A common theme of regression stories is that the protagonist has regrets about how they lived their life and are in a desperate situation.

The regrets are there in this case, but the situation is not actually desperate. Instead the MC became extremely successful and experienced in areas that are actually useful to his ambitions and was planning to finally start working on his dream instead of following generic career opportunities as they presented themselves.

In regressing to the most pivotal moment of his life, he gets to resolve his regrets in... more>> a way that they never happened in the first place, but in terms of position he's actually at a disadvantage.

The regression occurs after a traffic accident, but if not for this accident, he certainly could have realised his dreams anyway - just 20 years later.

That said, it nevertheless makes for an interesting story with a mix of overcoming his position and concealing his diverse talents in order to succeed with his own dream instead of being derailed again and the occasional use of pre-regression knowledge to smoothe gaps in the production with people that are guaranteed to be successful.

Other than the MC, the characters have not yet been shown in significant depth, but they're still entertaining and to some extent endearing.

Alongside the drama and suspense of the main plot, the dialogues contain an adequate account of humour - enough to be entertaining, but not too much to take the story seriously.

I've enjoyed reading the story so far, and I hope it will explore the side characters in greater depth later on, and have the MC form emotional bonds with them. <<less

Not bad, not great, kinda boring for me. I think the lack of appeal is that other stories usually spice things up by making the MC a hated character or putting him in a very precarious situation. There's none of that here. The MC is well-liked and starts off strong. That means that from then on, it's just a steady rise to the top. Not something I'm interested in, unfortunately.
