The world in which Lin Zhaohe survives is very strange. Here, the second and third dimensions merge, and characters from novels and anime appear one after another. Horror movies, romance films, children’s anime… the world seems like it could collapse at any moment. Lin Zhaohe decides to debut as a magical girl in order to save the world. However, due to the fact that idols do not have social security benefits, Lin Zhaohe can only temporarily work as a corporate sl*ve at Zhuang Lao’s Insurance Company.

Lin Zhaohe: Why do I have to be a corporate sl*ve even when it’s the end of the world?

Zhuang Lao: Is it because of my love? Is it for the responsibility towards the clients?

Lin Zhaohe: No, it’s because of poverty.

And then Lin Zhaohe’s New Year’s wish became hoping for the second dimension to disappear so they could work safely until the age of sixty and retire.

This novel is good—not the best of the author's works, but still amazing. It starts with a main character (MC) who works for an insurance company during a doomsday scenario. The twist is that the 3D world is fusing with the 2D world. Everything ever created—movies, games, anime, manga, and novels—starts merging with reality.

Initially, this fusion brings great excitement to people. However, when villains or tragic characters from these stories begin to appear, they bring their negative traits into the real world, creating a devastating experience. This becomes particularly poignant... more>> when a character who was supposed to be good and amazing ends up killing citizens. There is a good explanation for this at the end, but it still made me sad, especially when another person had to suffer for mistakes he made.

The story continues with the characters trying to live a normal life after such a situation. The journey and the resolution provided a compelling read.

One of my disappointments with this novel was that we never found out why the fusion was happening or what caused it. The lack of an explanation left a huge plot hole, which was frustrating. Additionally, some of the resolutions of some arcs felt rushed and left me thinking, "That's it?" The small plot holes and abrupt endings detracted from the story. While the journey and thrilling excitement somewhat mitigated my frustration, I still wanted a more satisfying conclusion.

Only a few acrs received proper conclusions; most just ended abruptly, leaving me wanting more. The explanations given were not up to my expectations. Although it's not my novel, and my expectations don't dictate its direction, I felt it had the potential to be much better, especially considering the author's other works.

On a positive note, the romance between the MC and ML was sweet. They supported each other well, and the author did a great job creating backgrounds and connections between characters, including them being

and the tragedies. Perhaps because I didn't read the extras or pay as much attention, I didn't feel as sad about their situation. At least they got a second chance to rectify things.

Despite its flaws, the novel was entertaining and deserves a higher rating. Initially, I would have rated it four stars, but the current low ratings and lack of reviews made me want to encourage more people to read it. If you can overlook the plot holes, it's a great novel with good romance (albeit slow), good action, mystery, a bit of horror, strong friendships, camaraderie, and comedy. Sometimes, I wished the author would spare the MC from embarrassing situations, but overall, it was a really good read. I highly recommend it and hope more people give it a chance.

Please my review is not to be trusted as it is solely based on my feelings. I really love the novel and I have plans on rereading it after the translation is completed. If it's not your choice though, then no problem. Everyone has something they don't like. <<less

After scrolling through this author's other works, I was thoroughly shocked that those titles are written by the same author. I really did not expect it, especially Turns Out I'm Crazy and A Smile From The Villain...

The contrast is really too big. I feel like my three views were thoroughly smashed to dust. If the kind of concept depicted in this article really comes to life, this author would be targeted really badly by her creations.

After reading Lu Xiatian's situation, I get the impression that she is a projection of the author. But who am I kidding, everything is a projection of the author.

The introductions lie, MC did not choose the magical girl life, Magical girl life chose the MC. <<less

This story is like if crackfic author grew up a little and this is what they wrote. It's scary and the MC is kind of just dumb and strong, but I'm not sure if it's in a funny way. Overall I read about 20 chapters because I'm not a big horror person. I was expecting more magical girl, but that's really just one chapter that gets mentioned, but no more magic happens. This is more of a detective series where the MC, the ML boss, and the rest of the... more>> people in the insurance company run around trying to keep people alive. Maybe it has potential, but I've just read two horror stories in a row. Also, murica dies and I don't like stories where I die in one paragraph. I just like for stories to be a lot more predictable and to follow a strong overarching goal, so I'm dropping this. If we had the ML as a protagonist, and the overall plot introduced at the beginning involved everyone in the world being a character and they all have to compete in the same universe I would be more interested, but judging from other reviews the world is never explained, and this is basically a apocalyptic survival game without a win condition. <<less
