Bardenaldo who admitted to the few things. After, the ML and FL both brew in what seems to be a growing misunderstanding. Which is quickly quelled as they communicate, with ML telling her he is on her side, and will help her find the truth, even if he cares for Bardenaldo. Chapters progress, and Doris essentially discards FL (who doesn't care). FL then takes place as Bardenaldo's aide, to find out whether he is a good person. I forgot to mention, but her main goal was to find her mother's necklace, in which she thought Noevian had. So in the story when Noevian was brought to a Palace for a celebration, FL took the chance to meet him. She'd already told him her identity, so he was ready to give everything for her.

He tells her he doesn't have the necklace, and almost miraculously, Bardenaldo appears, dishevelled. (Earlier, Doris had attempted to have s*x with him by drugging him with aphrodisiacs, but failed as even those didn't affect him beyond the simple things. In essence, he didn't get hard). FL moves to help him, but notices her mother's necklace around his neck. She's surprised, and late rafter parting ways she decides to go to his room. When blocked by guards, she calmly makes a reason and tells them to inform ML, before she walks into the room quicky.

[collapse]

Things get even worse from here..

Spoiler

She looks around an empty room, before going to the painting and tilting it, watching as a passageway opens up. She walks in, quickly going down the steps and watching as she finds a room full of corpses, and Bardenaldo is laying there, draped over a glass case which FL's old body is in. Surprised, she watches, noticing how Bardenaldo was ere*t from all the corpses, frustrated and almost mad as he takes FL's mother's necklace, and tries to open it. Because he wanted to open the glass case which held FL's corpse. FL makes herself known, and then Bardenaldo turns his frustrations to her, moving and trying to choke her whilst muttering mad things. Noevian appears, punching Bardenaldo and saving FL, who quickly takes her mother's necklace back from Bardenaldo. A conversation ensues, Bardenaldo reveals secrets and ML appears just as Bardenaldo adds he didn't actually love ML, and that he actually despised him. Drama happens, ML is heartbroken and FL somehow enters her old body, taking the chance to stab Bardenaldo in the back and comfort ML, who was ready to kill Bardenaldo. FL, smartly, makes Noevian kill Bardenaldo, when guards appear, they both blame it on Noevian. She then takes Blair's body, which isn't hers anymore, she washes out the magical black dye (literally, magic was used as hair dye), and dresses Blair up, making her look like herself and putting her into the glass case, closing it quickly. More drama happens, FL finds the truth about her family (read spoilers about FL and BLAIR). More drama happens, Doris fully kills Bardenaldo, ML decides to become Crown Prince to protect FL and Doris pretends to be a saintess and so on. I'm getting tired here, so I won't explain in detail and will just skim over. FL takes charge, pretending to resurrect Blair, who was still alive and only needed to share magic to awake. Everyone thought she was Adrienne, who was dead, and everyone who didn't know the truth believed her. Blair played along (girlboss), and said Doris needed to be killed. FL hugs Blair, and the story passes as ML proposes to FL, who accepts. They quickly overshadow the former couple because of how loving they are, and soon after they're married, FL is found to be pregnant. Yay.

[collapse]

My last part is that, although parts were cliche, the story itself was very good, and had a lot of cliffhangers and plot points I didn't expect. I missed out a lot of details, which made the story even better, but it was clear the story was well thought out, with foreshadowing and a great relationship between the ML and FL. The communication between them was good, could've been better at some parts but it was amazing compared to most MLs and FLs these days. In short, a 5/5 from me.

Storywise, it is good. Lot of plots, lot of mysteries. Sometime the plot seems nonsense or too much of a coincidence, but it get explained later.

Translation is not the best. Mixed pronouns, sometime it is not clear who is the one talking, or even what they are talking about.
