His beloved fiancée was summoned to join the Hero’s party, and they were separated.

For three years, he desperately supported the Hero’s party from afar, eventually becoming an S-rank adventurer.

However, when they finally reunited, his fiancée had been unfaithful—with the Hero.

“Things turned out like this, and I couldn’t even repay my gratitude… At least, I want to return the swords.”

Abel Sixam, known as the wielder of the “Four Swords,” lost the purpose of living with his fiancée. He sets off on a journey to return the magic swords that had become his symbol to the person who gave it to him.

—Little did he know that along the way, he would be entangled with beautiful women from his past adventures and come to understand the meaning of what he had done and the purpose of his life.

Meanwhile, his ex-fiancée desperately tries to get back together with him, but the women block her completely.

She, along with the Hero, falls into a hellish life of regret.

TLDR: Surprisingly, I actually found this harem novel enjoyable which is pretty rare. The novel setup was a lot more nicely done than many others. There is also some main plot, and that main plot, the cheater girl and ntr hero was just enough to make you invest into the novel. However, the novel is really most just great in the premise and average on everything else, without having improvements and staying on status quo. The harem/romance elements are good but equally paired with a 50+chap frustrating virg*n protection cryboy

However,... more>> there are plenty of weak points in the novel. Such as the countless plotholes. One example being with so many people able to just completely overwhelm the demon king, the moment the hero was called upon, why didn't they become his party members or just carry him as all he needs to do is use his hero power to do the final blow so he won't ressurect? Instead a group of essentially newbie adventures get made. With the mc's fiance being a sore thumb that shouldnt even be there. Plenty of glaring plotholes like these in the settings.

Other than the base setup of the novel, the developments afterwards aren't honestly that great, though again, I think it's pretty good for a harem novel considering how sh1t they often are. Almost everything is very predictable and obvious too. And the novel lose lots of its flare, because the author doesn't really attempt to improve upon the main plot nor characters at all.

All the characters are pretty hard defined, this is especially so for the antagonists and the protagonist. The main 2 antagonists, the old FL and hero, are very rigidly made into absolute scum, and they have zero developments like feeling remorseful etc. It felt very forced.

But the most annoying character is honestly our protagonist. This is because the author is making this an unfiltered novel that talks about r18 things, but our MC has been stuck in whiney baby jpn virg*n protag that pushes everything away constantly with very lame excuses. It's literally been 50 fkn chapters and he is still acting like a sore heartbroken lover even when his every other reaction contradicts this. He literally sees them clothless plenty of times, many overly done constant harem scenes, and even him getting touched below, but the author always pushes it off like by him running away abruptly- while constantly saying to give him more time... for 50 chapters......

Speaking of which, again, I said developments, but it's more accurate to say the executions of everything is pretty bad in this novel. The harem is honestly overdone in this novel, and it's pretty annoying kind as again the author is writing this as a smut novel but also mashes our protag as a common virg*n protection protagonist so it creates a very awkward annoying read for lots of these parts. And the harem elements are often Overton and unrealistic. Literally, and I mean literally, everywhere he fkn goes now he has a girl on each arm and another girl hugging him from behind everywhere they walk now, in public, everywhere. Like God. How does he even get around, and why does no one in the fk witness a or b care even remotely?

There were also plenty of action scenes, too many action scenes, very drawn out multiple chapter single fight action scenes. These, honestly, we're heavy filler, and this novel is filled with that type of filler content. Even when it isn't always fighting. Lots of this novel is honestly skim content you are skimming to skip through a very elongated repetitive section to get to the mainplot or the downtime story / harem in between.

Im too lazy to write more, but note I think it's still better than most of the crap jpn harem fantasy novels, as I got to 50 chapters. But it's really the premise that does great. There's no real improvement on the post, and average novel throughout otherwise, with enough hooked mainplot of wanting to know what will become of our two main antagonists. It's hard to suggest but I do think it'll be enjoyable, but more of a time dump novel I'd say. <<less

I had pretty low expectations going into this, thinking it was just gonna be a quick time waster, and my expectations were betrayed in the best way possible.

You already have an idea of how the story goes from the description, so I'll just focus on what makes this novel special.

 • The Protagonist.
I don't think I've ever read a novel with this premise where the MC's emotions and mental state were so vividly and realistically portrayed. He's not the kind of guy who can just cut off everything, or can instantly hate... more>> the person he's loved and trusted his whole life. The first 20 chapters show how he tries to overcome his grief, as well as how the people around him interact with him and help him. It's a somewhat soberingly accurate depiction of what depression looks like,

with not even his friends not realizing how bad things really are until they find with with his sword pressed against his throat.

 • The Heroines
At the beginning they felt totally generic and one-dimensional, but this changes and improves very quickly. There's been minimal actual character development for them so far, since the story has been focusing almost entirely on the MC, but their actions, characters, setting, and writing give me a lot of hope for how the author will develop them.

I really hope the author can keep his current momentum and quality, because if he does then this is going to be an absolute GEM of a story that stands head and shoulders above the others in this genre. I think that'll be pretty difficult, but I have high hopes for it. <<less

Its my first time reading a jp novel where there's big difference gap between summoned hero versus an S-rank adventurer. Two chapters and got hooked to read this one.

Spoiler

Abel being S-RANK is one of 11 powerful S-Rank that holds power in their kingdom. His fiancee, Miria, as in every betrayed/netorare novels, cheated with Hero who is currently engaged to the princess. Yea, two POS!!

In the novel, it implied that monogamy is practice, but polygamy is embraced due to low population cause of many deaths due to demon king and monsters invasion, etc. Abel and Miria is on monogamy terms but here she is opening legs other than her fiance! This terms as stated in, is a 'soul bond oath'.
chapter9 as Fley/Frey said "That oath means 'you can only be bound to the one you made the oath with for life, ' right? It's unforgivable."
Looking forward on how this story progress in the following days/weeks/months/years. <<less

The author has a great writing style, I totally enjoyed my reading time with this piece. The characters is enjoyable and this piece has one the most healthy MC ever written, he is totally aware of himself, be it in strength, emotion, and status, he has total control of what considered his own, there is no socially inept or beta MC. He even actively used his social status influence brought by his power to shut up any bad rumor about him. The only problem I have with this is the... more>> same as any other jp, it has a lot of unrelated information dumb, be it food fact or just an explanation in the middle of the battle, it is tedious to read sometime but it is few and far in between.

The story is also interesting albeit a bit cliche but with a better cast of characters. I also got hooked with the world building about s-rank power level especially about the MC because of how much hype the author give it, it was executed really well. I really looking forward how this going to progress especially about the harem because like I said, the MC is healthy person who in control of his life, that's a rare instance in harem genre. <<less
